The Kitchen (along with The Kitchen Next door and The Kitchen Upstairs) is a farm-to-table restaurant that families and foodies alike will enjoy. (The owner is Elon Musk's brother, Kimbal Musk, and Elon visits when in town.) Not only do they have amazing brunch, lunch, and dinner but they generously support our community.
The Kitchen Community, is a 501c3 non-profit organization with the mission of “Community Through Food.” The Kitchen Community builds Learning Gardens to connect kids with Real Food. The Kitchen Community has already built over 200 Learning Gardens in schools across Colorado, Chicago, Los Angeles and Memphis reaching over 120,000 students.

If you are in Boulder you MUST visit the historic tea house. Located next to the creek, by central park this building was handcrafted and given to the city of boulder by the city Dushanbe, Tajikistan as a gift.

The Hungry Toad is the best local diner and only 5 minute walking distance from our place. It is a hidden gem! British diner theme. Their buffalo wings and hamburgers are amazing.

There is no shortage of coffee shops in Boulder but the Unseen Bean is our favorite. The owner, Gerry Leary, has been blind since birth and roasts all the coffee beans locally by smell. He is a close friend of ours and worked as a mechanic before studying coffee and opening his shop. All the coffee is fair-trade and organic. Sure, there are lots of places to get coffee around here, but this one is a gem close to our hearts.

Downtown Bus station. You can take the "Skip" up broadway and get off just before Portland Place. Our place is 2 blocks from the bus stop. There is an express bus that goes straight between Boulder and DIA.

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is a very special place; a 720 acre refuge for rescued lions, tigers, bears and wolves. It is the largest and oldest carnivore sactuary in the county and one of the only places you can see Prides of African Lions and other large carnivores living freely in wide open spaces. Most of the animals were confiscated from terrible places, this sanctuary is a incredible non-profit that we are happy to have in our community and support. They are located 30 miles northeast of denver.
