Wat Huay Monkol Temple
Beautiful grounds, gardens and Buddhist icons surround this enormous statue of one of Thailand's most revered monks. It's about a 30 minute drive but we recommend a visit if you have time and transport.
Nice beach with rock formations and hiking trails. Good food served on the beach.

Huge beach where locals gather for food, fun, sun and shade. This place is in the middle of a very long beach and is good for swimming and a long evening walk along the shore. There may be a small fee for foreigners in cars at the entry check point.

It's an hour drive south to our provincial capital. A laid back Thai town set right on the ocean with few tourists and good seafood and night markets.The beach at Ao Manao bay is a lovely must see spot just south of the town center.
