This is it, arguably the center of modern Korean culture. The main stuff to see is actually between here and Sinnonhyeon and fairly equally divided, but Teheran-ro often reminds people of Wall Street as much or more than Gangnam-daero makes people think of Times Square.

A landmark in the area, this is the place that started it all. Any taxi driver will also conveniently know this location, so it will be easier to get back to the apartment than many other places.

영동홈마트 is a pretty good, close place to get basic groceries. There aren't any really big shops around for that based on what kind of an area this is.

It's the best one right in this area, but it is overall a poor example of a CGV (Korea's best movie theater chain). If you want to see a high-tech theater in action, head a little more towards the river and catch one of the 4D showings at CGV CineCity.
