West Kennet Long Barrow is a Neolithic tomb, situated on a chalk ridge, just down from Silbury Hill. Great to walk to in the morning whilst its quite. A short walk not taxing. You can even go into the tomb.

The White horse is a hill figure on Cherhill Down, 3.5 miles from Calne. It dates from the late 18th Century and is the third oldest of several White Horses in England. Near the White Horse is the Lansdowne Monument. erected in 1845 by the 3rd Marquess of Landsdowne to commemorate his ancestor Sir William Petty. You can walk up to both and see also the Oldbury Castle Hillfort.

Corsham Court , a Royal Manor in the Saxon times the home of the Methuen family. It is based on an Elizabethan house dating from 1582. Plenty of Old Master Paintings, Van Dyke, Carlo Dolic, Flilppo Lippi, Salvator Rosa,Reynolds and Romney.
The picture gallery was designed by Capabillity Brown and is 72ft in length.
There is a lot to see, along with furniture by Chippendale, Thomas Johnson,John Cobb and the Adam Brothers.
Peacocks take over the grounds and Corsham town centre.
Corsham is a Poldark film set. It becomes Truro in Cornwall for part of the year.
