The tower that dominates the port was built in the 16th century as a lookout point for the Berber pirates. During the day, the smoke gnomes warnedother towers on the coast from the presence of the canoes, and the irons stayed there when it got dark.
There are archaeological remains in 'La I l l eta'), next to the port, where circular huts dating back to 3000 B.C. have been found. Also known as "Banyets de l a Reina", you can see the remains of factories from Roman times.
