This is a historic sight where 2,000 foreigners from allied countries were incarcerated by the Japanese Army in World War II. A combined force of Philippine guerillas and U.S. Forces conducted a daring rescue resulting in the successful liberation of the prison camp. Visit the World War II Monument that commemorates this event at the back. There is a dungeon under the building which was also used during the war with an entrance kept secret by the building staff.

Look for relics of the past like the old lighthouse at the end of Burgos Street or the old Wharf behind the pump house of the Laguna Water District. Test your detective skills in searching for the old train station that is now hidden in a crowded neighborhood. Also try to see how the old Gabaldon Building looks like in it's present state as a TESDA Training Center. Visit old resorts like the Agua Santa or the Immaculate Swimming Pool or the Lakeview Hotel which attracted tourists from all over during their heyday. Look for the house and now shrine of Jose Rizal’s brother Gen. Paciano Rizal then check out the goods in the public market. Cap your day by having a massage or a dip at the baths at the Los Banos Therapeutic Center or just watch the sun set by the bay while kids play at the park.
