Part speakeasy, part music venue - The Flatiron Room transports you once you enter through its velvet curtain. I've had many amazing nights here happening upon live bluegrass or jazz, while enjoying a whiskey flight or some amazing cocktails and light bites.

This dessert shop chain from Japan opened up a few years ago and I came so many times in one week the staff would giggle when they recognized me. If you want to have some lighter, fresh fruit-forward Asian desserts, this place is great. The Banana Cream Pie is also very different than more traditional versions, but I dare say I enjoy HARBS' more.

If you want to have some lighter, fresh fruit-forward Asian desserts, this place is great. The Banana Cream Pie is also very different than more traditional versions, but I dare say I enjoy HARBS' more.
Easily the best bagels in the neighborhood. Always busy on weekends, pro tip is to order ahead of time for pick up.

You don't have to go to Chinatown to get amazing dumplings. Excellent Dumpling actually moved to Chelsea two years ago from Chinatown, and it's been a consistent delivery order for me ever since. Skip the Americanized-Chinese Lunch Specials here, and stick to their tried and true affordable namesake dumplings - notably the Soup Dumplings, and the Pan-Fried Seafood Dumplings.

It's essentially a focaccia base as the dough, with each rectangular pizza crisped all around the edges in their own sheet pans. You can get a classic slice for just $5, but the pricier Mushroom Pizza is probably my favorite. It's also open daily until 4AM so this will be a lifesaver for those boozier nights.

Walking along the Hudson on a beautiful day can't be beat. It's also an amazing running path, and you'll see (or you can join) many New Yorkers who are probably training for a marathon.

While you can pay for their 45 minute classes at the studio or through ClassPass, Peloton's 30 minute classes are always free with walk-in availability.
