Street with all the franchise brands and some local. If you don't wanna be near other tourists, stay away. But if you wanna stroll for a couple of hours it's great. At the other end of the street you'll find the high end shops and there's an iconic department store called "Magasin". Near Strøget on Mikkel Bryggersgade is a small but great cinema "Grand" and the movies are not dubbed.

Sightseeing
When you're done shopping or for whatever reason you're strolling around the centre of the city, you should go up to Christiansborg and see the riding range behind it. I like the fact that the queens horses thrive in these stables, just next to the house where the democratic decisions are made. A paradox? Sometimes but not very often you'll see some horses and a carriage.
