Market Square is a great place for shopping and dining. Some of my favorite restaurants worldwide are located here! Most restaurants have pet-friendly patios. On Saturdays, you will find a farmer's market filled with many food and art vendors. There are often street performers to entertain you in Market Square, and if you are visiting during the holidays, an ice skating rink.

Gay St. has many restaurants and bars to offer. If you are visiting Knoxville on the first Friday of the month, you will find "First Friday" happening here which is a local favorite for art showings.
