A sweet township right near one of the most beautiful waterways in NSW. The fishing boats come into the Marina and drop off their fresh seafood for purchasing. From our unit, it is a 5 minute walk to the foreshore and the Bay, but if you walk some of the inviting shops and cafes, it may take you longer!

Easy to park at all the beaches
However in Summer the beaches and car parks become crowded, so consider a bike from Shoal Bay bike hire.

Ride or walk to Fingal Bay through the bush path
From Shoal Bay to Fingal Bay there is a lovely path through the bush next to the road, easy and flat to walk or ride. Popular and always someone to say hi to.

Cook in the Unit/BBQ at the beach
There are fantastic places to eat in Nelson Bay - but if you are considering saving pennies - buy your produce at Woolworths and cook up a storm!
Alternatively there are many gas BBQs along the foreshores, to set up a picnic and cook your dinner or lunch. Yum!
