They've got great food, the best bread pudding for dessert and a terrific wine menu, also a full bar offering some really fine martinis. You can just go in for drinks at the bar too- the bar menu is very nice.

We affectionately refer to the Northern as "the clubhouse". It's been a favorite haunt for years. Go in early to catch the local working crowd, later there's live music and the local youngsters come out to party. Decorated with signs from closed businesses that have graced the town over the decades. Nice local flavor.

When Glacier is so busy during the summer we go to the Jewel. It has many lakes and great hiking trails where you can also bring your dog. It's one of my favorite spots for a hot summer hike and swim with my buddyToby. There are trails where you can go and see hardly any people.

Go here to see lots of wildlife from your car even. It's a drive-through park where you may not see many people, but lots of bison, elk, bear, birds, etc.

You can take an evening boat tour of Flathead Lake on the Far West. See one of the biggest and most pristine lakes in America up close. There are also several state parks located on both sides of the lake where you can swim, boat and picinic.

It doesn't get any more scenic than this. Once you start to climb up the pass you'll wonder how in the world they ever built this road. Hanging off the side of cliffs the entire way to Lagan Pass- it's as iconic as it gets!
