Art museum and a music hall in the same building. One of the few houses in Rovaniemi which are preserved from war. Good exhibitions and nice museum shop. Free entry for exhibitions every Thursday 6pm-8pm. Opposite the Korundi at Kairatie 3 is Napa Gallery - gallery of the Artists Association of Lapland. Big recommendation for these both.

Free entry for exhibitions every Thursday 6pm-8pm. Opposite the Korundi at Kairatie 3 is Napa Gallery - gallery of the Artists Association of Lapland. Big recommendation for these both.
If you are interested about architecture you must visit our library. It is designed by most Finnish architect Alvar Aalto in early 1960’s. Almost all furnitures are also his and his wife’s Aino Aalto original designs. They started famous design shop Artek. Next to library is Aalto’s designed Lappia-talo (Lappia-house) where is theatre and music academy. Other side the library is also another Aalto’s designed building: city hall.

There is wild nature just outside the city but Ounasvaara is close to city center so it's easy for everyone to visit. It's the most popular outdoor activities place in town. There is paths for walking in the forest and ski trails. Also many other sport activities like ski center, pool/spa, bowling alley, skatepark etc you will find from Ounasvaara. And of course amazing view from the top of the fell.

And of course amazing view from the top of the fell.

This is a good place to see birds in close to city center. Tower build for bird watchers.
Nice forest and "jänkä" (type of swamp). Here is duckboard trail, fireplace and little walk to the bubbling spring where you can taste (and bottle) good tasting clear spring water.

Nice view close to arctic circle and Santa's village. Fire place outside. Not long walking if you leave your car to nearest parking. In winter time need to walk from little further but still it's short walk.

Really nice hiking place. Here is many trails in the area for different type of hikers. Also for families with kids, for older people and for people with wheelchairs.

Beautiful place just next to our flat. In summertime explore nature in Lapland and go to swim to Ounas River from small beach. Winter time enjoy the snow and go to catch northern lights to river side.

Shopping
Nearest supermarket. You can find several clothes stores, sporting goods stores, post office, bookshop etc from here. Next to Revontuli another shopping mall Rinteenkulma where you find a liquor store, another super market and a florist.

Intersting exhibitions and architecture but also nice museum shop! If I would choose one place where to buy souvenirs and local goods it would be Pilke shop! Good quality, Finnish design and interesting finds.

Landmark and monument of Rovaniemi. You can walk in the river side a round from one bridge to the another. That's what the local people like to do walk "two bridge's round". The other bridge is called old bridge and if you are lucky you can see train going top of the bridge. City center side many benches and a park and the other side of the river is popular beach and Valdemari restaurant, which is legendary dancing place in Rovaniemi. Summertime they have a nice terrace. Winter time cross country skiing trail goes in city center side.

Place to go with kids! Lots to see and to do. Nice and real christmas atmosphere even if there is lots of people and other tourists. What I wait for most when I go to Santapark is the theatre play with dancing or circus. Show time is 2-3 times of a day. Every year they have a new magical show. Restaurant could be better besides this Santapark is worth to visit with kids.
