We love Columbia Kates Teahouse! Its got great food too and an interesting setting in Columbia State Park. It is a real teahouse experience and a popular place for people to eat and "catch up". Good service too

They have several Day-O Expressos around the county now. One of them is within a mile of our house. Great smoothies there as well as coffee.

Well Its not considered one of the top natural wonders of the world for nothing! We live within 45 minutes of the gate, buy an annual pass every year and go there all the time. Every season is different there. We know and have personally hiked all of the trails in the park. We never grow tired of going there. It is always wonderful to visit! We can tell you all the cool stuff to do there!

Well Its not considered one of the top natural wonders of the world for nothing! We live within 45 minutes of the gate, buy an annual pass every year and go there all the time. Every season is different there. We know and have personally hiked all of the trails in the park. We never grow tired of going there. It is always wonderful to visit! We can tell you all the cool stuff to do there!

We frequently hike at Pinecrest lake and the surrounding area. Its only 25 min minutes from our house, has trails, boating, dining, groceries, out-door movie theater playing all summer long ( yes current shows, sometimes before the big chains get them even). It is a great place to spend a day chilling out at the lake!
The most amazing trees in the world! Super huge and gigantic redwood trees. To walk along the path through these giants is a spiritual experience. Yosemite has some of these also, but not as large a grove.

The Sonora Pass is around 10,000 feet and is accessible by car. Super stunning views across the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The hiking and exploring trails are endless up there with many awesome hikes. Always much cooler, even when its very hot in Sonora. We go up to get away from the heat!

The Kennedy Meadows Resort is very iconic and feels very western. Thats because it is primarily a pack station and vacation rental spot up high on the Sonora pass. Horses can be chartered for trail rides or even full on camping in the high country. There is great fishing in the river and a restaurant and store. the short hike into the iconic Kennedy Meadow with all of its aspen trees is amazing especially in the Fall when the trees change color.

Columbia has lots to entertain from horse drawn stage coach rides, to gold panning on site, to shops and food. We especially love the live theater called the Fallon House Theater where high quality shows are put on throughout the year.

If you are looking for something adventurous , THIS IS IT! they also have a dual spline that is very fun to race each other on.
