Sightseeing
If you are going to visit Snowdon make sure you book your parking space. Its a new thing as there are so many visitors now. Its really worth the visit or just to drive around these mountains. Spectacular scenery in every direction. Best thing to do is take a picnic.... theres lots of places to stop and eat at the side of the road or by a lake. If you want to go to top of Snowdon maybe take the train. Booking the train in advance is essential.

If you are a strong walker you could walk all the way to this lake from our front door. If your not then you can go part way in your car. If you enjoy the mountains then do this walk. Take a picnic too. Suitable for all ages... although you just might end up carrying the smaller children on your shoulders lol

Lake Crafnant is just 20 minutes drive away. Once you have parked you can take a gentle walk (about 90 minutes), around the lake and in summer finish the day in the lakeside cafe. The tea and cakes are delicious! If you fancy a boat ride or some fishing you can hire a row boat out if you like. Suitable for all ages.
Bodnant Garden’s is a 10 minute drive from our door. 80 acres of gardens, woodlands and meadows... with paths that you can walk for a day to enjoy the scenery. The garden is spectacular. When you’ve finished your walk there’s a great cafe there too.

Just 15 minutes drive from the house is the Victorian town of Llandudno and the Pier, which is one of the longest in the country. Take the children as theres lots there to keep the amused. Once you have walked the Pier explore the town.

One of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch. It may be a garden centre but it’s where the locals go for breakfast and lunch. Really friendly people and importantly... great good value food. You can take the children too.

Conwy castle is one of the best I have ever visited. Lots of stairs to climb up to the towers, with great views of the town.... and rooms to explore with exibits that tell the castle story. The kids will love it and so will the adults. You may well spend a few hours in here. Make sure you also walk the town wall.
