Swimming, Hiking
There are secluded swimming holes, mountain vistas, lakes, and access to the many creeks in the area. We can assist you once you have booked. It is best to checkout a hiking guidebook (alltrails.com) for the best destinations. Parking is limited, so get to the trails early if you want a parking spot on weekends. Be careful, many trails are challenging, and people have been severely hurt in the area. The trails listed below are pretty safe.
Beautiful alpine lakes with 2 sand beaches, boat rental and access to hiking. Take the short quarter mile hike to the site of the Catskill Mountain House for incredible vistas.

Parking on 23a is closed so go to the Laurel House Trail off of North Lake Road for a very easy quarter mile hike to the upper viewing platform and a 1/2 mile moderate hike down to the lower falls. Arrive before 9:30 on weekends for a parking spot. If the Laurel House parking is full, there are trails from the parking lot at Scudder Road right before the entrance to North South lake. This adds another 1/2 mile to the hike.

Arrive before 9:30 on weekends for a parking spot. If the Laurel House parking is full, there are trails from the parking lot at Scudder Road right before the entrance to North South lake. This adds another 1/2 mile to the hike.

There are many large boulders to lay in the sun and access to the brook in several places (Its usually pretty cold though). You can continue all the way up the the Hunter mountain summit if you have it in you. There are 2 parking lots, a larger one about .3 miles from the trailhead and a smaller (maybe 10 cars) right at the trailhead.

Take 16 to parking on the side of the road next to Platte Clove Preserve. There is a chain across the trailhead, continue straight on the trail past the small house for a quarter mile hike down to the falls.
