Athens has some great restaurants. We've recommend a few of our favorites.
We eat at Tlalloc once or twice a week. You cant go wrong with a steak taco, bean and cheese pupusa and a large margarita pitcher. They have lovely handmade chips, pupusas and tortillas. Vegetarians - unbelievable stuffed zucchini.

Local tavern with everything you need - beer. cocktails ~ meat eaters and vegetarians. We love the french dip and the house salad. Great local hangout.

Best live music venue in Athens, GA. Good music, good crowd, and friendly bar tenders. We love the 40Watt. Hands down the best rock club in the U.S.
