The Monks Walk (circa 1260) is located on one of Beverley’s oldest roads, Highgate which leads down to Beverley Minster (700AD). It’s not only a great place for Belgian beers and excellent ales, but its Tudor and historic architecture is a must visit you will love. They also offer lunch and delicious Sunday roast.

The starters and amazing sharing plates - drunken mushrooms, halloumi fries, chicken bites and more. We love the vegan burger and the steak (husband is vegetarian but I love meat). Located in the Saturday Market this place is a *must* if you are visiting Beverley with friends, family and with your partner for an informal treat. The beer selection is the best.

Features plenty of listed Georgian houses and leads to the magnificent Beverley Minster if you’re walking from Wednesday market. There are many friendly visitors walking around during the weekend and of course every Saturday Market because is one of the preferred routes to the Minster. It’s also a calm road so you can enjoy walking around and taking pictures peacefully.

If you’re a Japanese food lover you must visit Ogino Japanese Restaurant located in Beverley historic centre. It is at walking distance from Highgate, just turn to the right hand after M&S on Butcher Row. They offer a variety of sushi trays and starters plus you can pre-order a succulent wagyu beef. We also loved the sake tasting and the friendly staff!

Excellent Chinese restaurant in Beverley. Best noodles and stir fry. If you like pork, I will recommend the crispy pork as a starter. Also, squid and prawns are just amazing. You can have an entire lobster too. This is the best Chinese restaurant in town, a friendly environment and great prices. Plus, it is located in an historic area of the town.

Walking around is the best way to explore Beverley
If you are traveling by car, we recommend to use one of the paid car parks of the town and explore Beverley by walking around as it’s one of the best way to enjoy this wonderful historic market town. If you are visiting by train, is perfect too as the train station is located just in the centre of the town and will take you only 3 minutes walking distance to Highgate.
