This is the spot for a sit down Breaky or lunch. The food is amazing here. As is the coffee. This spot is popular and can get quite busy so get in early!. Great sit down menu and Cabinet food for take away. Also has good Gluten free options. One of NP best !

Fish n Chips while in New Plymouth. The good and the bad everywhere you go. I owned a fish n chip shop and are quite the critic. I would recommend this one for good kiwi picnic at the beach. Ask for fresh fish and I’m sure you will enjoy ! Burgers not my dish here but they do great fish n chips !

There are hundreds of walks that suite all levels of skill and fitness. If you visit the mountain centre at base of the mountain they will advise on the best tracks and advise on weather conditions.

Located 45 minutes drive from the cottage. This is pretty awesome and worth a visit. If your a Gardner you need to tick this box. They have a nice Cafe and guided tours available but you should call to check availability for tours and to ensure your spot at the Cafe is available

You will find a 4 square supermarket and our favorite fish and chip shop which is also one of the closest if you are craving fresh fish and chips during your stay. You will also find an 18 hole golf coarse in the domain along with a kid safe river and beach out front from the camp site. the beach isnt very child safe so the river is the usual spots for the young ones to play and swim .

Your own vehicle is the best way to get around New Plymouth
Your are close to town and getting around is fairly quick and easy. Everything is pretty much 5 minutes away by car. If you don’t have your car or are heading out for few drinks. Grab a Taxi or Uber for around $10 each way. Buses are available at the end of the street.
