If you've never tried Turkish coffee (very rich, grounds-in coffee) then have a sit at Breakfast Champion. Their food portions can be on the small side, but the Turkish coffee is an experience.

Chautaqua Dining Hall flies under the radar, but is my favorite place to grab a bite after a hike in the flatirons. Sit on the patio overlooking the park for a relaxing time. Amazing brussel sprouts!

Woods Quarry is a good choice for a short hike with views above the city. Royal Arch is another, more strenuous option. Beware parking restrictions on weekends, free parking is available if you park a few blocks south, in the neighborhood. Shuttle bus is another option, check online for pickup locations and times.
