This place is amazing - more beautiful roses (assuming you are here late April 'ish - October) in one place than you've likely seen. Also beautiful views of Mt. Hood and the City.

Forest Park is just over 5,000 acres of forested open space, making it the largest forested urban park in the U.S. A number of trails are in place for hiking and running.

One of the best places to hike year-round. You can do just the lower part with all ages and abilities happy to be there and a more rigorus hike can be added or done instead on the upper trail. It's only about an hour from our place so a day trip is definately doable
