Leisure

Covering 350 acres, Hyde Park is London's largest open space and has been a destination for sightseers since 1635. One of the park's highlights is the Serpentine, an 18th-century man-made lake popular for boating and swimming. Hyde Park is also where you'll find Speakers' Corner, a traditional forum for free speech (and heckling). Another Hyde Park landmark is Apsley House, former home of the first Duke of Wellington and purchased after his famous victory at Waterloo. Now a museum, it houses Wellington's magnificent collections of paintings, including Velázquez's The Waterseller of Seville, along with gifts presented by grateful European kings and emperors. England's greatest hero is also commemorated at the Wellington Arch.

Sightseeing

One of my favourite museums in London because of the garden, the William Morris designed tea room (by the café) and the interesting range of exhibits which are mostly free. If you are interested in art, design, fashion, architecture and photography as well as ceramics this is a must place to visit.

Food scene

Brick Lane Market is a multi-street marketplace centred on Brick Lane and Cheshire Street spanning Spitalfields in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in East London and is within the East End. It is located at the northern end of Brick Lane and along Cheshire Street and is continued by the Truman Markets in the Old Truman Brewery to the south, in the heart of east London's community. It operates every Sunday from around 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The market sells a diverse range of items, from antique books to eight-track cartridge decks, and for many years it hosted a stall selling nothing but rusty cog wheels. The market has always been popular with and much photographed by art students, and bargain hunters from across London value it greatly.

Night Life

A beautiful space on the top floors of the skyscraper at 20 Fenchurch Street, with tropical-looking gardens that are free to visit—but you must book ahead. It has the biggest amount of plants and the walls are all glass with a 360-degree view of the city. It’s a really special and inspiring place to explore and look out over east London and beyond. There are two restaurants and two bars up there. Fenchurch Restaurant, housed in a glass box within the glassed building, is great and really accommodating for veggies and vegans, with a special vegetarian menu, great wines, and great service. I’ve never heard music there though a live show would be great.
