Our new favorite sushi spot. It's tiny and seating can be difficult, but it's the only place in town to get pho and vermicelli bowls! The Southwest roll and ceviche are amazing.

This is arguably the nicest restaurant in Durango. Best kept for special occasions as it's pretty pricey. However, the menu is unique and delicious, and the rooftop experience is memorable.

We eat sushi everywhere we travel and we still maintain that Durango has some of the very best. Pop Sushi has an amazing happy hour. We highly recommend the "Hamachi Cure!"

Check out the museum-it's free! The train runs specials during summer months- there's currently a "kids ride free" promotion. See website for more info. Shorter themed rides are also available, but the full tour is an all-day affair...so worth it! You won't believe the views.

Box Canyon is a wonderful place to visit, with a walk down to the base of its dramatic waterfall, as well as to the top, onto a suspension bridge overlooking the canyon. http://www.ouraycolorado.com/things-to-do/box-canon-falls. The drive from Durango to Silverton is one of the most amazing experiences you will ever have. It is called the "million dollar highway" for a reason.
