Things to do in and from Jersey City

Here is a link (https://www.wheretraveler.com/new-jersey/advice/10-best-things-do-jersey-city) to check out the things to do in Jersey City. New York City is around the corner and if you need some help deciding what to do, here is a link that will review some of the “must” destinations in the city. The only thing we would like to add is this: if you want to visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, you should consider planning a trip that leaves from Jersey City and arrives in New York City. The Statue of Liberty Cruise sale website -- the official and least expensive site -- (https://www.statuecruises.com/faq/general) provides useful information on how to plan your visit. If you have time to spend in and/or near Jersey City you should check out Liberty State Park, which offers sweeping views of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, and New York harbor. You can go there via the Light Rail. You can also take the Light Rail (or bus #85) to go to Hoboken, which has a pleasant promenade on the Hudson river with lovely views of the city and lots of shops and restaurants.
In our neighborhood, if you have children, you can certainly check out Pershing Field ice-skating rink and swimming pool (the pool is an indoor facility).

From the park, you can see the back of the Statue of Liberty. It is a great place to take the ferry to the Statue because it’s less busy than the New York side. Parking for the ferry cost 7 dollars a day, but parking for the park. The park offers stunning views of New York’s skyline and New York harbor!
