A List of Takeaway Options in Toyota

Due to local restrictions, food can be only provided if you join our cooking class (2,000 yen per person) with an option to add a home baking session to make gluten-free rice bread (500 yen per person), which you can eat in the morning. Below is a list of takeaway options near Toyota Station, where you can take a direct bus to our house. 1. Matsuzakaya Toyota (松坂屋豊田市店): Open daily until 7pm. At Basement 1, you can buy takeaways at food stalls and a small grocery. I highly recommend ほがらか (Hogaraka) & アール・エフ・ワン (RF1) if you are vegetarian. Hogaraka is a local chain which mostly uses local vegetables and poultry. If you arrange a few days in advance, you can call to order a vegetarian bento takeaway which you can pick up from Matsuzakaya Toyota. Another option is RF1, a nationwide chain mainly selling many types of salads. 2. Riso (リソ): Open until 6pm. Closed on Sundays and Mondays. Local bakery which mainly uses Japanese produces (wheat flour and beet sugar from Hokkaido and milk from Hida). Little dine-in space. Good option to take away some breads for breakfast. Only 5 mins walk from Toyota Station.
"Depa Chika" is a Japanese acronym which means "Basement of Department Store", where Japanese gourmet consumers enjoy trying special produces of vegetables, fish, and meats at a reasonable price (more expensive than supermarket prices but less expensive than restaurant prices). Matsuzakaya Toyota (松坂屋豊田店) is conveniently located near Toyota Station (and Toyota Bus Terminal) where you can take a bus to our house. Before you head to our house, you can do a small grocery shopping for your dinner or breakfast. Below are some vegetarian takeaway options: Hogaraka (ほがらか) is a local deli chain (mainly using local ingredients from Toyota) which is catered to health-conscious eaters. If you arrange beforehand, they can prepare a Japanese bento meal (based on your preference). Please be sure to pick it up by 7pm at Matsuzakaya Toyota. Call 0565-36-5733 to arrange your bento. If you can't speak Japanese, I can help coordinate this (but please be sure to pick it up by 7pm). RF1 (アール・エフ・ワン) is a nationwide chain selling salads. You can also find other types of food in a small grocery at Matsuzakaya Toyota.
