Continuing the tradition is Hard Rock Cafe Malacca, and by the looks of it, this 9,000sqft double-storey building is on its way of turning into one of the hottest spots to hit in this once-sleepy UNESCO World Heritage City.
Situated idyllically by the Malacca River, the cafe often sees a line of eager diners and music enthusiasts queuing by the entrance, so we advise you to arrive before 21:00 to if you’re planning to catch the live band while enjoying your dinner.

Built in 1511, A’Famosa used to sprawl across a whole hillside but now only a lone gate (Porta de Santiago) remains. Originally constructed by Alfonso de Albuquerque (who led the Portuguese invasion on the Malacca Sultanate), the remains of the fort is now a preserved whitewashed gatehouse and is located downhill from St. Paul’s Church
