Hiking, I don't know, but walking or bike riding YES! The Polly Ann Trail was at one time part of an old railroad system and has been paved in some areas, some not, for the use of walking, jogging & bike riding. There are no motor vehicles allowed, not even a moped! The sights, sounds and smells along the trail create a great meditative experience - if you are into that sort of thing!
