Sightseeing
This is one of my favourite places in Toronto. On the weekdays it can be a little sleepy — especially before lunch. But it's one of the best places to people watch in the city on the weekend. Read up on the history, but you're going to find a lot of vintage clothing shops, and food from tons of different ethnic groups in here, which is one of the best things about Toronto. It also has a big activist history, and there's a big sense of community among its denizens.

Parks & Nature
It's total hipster hotspot now, and gets so packed when the weather is nice that it's not quite as relaxing as a park should be. But it is a nice park, and the whole people scene is pretty interesting to check out.

Shopping
Screenprinting studio that has a lot of cards, posters, pins and such designed and made by local artists (including their own goods). You'll be able to find some cool Toronto-themed stuff that won't be all touristy looking. My go-to store when I need to buy a card.

Queen St West is right at the bottom of my street and it's been a cool shopping street for over 30 years. Gentrification has driven the indie stuff further west but it's still a great stroll any time of the year.
