While downtown, don't miss a lunch at VUA, an asian baguettes sandwich store. It costs 4$ to get a 10" sandwich and it is TOTALLY addictive! They also sell fresh sushi and a lot of other asian stuff.

If you want a Retro breakfast experience, go to Nouveau Système. They have a pretty complete breakfast for 6$ and you get everything in a conventional american breakfast.

I love the ambiance of that Café, its wooden tables and the light ambiance. You can eat a lot of very creative plates for about 15$.

It's a convenience store... that holds a restaurant in the summer! Tables are displayed outside in the sun, in a very calm street of the Mile-End. You order your breakfast inside before you sit.

BEST PLACE EVER to get vegetables and fruits. It's so inexpensive that you could die! You can also get a café or another drink or food in restaurants around. There's a SAQ to get alcohol.
