This is my favorite brunch in San Diego. Only catch is they don't take reservations, so often times on the weekends the line can be an hour or more. However, if you go early or on weekdays you should be fine. They are open 7am-3pm.

Famous historic hotel on the island of Coronado across the Coronado bridge from downtown San Diego. The bridge a sight in itself, and the island is a fun upper class area to explore. The beach in Coronado is pristine white sand and the famous hotel overlooks this beach.

There are plenty of options, but Balboa Park is huge, famous, and great. Not to mention the Zoo!

Torrey Pines is amazing. Here you have a park, a beach, and of course the famous golf course perched on seaside cliffs overlooking the beach. Good option for hiking.

This is your closest path to the Pacific Ocean. You can walk 15-20 minutes along Mission Bay to reach the Pacific Beach boardwalk, which runs several miles through Pacific Beach and Mission Beach.

Ocean Beach is not far away but you'll need to drive probably. It has a bit more of a hippie feel, but the beach is beautiful. There is a dog beach here, which if you like dogs is an awesome experience in itself.

Garnet Ave is the main drag in Pacific Beach, and is where you will find all the closest night/weekend activity. It has a slew of bar/restaurants and shopping options as well.
