Fresh and reasonably priced. Outdoor dining and very close by. One of the best happy hour spots in DuPont/Adams Morgan! Their flatbreads are simply amazing. Half off bottles of wine for happy hour are unbeatable. Great outdoor patio area with a very prompt wait staff.

Great Korean food. If you're here for happy hour, get their dumplings aka mandu. You can get 6 pieces of dumplings for $4 during their happy hour. $4!! That's a good deal especially if you like having something to eat while drinking or if you like dumplings in general. My favorite is their beef & pork fried dumplings. Their soy sauce is not too salty and the sesame seeds adds a nice touch. Again, 6 dumplings for $4. Need I say more?

Offers delicious Tex-Mex, Spanish and Latin American dishes. This is the best place for seafood enchiladas! Can you say yummy and full of either crab scallops and/or shrimp. They give you generous side portions as well. If you like chips and salsa then bam! This is for you!!!! Not many places can get the five star Chevy's chip award but omg they get it. Light crisp and fresh. The salsa is to die for as well. To put it in perspective, if I was broke with only enough money for a drink I would go there and eat chips and salsa until I was full.

Hidden gem! Great coffee. It is THE definition of a local, neighborhood coffee shop. A bit pricey, yes (although which DC cafe isn't?), but the ingredients are legitimately high-quality, and you can tell the baristas really care about their work and customers. There's something for everyone, whether you're a non-coffee-drinker looking for tea or hot chocolate (the black coconut tea is out of this world), or a caffeine snob who knows everything there is to know about coffee culture. Their pour overs are excellent, as are their cortados. Additionally, they make excellent pastries.

It's a fantastic classic French restaurant. First off, the bread and butter...ridiculously good. And the butter...so good. Wine was fantastic. Foie grad comes in a beautiful mousse with a cherry compote and black salt, and 2 pieces of perfectly toasted brioche. There is so much mousse, you needt extra toast to finish the dish. Steak. Frites. It will be one of the best you've ever had. Small but packed with juice, flavor and tenderness. So buttery and delish. The fries are some of the best I've had - perfectly seasoned and crisp.

Jolt 'N Bolt is an awesome neighborhood spot. I would absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for a quick breakfast/snack on or if you are looking for a place to get some work done for a few hours. It's a small place with a few tables inside as well as outdoor seating. There is free wifi. The menu is surprisingly large--juices, smoothies, lemonades, coffee, bagels, sandwiches, eggs. The smoothies tare fantastic and never disappoint.

Bistrot du Coin, will not disappoint. It's a popular French brasserie known for buckets of delicious mussels and steak frites. With a festive bistro atmosphere, you'll feel transported to France but for the overly-loud American voices all around you. A pot of steamed mussels makes the perfect appetizer, and the large portion comes with a bowl of perfectly-crisp frites. Salmon arrived on a bed of creamy pasta cut into small squares with crisp vegetables and a rich, buttery sauce. The beef tenderloin was beyond superb and was happily complemented by a scrumptious sauce bernaise.

Upscale steak house with a rich ambiance. Excellent Happy Hour most days from 4-7 pm. The best "local happy hour". I would not have expected Ruth's Chris Steak House to fit the bill as a neighborhood bar. I was wrong! The bar here is separated enough from the dining room and has a very homey feel. Bartenders are super friendly and efficient. We love the vibe here, service is great and the happy hour specials allow you to enjoy the deliciousness of Ruth's Chris without breaking your budget.

Excellent tea house serving eclectic nibbles and fine teas. Teaism is an order at the counter, bring your food to your own table kind of place. They have some bar seats downstairs and tables upstairs. Their tea menu is bigger than their food menu (they don't serve coffee FYI), so obviously the emphasis is on that! The vibe is a Japanese teashop and the menu has all sorts of goods, from bento boxes, sandwiches, egg scrambles and okonomayaki!

Fine local coffee bar and amazing pastries and other yummy delights. This local bakery is staple of Dupont Circle. It shows that in a commercialized world of power house coffee houses, independent shops can still survive. I'd rather go here anyway. The variety of baked good and coffee. Friendly neighborhood service. The adjacent restaurant is a popular brunch place. You'll see people milling around waiting. While it doesn't have a lot of seating, on a nice day there is plenty in the park right up the street. By the way, the macaroons are fabulous.

Great coffee, adorable venue. Yummy pastries. Outdoor patio. The thing that really sets this place apart from other place though is the snack selection. They have breads, quiches, scones, cookies, the works! And it is ALL delicious! The vegan apple zucchini bread is amazing and probably my favorite thing there. I've also had the ginger scone which was unique and delicious. I both love the bacon and cheddar quiche as well. And, they have wifi!

I literally cannot say how excellent this joint is! Hanks will not disappoint! Start off with an oyster shooter. Try the the seafood plateau, lobster deviled eggs (to DIE for), lobster bisque (so decadent with huge chunks of lobster), sea scallops, and a lobster roll. It is ALL wonderful! Service is excellent. If there was ever an institution Annie's would be one of them. The mainstay of Dupont Circle and late night eating, early eating and just eating. The interior hasn't changed since I moved here. There is an old feel to this place and I just don't mean the clientele. There can be a wait on a good night. The service is quick friendly. The host is part of the neighborhood. She's always there when we go. The food here is the steak. Anything else is sort of a hit or miss to me. The house salad for one can feed 2 people. The selection of steaks are all good. All orders comes out usually as requested. You'll leave satisfied.

Solid pizzeria with a huge selection of beers on tap. As for the pizza, the margherita is quite satisfying, with the smaller version being easily shareable between two friends. There is something to be said about being able to immerse yourself in the neighborhood that you are visiting. One of the fast and funnest ways is being able to connect with local vendors and meet new people at a farmers market, and Dupont's farmers market won't disappoint. This has been my favorite brunch in DC for the past two years. Bar Charley offers bottomless mimosas (or bloodies, or Narragansetts) and a full-sized entree for ~$25 (might be $24). There are vegetarian-friendly entrees, gluten-free options, and the portions are not small. The "bottomless" part of the deal is not skimpy either--the waitstaff are all attentive without being overbearing, meaning you'll never see the bottom of your mimosa glass during your two hours...if they cut you off after two hours, which doesn't even happen all the time--BC is quite generous with their brunch seatings on slower afternoons. It's definitely worth a visit or two (or three)!

Great local bar. Rebellion has a really masculine, cool vibe to it, with several huge bay windows allowing natural light to flood in. Otherwise it's a dark and moody bar with some spunky character. There are a few TVs on walls that were playing football - but it wasn't enough to make it feel like a sports bar. There's not a ton of seating, but there's enough space to stand and stretch out a bit. The best part of this bar in my opinion is the rooftop bar area.

Of all the jazz clubs in DC, Blues Alley books the best talent, so if you're serious about music, this is your place. It's a small, intimate place with good acoustics. It's small enough that all the seats are good and close to the stage. You get that old 1920s golden era jazz feel. The tables are tiny and cute. I think they are for drinking alone but somehow they manage to fit 2 dinner plates on the table as well. As for the food, it's decent but nothing special. Perfectly acceptable, but not the reason you'd come here. In addition to convenience, though, there is one advantage to eating here: it allows you to arrive when the doors open (generally 6:00 pm) and nab one of best seats.

Use the Metro or rideshare to cover the extreme distances, but if you are traversing medium to short distance especially throughout the National Mall, I highly recommend using Capital Bikeshare! Very important!! If you have at least a day pass, you can use the bike as many times as you want without extra charge as long as you ride for less than 30 minutes at a time. Just make sure that you dock your bike properly (wait for the light to turn green) after you're done or else you'll be charged extra after each 30 minutes interval!

One of the most impressive collection of art I have ever seen. The quality of the collection is far beyond the NY Met, Guggenheim, Frick, and JP Morgan Library combined. While the quantity of the collection may not be as vast, the notoriety of the individual pieces far surpass those at the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay put together. The West Building houses mostly classical art, photography, and sculptures while the newer East building houses mainly modern art and there is also a sculpture garden on the west side. It is practically impossible to see everything in a single day.

Don't leave D.C. without visiting this Museum AND THE GARDEN! GO TO THE GARDEN!! you'll find it across the street behind the museum, or you can enter the garden from the National Mall. Walk around the main museum. So many amazing sculptures to see. Inside you'll find many beautiful interactive art projects. I always enjoy the new projects, they are always innovative and inspiring.

The Kennedy Center is impressive and is a must visit if you have not been before. The building itself and its architecture is magnificent. You're able to enter the Kennedy Center without a ticket to a show so even if you're just walking through the main halls, do it! The back patio has a great view of the Potomac River and had a fountain back there. It's a very peaceful place to be at night.

Definitely worth being an AMC Stubs Premiere member so that you can reserve your seats ahead of time and online fees are waived. I sat in theater #14 which even from the back row was a great view of the movie. I love the reclining chairs and the theaters were very clean.

This is the official residence and work place of every American president since John Adams. President Theodore Roosevelt officially gave the White House its name in 1901. The White House kitchen is able to serve dinner to as many as 140 guests. The White House was once destroyed by fire by British Troops. This historical monument and residence to the leader of the free world was built by the hands of slaves.

Touch a piece of the moon, see Neil Armstrong's space suit, see the Wright Flyer. Excellent content following air travel from the beginning to space with gads of information. I suggest planning a full day for this museum and to be prepared to be overwhelmed with hoards of excited, unsupervised middle school kids after lunch time - that's why you go early! Great Imax theater. A must see

One of many treasures along the National Mall that would be a huge draw on its own if it were the only major museum in any other city, the Natural History Museum has lots of informative collections relating to human origins, animal origins, plant life, and minerals.

The tour starts with a short film about the history of the government. Afterwards, a tour guide took our group to the Crypt, the Rotunda, and the National Statuary Hall. The tour guides are knowledgeable and you can learn a lot from them. If you want to sit in the House or Senate galleries, you need to contact your Congressman or Senator for tickets. After you receive your tickets, you are able to sit in the gallery while Senators were giving speeches. If you're planning on visiting DC, I recommend taking a tour of the US Capitol Building. Regardless of your politics, it is a great experience to learn about the history of this building and witness democracy in action.

This museum is a must for everyone. It's currently the most sought after for ticket. That being sad there is a 4 month waiting. There are 6 levels to the museum and the 1st exhibit starts on the basement level 3 floors down in titled "Slavery to Freedom from 1440 to 1889". This museum packs no blinders and lays the truth and all of its ugliness at your fingertips. Try to secure the free timed entry tickets for early in the day. You will spend hours exploring this fabulous museum. It takes at least 6-7 hours to see everything... and there isn't one thing I recommend leaving out.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is one of the most personal and touching memorials on the National Mall because so many veterans are still alive. Many make the trek to DC to see the war heroes they knew etched into the wall. They take paper and make sketches of their names and leave flowers and gifts along the memorial.

Wow, the Washington Monument is truly beautiful and it is definitely not something you can miss seeing while in D.C. as you will literally drive past it many times while going to different museums or government buildings. If you plan on visiting D.C. make sure you visit the Washington Monument at least once during the day and once at night, as the mood is completely different.

Everyone knows about the Lincoln Memorial but nobody ever gives Mr. Jefferson credit. As I do think the Lincoln Memorial is an awesome site I like this Memorial much better. I came here at night and was really nice to check out. It is not as packed so you can not be bothered with the hundreds of other tourists. It's secluded, it's almost as if you are on your own small island. There is something relaxing about it at night and you can look out to the national mall landscape. My favorite memorial. Come see this at night, it will be a difference.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. What else is there to say?

Another great place to visit in D.C. I think you can get in for free on Sunday. There a so many great rooms and pieces to see in the Cathedral, and it felt extremely peaceful inside. The surrounding around is also really nice so you can stroll around after your done at the Cathedral. The pictures do NOT do any justice AT ALL!!! I mean, this place is indescribably beautiful!!! You must see it for yourself. Go for the guided tour and you'll be glad you did.

If art and architecture is your thing then you definitely want to add this to your list of "to-see's" while in DC. Even if you're not Catholic or religious period, you can't help but be awestruck by the different works here. Whether it's color, detail, or sheer size you'll find your jaw dropping.

This church is so beautiful. The outside does not do the building justice. This cathedral is worth a visit. The paintings and artwork are gorgeous. There are so many little rooms and pictures that you need about 20 minutes to walk all around the sanctuary. The church staff are quite nice. Anyone is happy to answer questions. Even if you don't attend a mass, it is worth peeking inside. You don't have to be Catholic to appreciate this sacred space.

A very cool spot! I like this museum. They have some very fun displays. The last time I was here they were doing the James Bond display that was very cool with some of the cars and such. They also have really interesting true spy stuff. If you want to look at everything and read about spying through the ages you can spend some time in here. Not a free D.C. museum but worth it to see.

Epic. Bottom line. There isn't any other word to describe it. I mean, you're on the same grounds the very first president of the US walked and lived on. How can you beat that? Everything is wonderfully kept. There is so much history and land to cover so make sure you bring your walking shoes! The museum is truly remarkable. You can spend hours in it. GW was a remarkable man. We owe a lot to his leadership
