The Southern Porch is about a 6-minute walk (yep walk) from the Airbnb. The food is very southern and the vibe is very chill and relaxed. The location is beautiful, this place dates back to 1876 and you will see the old-time touches inside and outside of the building. There is a bar with a very "Cheers" vibe, indoor and outdoor seating and they have a great selection of local craft beers! The patio is pet-friendly and extremely pretty.

They also have an excellent Italian market beside the restaurant that has a great selection of wine, as well as goodies to make Italian food right there at your Airbnb. If you have your pup with you, they offer a cute patio for seating (this is weather permitting.)

One of our favorite vegan spots in WNC (and it isn't far, it is just in Asheville) is Plant. Everything is amazing and so very creative. We love this spot for a romantic dinner. A nice plus is they have a parking lot, so you do not have to search for parking. I would advice calling far ahead for reservations.
