As well as being a major tourist destination, MOA is a research and teaching museum, where UBC courses in art, anthropology, archaeology, conservation, and museum studies are given. MOA houses 38,000 ethnographic objects, as well as 535,000 archaeological objects in its building alone.

Science World at Telus World of Science, is a science centre run by a not-for-profit organization in Vancouver. It is located at the end of False Creek, and features many permanent interactive exhibits and displays, as well as areas with varying topics throughout the years. Featuring hundreds of interactive exhibits in five galleries, Science World also includes overview of exhibitions, children's camps, parties and programs, memberships, and special events.

Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses the Capilano river in the 1,300 year old Douglas Fir rainforest. There is a Treetops Adventure: 7 suspended footbridges offering views 110 feet above the forest floor. The new Cliffwalk follows a granite precipice along Capilano River. Coffee shop, souvenir store and sometimes musicians.

You can't miss a walk, cycle or jog along the world's longest uninterrupted waterfront path from Coal Harbour all the way to Spanish Banks. While the 28 km may be a little daunting (!), do as much or as little as you like. Start at the foot of Manitoba then walk in either direction. Hop an Aquabus to get back when you're feet have given up. Note: Be careful to be in the correct section; there are two clearly marked - one for walkers and runners the other for cyclists and rollerbladers.

You can walk from Gastown to the Vancouver Convention Centre where the views are stunning and there are 3 large restaurants and a hotel to eat at (Mahony's, Tap and Barrel, Cactus Club, The Pacific Rim Hotel)
