Food scene
Eau Claire Market is an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants within walking distance. There are good pubs and my all time favourite breakfast restaurant 1886 Buffalo Cafe is in a white stand alone building there. Joey’s is also a good choice for eating.
Some of the shops will be closed due to Covid but should still be worth a look!

Sightseeing
Behind the condo a couple blocks toward the river or across from Way Claire Market, you can access the pathways beside and I to Prince’s Island Park. When the weather is right, it’s a popular place for a stroll, jog, rollerblading and there are summer concerts in the park, people picnicking etc. River Café in the park is a nice dining experience.

In the direction away from GM downtown behind the condo a couple blocks you will access one of the path systems that makes Calgary so special! It is a popular location for locals and tourists alike to take a stroll near and across the Peace Bridge. There are sometimes Buskers and if the light is right, the view of the river can be stunning. I prefer it from the other side of the bridge with the Calgary skyline in the background. Bring your camera! :)

Wonderful indoor gardens on top floor of indoor shopping mall. Wonderful to walk around and sit at a bench and eat a meal you can pick up at the nearby food court

An original sightseeing destination in Calgary! Ride up to the too for a view in all directions of the city and skyscrapers and stand on a transparent glass floor- if you can!☺️
