You can find fossils in the cliff here and sea glass and amber on the beach but please take care and follow the rules about approaching dangerous and unstable cliff bases. You are close by Sparrows Nest park which hasn’t changed much since the 1960s and the maritime museum too

There’s an unmarked footpath between numbers 9 & 10. Follow the path down the hill by the side of the meadow and turn right at the bottom through a small wood. It brings you out at the junction of St Margaret’s Road, Flixton Road and Hillside Road West. Cross straight over and head up Flixton Road to get to town or right along Hillside Road West to get to the supermarket, bus stops and GP/Chemist
