Kilmore Quay is a hidden gem. it is about a half hour drive away.it has a lovely harbour and has great walks through sand dunes. Theres plenty of food optiona around with a lot of produce sourced locally.

Johnstown castle is a lovely 12th century castle with lots of activities to be experienced. There are a few peacocks roaming the grounds and is a very magical experience.There is an entrance fee of 9 euro for an adult, 4 euro for a child (children under 5 is free).
