Start by taking in the stunning views of the old mills, set against the Water of Leith down in Dean Village.
Then walk along the Water of Leith to Stockbridge, a suburb of Edinburgh with a high street full of independent shops, cafes, bakeries and a great selection of pubs. There’s also a market every Sunday where you can pick up some lovely food and other Scottish produce.
If you want to experience an authentic Scottish pub, drop into The Bailie Bar for some drinks and good food!

Just north of Stockbridge are Inverlieth Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens. Inverleith Park has a lovely big pond where you can see the ducks, swans, possibly some ducklings/signets, as well as a large expanse of greenery and spectacular views of the city, castle, Arthur’s Seat, etc

resurgence in popularity with lots of new cafes,
pubs, restaurants opening up, some of which
taking in the views of the sea.
We recommend brunch at The Beach House
