Large, long beach. Pebbly sand. At 6 miles long, it is the area’s longest beach. It’s very popular, especially for its off-road vehicle trails. Wonderful area to watch the sunset. Water much colder on that side of Cape. Keep in mind there is a $20 a day parking fee

Sandy Neck Beach
Large, long beach. Pebbly sand. At 6 miles long, it is the area’s longest beach. It’s very popular, especially for its off-road vehicle trails. Wonderful area to watch the sunset. Water much colder on that side of Cape. Keep in mind there is a $20 a day parking fee
A close drive to a large beach. It can be crowded and is popular with teens and young adults.
Great in the evening for a sunset walk. You can walk east down Long Beach, which is always a nice treat. This beach is also not far from a favorite local ice cream shop called Four Seas, a very cute Old County Store and a big playground across the street from that store. Keep in mind there is a $20 a day parking fee collecting until 4:45pm.

Craigville Beach

Off their parking lot, you can also find the North Atlantic Cedar Swamp Trail/boardwalk, easy to medium difficulty, and well worth the effort. Parking fee and..... shark warning.

For the adventurous: It's a bit of a hike getting out here (1 -1.5hrs), you definitely want to wear proper shoes to hike the breakwater. Or take the Long Point Shuttle for $10-$15. A nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Seal sightings common. There's a lighthouse out there too. Keep an eye on the tides. No bathroom facilities. Pack water and snacks.

A boardwalk runs right to the beach making it accessible for the disabled.
There are lifeguards, showers, restrooms, and even handicap chairs available at the beach.

Grays Beach
Center StFree parking. The beach is at the opening of Garden Creek and has a long boardwalk that extends over a salt marsh partway to the beach. The boardwalk offers gorgeous views of tropical flora and fauna and marine life.
Even though the beach is not too large, there is a spacious picnic area which features a gazebo.
Across Dennis’ Chapin Beach, Grays Beach is open to the public and has lifeguards for your safety. There aren’t any showers or food stands at the beach but you can bring a packed lunch and make a picnic out of it.
There are restrooms available for public use.
The size of the beach and the low tide water makes it perfect for children to swim and splash around while adults can enjoy laying on the sand.
