The Museum boasts a 6,000 m2, two-storey exhibition centre, souvenir shop, function centre, theatre and airfield viewing platform. The Museum is open seven days a week except for New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Christmas and Boxing Days. Pre-booked guided tours are also available for bus groups at no extra cost.
The museum's verandah overlooks the historic airfield at HMAS Albatross which has variously served the RAAF, the USAAC, the Royal Navy, the RNZAF and the RAN since it was established in 1941.

Enjoy superb views of the river and the golf course. Views of the mountains can be seen from vantage points along the way. The area surrounding Bens Walk provides a habitat for a variety of birds. The complete track provides a leisurely return walk of about 5.5 kilometres taking around two hours. A short return walk from the footbridge to the Showground and Hanging Rock takes around 10 minutes. A suspension bridge has been constructed to provide a loop walk on both sides of the creek and to give access to Depot Farm Reserve and its picnic area.

Shoalhaven River Cruise conduct scheduled cruises on the Shoalhaven River between Nowra Public Wharf, Red Rock and Greenwell Point. It is a nice way to cruise the shoalhaven and see the local sights.

Access to Hyams Beach & some of the most beautiful white sand beaches of the Jervis Bay, a 20 minute drive from Nowra.
Booderee National Park is a place of outstanding natural beauty located at Jervis Bay. Booderee has three camping grounds Green Patch, Bristol Point and Cave Beach where you will see friendly kangaroos and wallabies within close proximity - you could hand feed them if you are lucky!
