Take a drive up to the peak for a fabulous view over Arrowtown, Lake Hayes, The Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. Stunning!

Drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy - touted as one on the most beautiful drives in the world, and I would agree. Stop in at Mrs Woolly's Store when you reach Glenorchy, or even stay a night at the 'glamp' ground. Make sure you get down to the lakes edge and make time for a coffee stop at one of the cafes. It's another 20mins drive to the start of the Routeburn Track so if you have time try to make it out there and do a quick 1 hr sneak peak up and back walk it will be worth it. Plan for next time to do the whole walk!

Restaurant and wine tasting. Make sure you phone to book as they seem to always be busy. I can recommend the 'Trust the Chef' with matched wines. Check out the prices as I believe they have increased since I was last there.

This is NOT to be missed. You must have a venison pie from the Arrowtown Bakery. Either eat in or take home and have with a few vegetables for the healthy option. Don't forget the tomato sauce!
