17th Century cottage in the heart of Chepstow, close to Offa's Dyke & the Wye Valley.
Small but perfectly formed, Pineapple Cottage is a characterful little cottage that dates back to 1650 (we think!). It may be old, but it has all the mod-cons thanks to a recent refurb. There's Sky TV, WiFi and a wood burning stove*, as well as a washer/dryer and dishwasher. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a shower room. There are plenty of mirrors for getting ready and the shower room has a heated floor and a heated mirror! You won’t see it in the photos (that would ruin the surprise), but to find the second bedroom you’ll have to check for secret doors. Think The Lion The Witch and the... The Garden is small but private. It is heated, lit by fairy lights and has just enough room for four around the table. *feel free to use the wood burner, but you'll need to provide your own logs!
Being in the heart of historic Chepstow, there are restaurants, bars and cafes nearby with Chepstow Castle virtually on your doorstep! If you're heading to the races then its a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi.

  • Genialny domek!

    Margaret2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Uwielbialiśmy nasz mały księżycowy pobyt w domku ananasowym! Dom jest urządzony w najwyższym standardzie we wspaniałych błękitach, szarościach i żółciach. Pokoje były świetne i były nowoczesne i musujące. Proces zameldowania był prosty i bezpieczny. Telewizor miał niebo, a dom miał świetne dodatki, w tym pełne i odpowiednie suszarki do włosów i mini żel pod prysznic, szampon i oddzielną odżywkę (bonus!). Dziękuję Joe za nasz pobyt!

    Grace2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Wybraliśmy Chepstow, ponieważ chcieliśmy zostać w wiosce. Miejsce Joe było absolutnie fantastyczne! To krótki spacer od dworca kolejowego. Lokalizacja nie mogłaby być bardziej idealna. Wszystko jest w odległości spaceru. Sam dom był wart podróży do Chepstow! Wygodne łóżko i meble.

Very friendly & quiet neighbourhood. The village of Tutshill was the childhood home for famous Author JK Rowling. She attended Tutshill Church of England Primary School before moving on at the age of eleven to the nearby Wyedean School in Sedbury. Her childhood home, Church Cottage, a mid-19th century Gothic-style Grade II listed building designed by the architect Henry Woodyer, was put up for sale in 2011. The character Severus Snape in the Harry Potter books was partly based on Sylvia Morgan, a teacher at her primary school, and on one of her teachers at Wyedean School, John Nettleship. In the book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, a passage is set in the Forest of Dean, where Harry, Hermione and Ron are camping & discover the Sword of Gryffindor where it has been hidden by Snape. Tutshill is also the home of a fictional professional Quidditch team operating within the Harry Potter universe. The Tutshill Tornados are one of thirteen fictional Quidditch teams that play in the professional Quidditch League of Britain and Ireland that was established in 1674. The team players wear sky-blue robes emblazoned with a double "T" in dark blue on the chest & back. In the early 20th century the fictional team set a British and Irish record by winning the League Cup five times in a row.

Located within the grounds of the owners’ family home, Wirewoods Green Manor, one of the most historic and prominent properties in the village of Tutshill. This spacious cottage benefits from a private patio area and access to a 1.5 acre paddock (perfect for the dogs!) with direct access to The Gloucestershire Way Footpath. A perfect location if you are looking to escape to the country and explore the beautiful Royal Forest of Dean but still be close to amenities. Walking distance to Chepstow.
The Coach House is very spacious with more than enough room for four people, a child or infant and up to 2 dogs. The cottage is full of history, originally built to house the coach and horses for Wirewoods Green Manor it still retains many original features including the stable stalls, large coach door and cobble stone entrance. There are stunning far reaching views towards the River Severn with many beautiful sunrises from the bedroom window. This warm, cosy cottage is finished and furnished to a high standard, crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, plump pillows and duvets adorn the beds, a large roll-top bath with shower and a fully equipped kitchen, espresso machine, wi-fi and wood burner make for a luxury stay. A large kitchen table and chairs provides plenty of room for family dining and entertainment. A welcome hamper along with all the essentials you may need such as a starter supply of tea, coffee, firewood and all bedding and towels are provided. The Coach House also benefits from an enclosed patio area with a table and chairs and BBQ and access into our large paddock (when there are no sheep there) which is perfect for dogs to have some lead-free time! There is direct access to The Gloucestershire Way footpath from the property. Conveniently located on the edge of the village of Tutshill, a short stroll to Toast a lovely little coffee shop, that serves delicious breakfasts, lunches and plenty of cakes. It is also open late on Friday evenings for a much needed glass of wine or a pint! The village also benefits from a well stocked village shop and a fantastic independent butcher. A slightly further walk (about 20 minutes) takes you into Chepstow for a wider range of shops, bars and restaurants. Ideal walking and cycling base for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, South East Wales and slightly further afield are Bristol, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Cardiff. Up to two dogs are very welcome. Bedroom 1 - King size bed Bedroom 2 - Twin beds Travel cot, high chair, stair gate and a range of baby and children’s toys are available. The patio area is enclosed, however we cannot guarantee that it is dog or child proof. We recommend that children and dogs are supervised at all times. There is off-road parking outside the property for ONE car only. This is our family home, there are free-range children and animals around most of the time, we respectfully ask you do not enter our garden areas and keep dogs under control at all times. We have three very friendly cats who love a bit of fuss. If you have an allergy or dislike of cats then this is probably not the place for you!
We love living in Tutshill, a pretty village on the English-Welsh borders. The local coffee shop, village stores, Butchers, park and church are all a short stroll away. The area is rich with castles (Chepstow Castle is walking distance), Raglan and Caldicot Castle are short drives away. Slightly further afield (but all within half hour drive) are Clearwell Caves, Puzzlewood, Perrygrove Railway, Symonds Yat, plenty of opportunities for canoeing on the River Wye, Tintern Abbey and RSPB Newport Wetlands and National Diving Center to name a few. There are also hundred of cycle paths, tracks and networks to explore throughout the Forest of Dean and several places where you can hire bikes. It is also a haven for walking having direct access to The Gloucestershire Way, a short distance from The Offas Dyke footpath and Welsh Costal path.

Charming spacious open-plan Studio in the heart of Monmouthshire. Perfect location for accessing the Wye Valley, Vale of Usk, Cardiff and Bristol. Lovely pub nearby. The outstanding 4-star living accommodation is open-plan with a fitted kitchen area, and a loft-style mezzanine bedroom level. Just drop us a message to get a link to our full 3D walk-through of the property.
The Studio benefits from a wooden floor and large-scale custom made and double-glazed timber framed windows and is decorated in muted Farrow & Ball greens and creams. Furnishing is in a modern country style. We have also fitted a modern and clean luxury kitchen and shower room with all new appliances, which will hopefully make your stay as comfortable as possible. The Studio is equipped with a flat screen Freeview television / DVD player (with iPod / MP3 connectivity) and a CD player / radio. There is a gas 'coal flame' stove to supplement the central heating and make for cosy nights in during winter. A tiled internal entrance porch makes a good place to shed muddy boots and to hang coats. There is also a small patio area with a beautiful view of the church and the centre of the village. There is ample space to store bikes or golf clubs, either in the entrance porch (or we can provide additional space should it be required). All bed linen, towels, gas, electricity and use of Studio washing machine are included. WiFi is free too and 20+mbps. The Studio is annexed to our family home but with its own private entrance so you can have as much privacy as you like but with the comfort that we are just next door if you need any help or recommendations. There is ample free parking on the road outside the Studio. The Studio is strictly no smoking. Cyclists? We have room for bike storage too!
The Studio is surrounded by beautiful countryside, particularly popular with walkers and cyclists. The pretty stone-built village of Shirenewton is a excellent centre for exploring the Wye and Usk valleys, the Brecon Beacons and the Forest of Dean. Although we are only 5 miles from the Severn Bridge (with fantastic access to Bristol and Cardiff) you will find that we are well and truly in the country with the advantages of a thriving village with three pubs (including a gastro pub less than 50 metres walk away and another that serves very good home-cooked food). Keen walkers will find several easy walks mapped from the house and we have equipped The Studio with maps and guides books to the surrounding area. Cyclists will find the area very rewarding, both for road cycling and mountain biking in nearby Wentwood. Golfers will find the famous St Pierre course 4 miles away and the 2010 Ryder Cup venue Celtic Manor 11 miles away. We can also arrange for tennis players to use the members’ village tennis court. Chepstow Racecourse is less than 4 miles away. If you love castles you will also love Monmouthshire! There is a lot more information on the village and the surrounding area available on the Shirenewton Village website.

Our house overlooks the River Severn and is a stone's throw from the Severn Bridge. Built in the 17th century, originally as two cottages, the space has plenty of character and is completely private with access to the garden and outdoor seating areas with stunning views across the estuary. It has recently undergone total refurbishment and has underfloor heating throughout. The area regularly attracts bird spotters, fossil hunting enthusiasts and visitors to the old car ferry site.
The spacious entrance hall leads to a bedroom with a built in wardrobe, drawers, iPod docking station, television and DVD library. Next door is a newly refurbished bathroom with dual sinks, rain shower and beautiful views. Due to the property's hot water and heating system - air source heat pump - there is the occasional low hum from the fan outside the bedroom window. There is a sitting room overlooking the garden with piano, cross trainer, sofa and microwave. Tea and coffee are also available. There's on street parking just outside the drive, it's a very quiet and safe road so you'll be fine to leave your car there. Cyclists can bring their bikes inside and leave them in the entrance hall. Yoga enthusiasts can use our terrace and garden - we have a spare mat you’re welcome to use!
Historic Aust Ferry pier Famous red and white cliffs, the most productive Triassic site in the UK and home to many fossils Plenty of cycle routes, Thornbury is a 15 minute drive away and Chepstow just 10 minutes. Cribbs Causeway also a 10 minute drive. Severn View services, with Costa and Burger King is 2 minutes from the house.

Spring Cottage enjoys a peaceful setting surrounded by indigenous forest set above the River Wye. Graded 5 Stars by Visit Wales, the cottage was completely restored a few years ago and offers modern and comfortable accommodation that retains its original charm. Featuring two bright and pretty bedrooms, an attractive bathroom, kitchen with a range of modern appliances, dining area with oak table and chairs, cosy lounge with wood burner, detached studio/conservatory and extensive garden/woodland.
As people who enjoy breaks in holiday cottages ourselves we understand the importance of a well-equipped, comfortable and clean cottage and that is exactly what we strive to provide. You can expect to arrive to a spotless cottage, with beds made using premium cotton sheets, Egyptian cotton towels laid out and all essentials (loo roll, salt, pepper, coffee, soap, dishwasher tablets etc.) provided together with a few luxuries (locally laid eggs and freshly baked bread). There is additionally free wi-fi in the cottage. The ground floor contains the sitting room which is the perfect place for relaxing after a days’ walking or enjoying a cosy night in in front of the fire. It has a natural stone floor, wooden beamed ceiling, two double sofas, a modern fully glazed woodburner, a television and DVD player. There is also a bookcase stocked with novels, magazines, DVDs and board games. The recently fitted cottage kitchen/dining room is very functional with an electric hob and cooker, extractor hood, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle. The room has an oval oak dining table and chairs and phone/mp3 player dock for playing music. The kitchen is well equipped with cookery equipment and utensils, crockery and kitchen and dining linen. Larder essentials are also provided including tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, olive oil, washing up liquid, soap and dishwasher tablets. Adjacent to the kitchen is the utility room with storage for boots and coats, a washing machine, ironing board, iron and counter-top freezer. A covered external walkway leads from the utility room to the conservatory which has a comfy 3-seater sofa and table and is the perfect place for an afternoon read or as a playroom for children. The first floor is accessed via an oak staircase off the lounge. The bedrooms and hallway have thick natural wool carpeting, hand painted furniture and solid wood windows with stunning views over the valley. There are two bedrooms in the cottage – the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom either two singles or a king (please specify your preferred arrangement when booking). Beds will be made before your arrival and the towels will be laid out. All bed and towel linen is 100% Egyptian cotton. The Bathroom has a full length bath with separate shower above, heated towel rail, WC and counter top basin. The bathroom also benefits from some of the best views of the valley from the cottage. Spring Cottage is set within an acre of its own land which includes a pretty cottage garden. A barbecue and outdoor table and chairs are provided during the warmer months. Above this garden is an apple orchard and beyond this is woodland, which is blanketed in bluebells during the spring. Parking for two vehicles is available in the driveway. Please note vehicular access to Spring Cottage is via a one and half mile long narrow single-lane road which whilst suitable for cars is not suitable for vehicles larger than a Ford Transit. Children of all ages are very welcome. We can provide a highchair and travel cot if requested but don’t provide cot linen as guests generally prefer to bring their own. We also have toys, books, board games and DVDs to keep our younger guests entertained! We are dog friendly! Up to two dogs are welcome at Spring Cottage but in the interests of other guests they are not permitted upstairs or on the furniture. A fee of £5 is payable per dog per night to cover the additional time needed to thoroughly clean the cottage for the next guests.
Spring Cottage is spoilt by the number of great options for places to eat and drink nearby including the following favourites: The Brockweir Inn, with it’s open fire, serves wholesome pub food, ale and cider and is a short one mile walk from the cottage. Tintern, two miles away, has a number of pubs. Our favourite for steak is The Rose & Crown Inn in Tintern and for a fine view of the Abbey and a hearty pub meal The Anchor Inn. A little further afield are two fine gastro-pubs both serving quality food in traditional pub surroundings: The Inn at Penalt and the Ostrich Inn in Newland are both 10 miles away. For fine dining, we would thoroughly recommend the Michelin Star restaurant The Whitebrook, which is 8 miles from Spring Cottage. Past guests of Spring Cottage have also recommended a number of restaurants in Monmouth (15 miles) including The Misbah and No 7 Church Street for Bangladeshi and modern European food respectively.

Enjoy spectacular views over the Wye Valley in our "Room with a View" at Hill Farm, Tintern. Our secluded self contained room is ideal for guests who want to take time out to reconnect with nature, and enjoy the peace and serenity of this fabulous location. Our room with a view has its own amenities including a kitchenette, toilet and shower and private entrance separate from the main house. We are within walking distance to the village of Tintern and its famous Abbey.
Wake up to the bird song and enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee overlooking the spectacular Wye Valley. With one of the best views of Tintern, Hill Farm is rural enough to be quiet with an abundance of plants and wildlife, but close enough to Tintern, The Abbey and all other attractions across the Wye Valley and The Forest of Dean. Our 15 acre house, land and woodlands are situated up a forestry track which is a little bumpy, but gives the location a sense of remoteness. The walk down to Tintern although steep, does not take long and has an abundance of historic sites (including the famous Tintern Abbey), stunning walks and cycle tracks, and a range of pubs and eateries to cater for all your needs. We have received excellent feedback from our guests and we are dog friendly. We can make up a double or two single beds, and provide all linen and towels, shampoo, conditioner, tea and coffee making facilities and a welcome pack to include a taste of local produce, breakfast cereals eggs and bread. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know and we can replace unsuitable items in your welcome pack. Upon request, we can also arrange a cooked breakfast, lunch or dinner to be delivered to your room for an additional cost, depending on availability. Hayley is also a massage therapist and yoga teacher and depending on availability, can offer massages and private yoga sessions (please request prices upon booking). You can make your own meals using our kitchenette, or take a walk or drive into Tintern, which offers a variety of pubs and restaurants. There is a small shower and separate toilet room, and we also provide a table and chairs, TV, and kitchenware. Please note there is not an oven and the kitchenette offers 2 electric hobs, a microwave and a fridge. Outside is a small private patio area for you to sit and admire the views, and we can also get a fire burning outside upon request. In the Autumn/Winter months we have a great heating system to keep your warm and cozy and extra blankets. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children. We have dogs, sheep and chicken and really embracing rural life. This is our home but we have enough space to allow for privacy, including a separate entrance and outdoor patio area. The site is sloped with lots of steps so you will need to be comfortable with this. We are here as much or as little as you need us, and pride ourselves on being warm and friendly. Any further questions do not hesitate to ask. We are very proud of the feedback we have had so far, and we very much look forward to welcoming you if you are also looking to stay in our "Room with a View".

If you’re hoping to get away from it all, Anne’s Hut plunges you into seclusion amongst the greenery and the tranquillity of the Wye Valley. Equipped and furnished to a high standard, these shepherd’s huts make ingenious use of space while including everything you need to enjoy your stay. One of the huts is the main living area, with cosy wood burning stove and modern amenities, while the other is the luxury bathroom. The huts are linked by a decking patio area. Below the huts is the fire pit, where you can try your hand at cooking outdoors or lounge in the comfy chairs and hammock. It’s the ideal spot for relaxing after a day’s exploration, listening to the birdsong of the evening chorus all around you. The ancient settlement of Penterry sits high on the hill between Chepstow and Tintern. From a spot just above Anne’s Hut which once housed a Roman Fort you have a perfect 360 degree view featuring seven counties. Designated as an AONB, the local area is beautiful and steeped in history. Chepstow boasts the oldest stone built castle in the land and Tintern with its majestic Abbey and stunning setting is a must to see. For gastronomes, there is a Michelin restaurant just 20 minutes away and there are many excellent eateries close by. If castles are your thing then there are five within 20 minutes and Llanthony Priory which is outstandingly beautiful is just 40 minutes away. This holiday at a glance Sleeps two guests. Open plan living area with super king bed. Separate bathroom with bath, walk in shower and sink and wc. Accomodation on one level (five steps up to accomodation). Wood burning stove. Good 4G signal. Sorry, no children or pets. Minimum two night stay. Additional features Central heating. Fitted gas oven. Fridge with small freezer. Garden furniture. Fire pit. Barbecue. Two bicycles available on request. Attractions and nearby amenities The attractive historic town of Chepstow is four miles away, boasting one of the oldest stone built castles in Britain. While you’re visiting Chepstow, don’t miss Chepstow Racecourse – the venue hosts everything from food festivals to concerts. The evocative ruins of Tintern Abbey are just two miles away. Immortalised in a poem by Wordsworth, the ruins are set in a beautiful wooded valley with plenty of walks to enjoy. If Tintern whets your appetite for ruins, don’t miss Raglan Castle near Monmouth. With a great tower, gatehouse and moat, this is everything a castle should be. Further up the River Wye is the border market town of Monmouth, where you’ll find a famous 13th century bridge stretching over the River Monnow as well as modern boutiques and galleries. One of the delights of Monmouth is The Whitebrook, a Michelin-starred restaurant, but if you fancy creating a dish or two of your own, Usk Farmer’s Market has lots of stalls offering fine, fresh produce. Markets are held every first and third Saturday of each month throughout the year. If you’d like to take some exercise in the great outdoors, the Royal Forest of Dean has lots of cycle paths to explore, and you can hire off-road bikes here too. For an enjoyable stroll through the woodland, look out for signs for the sculpture trail. Many award-winning restaurants and pubs are just a short drive away from Anne’s Hut, as are two first class golf courses, St Pierre (10 minutes away) and Celtic Manor (25 minutes away). In nearby Caerwent you’ll find Dewstow House, a nineteenth century villa. But people visit more for the gardens than the property – see how many hidden grottoes you can discover.

Approximately 10 minutes by car from M48, 6 minutes by car to the racecourse. Handy for Offa's Dyke Trail, Wye Valley Walk and the start of the Wales Coastal Path. Chepstow is set in the Wye Valley, with a stunning castle and glimpses of the inspiration for Harry Potter landmarks. 5 minutes by car to Tintern (Abbey) 25 minutes from Abergavenny and the beautiful black mountains. On the edge of Chepstow Park Forest with endless walks and stunning scenery.
Coffee/tea making facility in room. Continental or cooked breakfast can be provided for an additional charge £7 continental and £10 full english. Well behaved dogs are also welcome for an additional charge if £10 per night which I ask for on arrival. Please be aware we have a dog and cat. I also ask that no nuts or sesame products to be brought on the property as my son has a severe nut and sesame allergy. No smoking on the property. Secure lock up for bicycles in the garage.
Quiet location. Chepstow Park Forest with its endless trails and stunning scenery with access directly minutes from property with endless walks and stunning scenery from Gloucestershire over to the Black Mountains,

Bunkhouse in the beautiful Wye Valley just off Offa's Dyke. On site facilities: Cinema screen, Pool table, WiFi, self catering kitchen, fire pits with optional extras at additional cost Inc. hot tubs, indoor skatepark, wood fired pizza and breakfast. Beds have clean base sheet and pillow but please bring duvet or sleeping bag.
Bunkhouse is split into 3 separate bedrooms of beds 4, 5 and 8. We can also accommodate an extra 4 in a caravan also and there is possibility of pull out bed. Groups over 13 will have full private use of bunkhouse including downstairs room and facilties. Bunkhouse is situated on a two acre site along with our residence and other residents. We are quite relaxed and do have guests privacy in mind but outside areas maybe used by other residents at certain times. Along with our two friendly dogs, other pets and two children.
On the foot of Offa's Dyke footpath to explore the beautiful Wye Valley what's not to like. Although seemingly in a very rural area we do respect our neighbours and have limits on late night noise outside. The bunkhouse however is very well sound insulated so not a problem in there.
