Great place to stay. Brenda is an excellent host and the house and room are beautiful and incredibly well looked after. The location is perfect with great food and transport links nearby. This is the place to book!

I really enjoyed staying with Brenda and getting to chat with her. Upon arrival, she had left me a map of the city as well as a list of some local spots to check out. I didn't get to visit all of them, but I hope to go back and try the rest. Her place was clean and quiet, and I enjoyed the time I spent there. I'll definitely consider her availability first the next time I'm visiting SF.

Brenda is amazing. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and make your trip to SF the best it can be! The bedroom is adorable and cozy, and I felt immediately at home. The place itself is also a gem... the kitchen in the morning is such a lovely spot! The neighbourhood is perfect... close to so many adorable little restaurants and cafes (Cafe Sophie became my home away from home), funky neighbourhoods (Castro, Mission), and super close to the Muni, busses and not too far from the BART. I spent three weeks with Brenda and I could not have chosen a better host to have my first Airb'nb experience with! A couple of notes: I am allergic to cats, but Brenda's place is so clean and airy that I never once had a reaction. I also fell in love with Mumu, the world's sweetest cat, and Boo, the sprightly little rescue pup. Finally, I was there to work (which wasn't always easy in such a fun neighbourhood and city) and my desk space and WIFI made my room at Brenda's into the perfect little office. I would encourage you to book with Brenda without hesitation, she'll help make your SF experience the best it can be!

I've stayed for a few days at Brenda's place and was very pleased with it. The room was a bit on the small side but perfect for me. Nice bed, great location with coffeehouses and restaurants just around the corner, a wonderful host and last but not least cute pets!

I had a great stay at Brenda's! It was like being just another roommate. I had a lot of unusual requests because it was a Jewish holiday and there are a lot of rules and customs, and Brenda was super accommodating and made me feel welcome and comfortable. The place is very clean and well-decorated. There is a cat and a dog, but I just took Zyrtec in the morning and I had no allergies. For non-native English-speaking guests-- the bed is a day bed, which means a firm cushion (not really a mattress). It was fine for me, but it's not as big or soft as a regular bed. The location can't be beat! Right between the Mission and the Castro, but on a quiet street.

Brenda has a nice place close to all the Castro attractions and near to Muni routes. Her dog and cat are friendly. The older home has been modernised and decorated nicely.

This is a great location near to market street, fisherman wharf, Bart station! Brenda is an excellent hostess; the room, the house very clean, the Homestay very friendly anything you need Brenda provides you or she can help you in what you need. Definitely, it is a super recommended place.

This place is great! The location is perfect if you want to be out of the highly touristed areas but still get a feel of San Francisco. Nearby Cortland street has some really great restaurants and coffee shops. The place is well stocked for cooking, etc. and felt like "home" while we were there. I highly recommend it!

We had a very pleasant stay at Mike and Nic's. We arrived late at night and we found everything to feel immediately comfortable. The most important things to us are quietness and cleanliness and we've been completely satisfied. I repeat, it was VERY CLEAN AND VERY QUIET, not a single noise, not a single speck of dust. They contacted us the first morning to be sure that everything was fine. The neighborhood, Bernal Heights, is lovely, very green, it was a pleasure to walk on every side of the hill. People are nice, many coffee shops, restaurants and everything-you-need nearby.

We had a beautiful stay in Mike and Nic's studio! There were four of us and we all fit perfectly without feeling too cramped. The area had a great view of the bay with many food and entertainment spots within walking distance. We would defiantly stay here again! Thank you again Mike and Nic!

Our stay at Sara's place was great. We arrived at night and just happened to bump into Sara outside her home. She took us into the apartment where the fire was going which was such a lovely welcome. The apartment was extremely comfortable and clean and there were lots of books on San Francisco which helped to plan our days there. There was a coffee machine to help start the day and the view out to the back garden was lovely. We were even able to wash and dry our clothes which was a bonus after a few weeks of travel. So a great apartment, close to cafes and restaurants and a easy ride by the Muni into town. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and Sara was a really lovely host.

Such a great place to stay. Sara was very welcoming and went out if her way to make our stay comfortable. The location was superb and Bo the dog was the icing on the cake. So much easier to park then we feared too.

This place is awesome. It's a relaxing space and it's close to restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and everything you need. Definitely stay here!

Sara greeted us with a great warm welcome! The apartment was very warm, clean and comfortable! Was extremely to public transport and the heart Haight Ashbury. Limited kitchen facilities, there is however a toaster, kettle and fridge. Sara was more than happy to let us use the washing machine and tumble dryer! The apartment is a secluded, stylish and quiet garden apartment which we absolutely loved! Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate in returning!

Hidden off the street and quiet with easy walking access to stores and restaurants. Sarah was a great hostess. I would definitely recommend and would use it again if it were available. So much better than a hotel!

Perfect location in a beautiful and accessible neighborhood. We were able to walk to restaurants, coffee, Buena Vista and Golden Gate parks. The location was private and we were able to come and go whenever we needed. It had everything we needed and more! Sara was a great host and even helped a friend deliver a package to us. Will stay again when we return to San Francisco!

Really enjoyed our stay. Dennis and his wife were so friendly and helpful. The appartment was as advertised. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Bus stops right across the road along with a small grocery store.

We had a very good time in SF! The appartement is very comfortable and pretty. It is very nicely situated with a lot of very good restaurant nearby. Dennis and Nancy were very nice. I always received quick responses to my inquiries and they were vey respectful of our privacy.

The location and hospitality of the hosts is outstanding. The neighborhood has an actually neighborhood vibe and I felt safe safe the entire time. The decor of the AIRBNB is eclectic and full of San Fran touches. The hosts were incredibly communicative and friendly. I do want to put out there that you are staying directly under the AIRBNB hosts and can hear everything from above. I’m a light sleeper and at times found the noise a little too much. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

A really nice place to come home too after a full days worth of activities in the Fall. Heated bedding makes for a cozy sleep.

This place is definitely cute and not bad for one, but the bed is a bit small for two people. Located great, near many outdoor activities but use caution when opting for street parking - our car was broken into. Overall it was very enjoyable but may lack some of the commodities normal tourists are looking for like an iron and iron board and heating.

This was our first Airbnb experience and this listing didn't disappoint at all. The location was perfect and there wasn't problems parking, especially with a little patience circling the neighbourhood. Joshua was a good host and very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in San Francisco!

Great place! Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed. Public transportation was close by and easy to use.

Josh welcomed us to their home when we arrived, he was helpful in providing directions to the local supermarket and advice on restaurants. It is true to the pictures and the location is perfect for anyone looking for peace and quiet. It close to beach and Golden Gate park and there is plenty of public transport available to get to downtown San Francisco. Josh and Lizzy were very accommodating, and were always available via text or phone call. They even let us bring our dog at last minute when the pet sitter let us down. One minor thing is that the walls are thin (I think this is the case with most places in San Fran) so you can hear walking and noise from above. However, this did not bother us as we were out most of the time. Overall, we had a great experience and a fantastic vacation.

Josh's place was exactly as shown in the pictures, it's very comfy and well maintained, and located in a nice quiet street about 2-3 blocks from the beach! We had such a good time there, we tried a few of the restaurants and cafes that he recommended and they didn't disappoint! Josh is very easy to communicate with and would defiantly recommend!

Joshua war sehr gut per Mail zu erreichen und hat alle unsere Fragen schnell beantwortet. Das Appartement ist wunderschön eingerichtet und die Lage zum Strand ist gut. Mit dem Bus kommt man schnell und günstig in die Stadt. Ich kann das Appartement nur empfehlen. Der von mir beschriebene Schimmel an den Fenstern wollte Joshua von einem Fachmann nach unserem Aufenthalt entfernen lassen, dann ist die Wohnung perfekt. Die Nachbarschaft ist sehr ruhig und angenehm, die Wohnung liegt im Keller und ist sehr hellhörig, allerdings waren Joshua und seine Frau sehr rücksichtsvoll und wir konnten gut schlafen. Der wunderschöne kleine Garten darf benutzt werden, wir haben davon leider keinen Gebrauch gemacht, da das Wetter nicht so gut war. Uns hat der Aufenthalt in San Francisco gut gefallen.

Josh was a great host, very helpful. He addressed all my questions and needs in a prompt manner. Flat is nicelly equipped and very cosy. Has beautiful garden. Location is great for people who lobe peace and quiet, nature ans ocean. Well connected with down town SFO. Beach is beautiful. Must try - devils teeth bakery and java beach coffee shop. What a wonderful place to spend a long weekend! The apartment is beautifully and comfortably furnished and there is some gorgeous outdoor space as well. The location is perfect especially if you like walking - the beach, park, restaurants and cafes are all very accessible. Getting to downtown or other neighborhoods is just a cheap Lyft/Uber away. I don't think we could've been any happier, will definitely consider staying again next time I am in SF.

Jeff’s place was fantastic. Very clean and stylish place with everything you needed. In a great location, right near heaps of great places to eat! Jeff was very accommodating and helpful letting us drop our bags off early and checking in on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Fast and reliable communication between the hosts. They helped us with the luggage up the stairs. The room is very spacious with a strong shower pressure and heat- must have in any place! Parking was the most convenient and inexpensive compared to other locations. Everything is walkable- great selection of restaurants, coffee shops, ATMs and ample parking. The place is comparable to a five star boutique hotel- I wished I could have stayed longer.

I can definitely recommend Jeff’s and Mike’s Airbnb. I felt cared for just right after I’ve booked. Communication was super fast and you’ll get good information about what to expect and discover during your visit. Even an unplanned early check in wasn’t a problem at all. You’ll find a super clean and well arranged Airbnb. Nothing to think over, just book it!

What a beautiful space, newly renovated with great attention to detail. Just half a block away from Fillmore where there are many great restaurants. Jeff was a welcoming host and the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A great deal for a room in the heart of SF. I love Blair's apartment! It's really nice and perfectly located -close to Fillmore street filled with cute shops and cafe! The amenities were really great specifically the bed is so comfortable. Kitchen is gorgeous and nicely stock with spices etc. However note there wasn't a microwave which would have been convenient to re-heat leftover food etc. Blair was easy to reach and helpful with her recommendations on places to eat and visit in SF. Only opportunity area is the absence of closet space in the apt. If you have short stay that would be fine..but for longer stay would be nice to hang clothes etc. vs. living out of a suitcase. We would definitely recommend Blair's place to friends visiting SF!

We loved Blair's apartment, it was a fantastic place to stay so thank you for having us as your guests Blair. The neighbourhood is very residential and quiet, but still within easy walking distance of Union Street (great shopping!) and other areas. We would be happy to come back again for another visit one day.

Blair's place is a perfect European-style pied-a-terre, the architecture and interior styling blew us away. The neighborhood is so charming, and walking distance from a lively shopping area with cute restaurants (you don't even have to scale any hills!). Perfect for an intimate couple or solo traveler. Staying at Blair's place was a great experience. The house is beautiful and very well-appointed; a tranquil retreat in one of the nicest spots in SF. Blair was super cool and made sure we were comfortable, and she has an impeccable sense of style. Everything went smoothly with the communication and check-in. A total gem. Definitely recommended.

Blair was fantastic at making us feel at home. Anything we needed was just a text or call away. The apartment was exactly as described and in the best location you could ask for. We walked almost everywhere with no problem.

Communication with Su was very good, the neighbourhood is pretty good (if you can find a parking spot) with good restaurants as well as the Golden Gate Park at walkable distance. The room itself is quite comfortable for 1~2 people.

Su was a nice host and communication with her was always easy. The suite was principally clean, well-located and equipped with everything we needed. However, unfortunately there were some negative aspects, so that we didn‘t feel entirely comfortable. The place was a bit dark and had a slight odor. Bed and kitchen share one small room. The ventilation was noisy and couldn’t be controlled (waking us up several times at night). So, overall, I’m afraid I can‘t recommend the place. It wasn‘t exactly bad, but one will definitely find better value for the money.

I stayed at Linda's house for 7 nights. It was right where I needed to be area wise (20 min walk) and the neighborhood is wonderful. Great restaurants and shopping. I had everything I needed at Linda's minus a sponge for the dishes, but made due. She was very accommodating with my requests and left a lot of great information in the kitchen. It was great being able to come and go without thinking I was bothering anyone. In fact I never met Linda or her husband the whole time I was there. I felt like i was in Charlies Angels. (sorry if you are too young to get that reference!). The only complaint was the fridge made a loud clicking sound when the compressor went on so I just unplugged it at night and it was no problem once I figured out what it was. Very spacious and clean!

A lovely sparkling clean and spacious space. About 30 minutes from downtown by the very nearby and frequent public tram system. Has pretty much everything you need for a stay. We could hear the other people moving around upstairs but it didn’t bother us at all. A pretty and quiet garden to unwind in after a day out. Nice to stay outside the city and get a more local feel - plenty of shops nearby. Highly recommend.

Linda has a wonderful clean room just off the back garden and with your own private entrance off the street. She was very flexible as i checked in a little early and also attentive as she responded to a couple of requests immediately.

Cute small space close to public transportation and easy to get around town. Parking was not too hard to find within a couple of blocks. only downside for me was you could hear people talking and walking around in other units but all in all it was a great space for a great price in San Francisco.

This is a great and safe place to stay right downtown. The rooms were clean, and after our heater could not be turned off in our room, they gave us a much bigger, nice room for our stay, which was very good. I would certainly recommend it for the price, cleanliness, and location.

I stayed here for an entire month. Good value and good location at a monthly rate, probably would not stay here for day or week duration-for that stay it is worth it to upgrade to a real hotel. Location was great and very walkable to most things. Laundry on site was a nice feature

I stayed here for two and half month. Location is great close to Union square and China town, 20 minutes walk to ferry building. I had a room with TV and basin and had to share toilet and bathroom with the floor. There were two toilets and 1 bathroom on each floor. Room cleaning was once a week. Overall I enjoyed my stay at 325. Great value for the price paid.

Incredible place, clean and really beautiful.

Carlos is a great host! He gives a proper and thorough orientation to the building and the condo! He shows you how to access the “other” building, and I’m so glad he did! One day the elevator was closed to the garage for “moving” and I had to enter the other building to get into the garage to get my car. I wouldn’t have known what to do if Carlos hadn’t shown me that other buildings access to the garage (there is no on sight office here as it’s not an apartment complex). The place was white glove clean! I love the decor! Carlos was quick to respond to any communication efforts. I would love to stay here again!

This was my first time using Airbnb and I had a great experience. The apartment was just like the pictures: very clean and modern and had everything we needed. Carlos was also very helpful in showing us around the apartment. He was very generous in accommodating my requests to make my stay comfortable. He was prompt in his responses. Bed was super comfortable and having Netflix on the TV screen was a blessing. The studio itself and surroundings had everything we needed. So convenient, definitely recommend this place!

If I had to choose between great hosts and great apartment, I would choose the first. But imagine if you would not have to make compromise and you could have both hosts and a wonderful place to live. Actually, there is no need to imagine this scenario: simply contact Graciela and Carlos. I can only reinforce what is already written in previous reviews: Graciela and Carlos are a wonderful couple who will do everything in their power to make your stay as comfortable as possible in their studio(s). As a matter of fact, my impression is that they will gladly run the extra mile in order to help. The apartment is one of the best ones I have ever lived in (and I have lived in many apartments and houses throughout 10 countries of Europe and Asia). I know where I will want to stay next time I come to San Francisco. To wrap it up, I can wholeheartedly recommend any of their apartments (even though I lived in only one). By having great and caring hosts like Graciela and Carlos, the only thing you need to "worry about" is to enjoy your stay in this wonderful city.

The staff here are super friendly and were very helpful for me during my first trip to San Francisco. The location was close to where I needed to be for my business trip, but if you are here for tourism, it is great too! Nestled into Chinatown, the hotel is close to many things and a short walk or ride to other San Franciscan attractions. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. The only thing I think that would improve them is a mini-fridge in the rooms and a fan, but otherwise everything was great!

This venue is really worth What you’re paying. Although it’s not the most comfortable accommodation, it’s location more than makes up for it, and the accommodations are very clean. I really appreciated the kind staff as I came and went. Altogether, I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Really nice hotel in a nice location

I am a frequent Air B&B patron, and I rarely write a bad review, but there was very little positive to say about this location. What I can say is that it was relatively inexpensive for San Francisco (a place I visit often for fun and work). It was also clean, and the shower had nice, hot water. The cons: I have never slept in a less comfortable bed. I swear it was a boxspring with a thin cushion on top. The host was slow to respond, and the hotel attendants were not very friendly. They have a discount agreement with a local parking garage, but did not give us the yellow ticket required to get the discount upon leaving, even though we stoped and checked out at the front desk. The garage is three blocks somewhat uphill from the hotel, so we did not want to walk back with our luggage for the discount. The room was hot and there were no visible thermostat controls anywhere. I would not recommend this location and I will not return.

This apartment is really cute. It’s a small space, but very well thought out. Colleen makes use of every part of the space for something useful. I just loved it. It was sparkling clean as well. The apartment is even better than the pictures reflect. Great neighborhood with lots of street parking. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful place in SF! Very clean, easy to access, and cozy! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay and really appreciated the snacks left for us! Would love to stay again :)

Seriously, this place was fantastic. We regretted not staying for more than just the night after we experience how lovely this place was. Lots of places to eat nearby and Colleen also included an incredible guide book with anything you could want to do, and then some! Would love to stay here again.

The Mulk place was fantastic! It was so clean, homey, and stylish! The location was great because you feel like a local living in a great SF neighborhood. There are so many great restaurants nearby and the beach isn't far either!

Lovely place, very quiet and easy to find. Parking not far away.

Communication with the provider was quick and consistent. Area was very good and had plenty of small eateries around, that had great food. Place was very quiet, neat, and clean. We'll stay again next time we go to SF.

The place is great. The library is amazing. We loved all the books that Steven had. Steven and his husband are very welcoming and are always ready to help you plan your visit, telling you something interesting about the neighborhood or what to see. I you wanna spend a few days in SF, I recommend Stevens place for sure!!

Stephens place is in a great location and close to the trolley & muni bus routes. Uber is so cheap especially if you share a ride. The space is quite busy, its a library for Stephen & Brians large book collection. They have lots of pamphlets of local attractions, restaurants etc. Duboce Ave cafe is fab & such varied food choices. Visiting from England food is quite different but main difference is the portions. BIG!

Stephens was a great host. His place was conveniently located to everywhere I needed to go. He was also very accommodating of my random requests. I'd definitely stay there again.

I really liked the kitchen facility. Room no. 2 alloted to me is adequte for a single occupancy. This room lacks a wardrobe to keep your clothing. Christina is a nice host and responds well when contacted. Guests must memorise the lock code as without it you may get locked out. The house is neat and tidy.

Sean was a responsive host whose place he makes welcoming for guests. San Francisco is an expensive and difficult place to find accommodation at times, so I was glad I could spend a night here.

Such an awesome experience! Some guests were a bit loud late at night checking in but other than that we loved our stay! Very comfortable bed, they had all the appliances in the kitchen to allow us to cook our own dinners, free Netflix, and very friendly neighbors! Plus our hosts helped us with whatever we needed and the response was always quick! Had a great weekend there!

Sean & Vanessa’s place is definitely the place to go if you want quick access to the city with reasonable price! Krystyna makes the home sparkling clean! They responded really fast and try their best solving problems.

It was our first time using Airbnb and I'm glad I did. Sean was very involved and helpful even before we got to the home. We had everything we needed, restrooms were clean and price was good. He was very attentive and we appreciate it that a lot. I liked how we had the train less than two blocks away, the cost is $2.75 and it took us all the way to el Barcadero. Fisherman's wharf was at walking distance and also pier 39. You can find the main stop for the cable cars which is also at a walking distance. It was really convenient. On our way back we used lyft and it was definitely worth it since we didn't have to leave earlier and we enjoyed more around the city. Thank you Sean

Great location in the Mission District. Andy was super helpful from before we arrived and throughout our stay with instructions and recommendations. The place was very clean!

Good location and managed luck with parking outside. Its a well oiled machine so comms and check in were faultless. FYI this does mean you need make the bed and then strip it etc the next day and follow the instructions to a T,which is different from other Airb&b's I've stayed in, but the stay was great.

Andy was an incredible host. Instructions for check-in and check-out were clearly communicated and had plenty of thoughtful touches that made our stay that much better!

Its our first time staying at a private room, we usually choose full appartments and it was great! We felt like we had the place for ourselves. The app is fully equiped, andy is great and gave us a great guide of the city!

Andy’s place is well kept, clean and comfortable. It worked perfect for a quick stopover, but I would have liked to stay longer. He’s fast on the responses, and the arrival was seamless.

If you're looking for hotel style quality in an Airbnb accommodation then Andy's is the place for you. Easy to check in and out, loads of extras that you might have forgotten (toothbrushes, razors, shampoo - even bread, cereal, coffee etc for the morning), and located in a really cool neighbourhood. Communication was easy and efficient, only 15 minutes to the airport and 15 to town by bus. Thanks Andy!

Great space. Very thoughtful touches throughout and Andy is super friendly. He lives in one of the rooms in this house and readily available for any questions. He even mails a postcard for you if you wish to show off your SFO visit to family and friends. The kitchen is awesome and so is the shared bath. You are also close to coffee shops and some really nice restaurants. Go to Spice Jar and you won’t be disappointed.

Arcene's place was great. Clean and very nicely updated. The kitchen was awesome if you are looking to cook some of your own food. The place is located on a very steep hill. We adjusted to driving up it after a day.

Very nice apartment with a super-responsive host!

Really cute and clean studio located in Noe Valley just below the twin peaks. Great value for SF and good space for 2 people. Arcene had almost every toiletry you could need in the bathroom which was really nice. The apt is located on a very steep street and while parking was available directly in front of the apt, we chose to park on a flat street nearby!

Arcene's place was beyond awesome! It had everything we needed and was the perfect size for my boyfriend and I. Not to mention, in such a cool, quiet neighborhood! We definitely look forward to staying here again when we visit SF!

Hotel Whitcomb is in such a great location, very close to Bart. The actual room was clean, had a big TV and just overall nice. Someone named Amelia texted me the day we arrived to ensure we were comfortable and didn't need anything- which was very thoughtful. The only complaint is that our room faced other rooms just a few feet away so for privacy we'd have to keep the blinds closed. Overall, would recommend! Great value for the stay. :)

Jessica's place was clean, cozy, spacious and in a great location. If you are ever in the area and need a place to stay, I would highly recommend staying here.

Jessica was very organized and responsive. Location was good. Room 2 is in basement so it is kinda dark and room is very basic. Has the essentials but no decorating or anything special. Walkable to union square and a little over 20 min walk to moscone center.

Jessica`s place was super clean, spacious and well located. The communication with Jessica was always quick and perfect. Would definitely stay again.

The room was clean and Jessica was so kind. But it was so noisy.. We could hear every sound coming from laundry room, aisle and even upstair.. Couldn't sleep until 1 AM.. Suffered a lot.... :(

Really enjoyed my stay in SF at Nando’s property. It’s clear in his listings that he has multiple rooms available in the same home, but I felt my space was private, and all guests had plenty of flexibility in sharing the common areas. Nando, himself, was a great host; responsive to my special requests. This home’s location in close proximity to some of the best SF has to offer make it a fantastic choice for stay in the city for play, or for work, seeing as the financial district is easy walking distance as well. Looking forward to staying again; thanks Nando!

Great location to visit the city. Lets you drop off your luggage prior to check-in for $10. Good if your flight gets in early and still want to explore the city.

Bathroom smell was horrible. When asked to switch rooms they brought deodorant spray.

Market Street didn't feel like the nicest and safest location, especially during the night. The hotel itself was nice accom and did the trick for our short stay.

The hospitality here I felt was outstanding. When we checked in we were greeted with a very friendly and smiling person. The rooms were nice and different. The only thing I did not like were the parking. Only valet parking. Although I didn’t care for that, the valet guys were awesome and very helpful. Because of that I was over the parking issue. Thank you!

Budi was very communicative. He made check-in very easy, and left clear instructions. The room was very clean, and I enjoyed the hosts and other guests. The location is close to the park and many Thai and Chinese restaurants and shops.

Budi and Pat were extremely welcoming, including bringing me a bouquet of fresh flowers. I slept soundly and love the neighborhood, a short walk to a marvelous Sunday Farmer's Market.

We took this bedroom at Budy’s home and it’s perfect located to visit San Francisco.

At first look the house may look a little rough around the edges, but go inside and you will find a cosy home with a really spacious bedroom and a both friendly and caring host - who even left some snacks out for me! The house is a little further from Downtown than I had anticipated but, its really quick to get there either by taking the bus on Geary Street, or just catching an Uber. Overall, its great value for the price, especially considering how friendly the host was!

I so enjoyed my stay at Budi’s place. It was clean, the location was great, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use his place again if I needed somewhere to stay in SF.

The house is absolutely lovely - lots of natural light and beautifully decorated. The room is spacious and has great views as well. There is one bathroom - shared - but it was never a problem. We only got to spend one night here, but I wish it could have been longer! It's located in a calm neighborhood, yet close enough to shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. You can easily walk to the Mission District. Maria is very welcoming and helpful in getting you whatever you need. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting San Francisco!

Beautiful house, nice and clean bedroom and bathroom

Maria can be one of the best hostesses ever. She is super kind and really makes you feel welcomed. ,We visited at 31th of oktober and she generously shared some costumes with us so that we could join the fun on 24th Street. Thank you Maria for an amazing experience!

Maria's place looks better that in the photographs posted on the site. It's tastefully decorated and welcoming. The location is ideal - a quiet area which is in walking distance to may areas of interest in the city. Although we spent there one night only we enjoyed our stay very much and will go back when we have the opportunity to visit San Francisco again.

Kevin's house was in a great location, although a little confusing for some Uber drivers. It was very close to the underground and a casual 20 minute downhill walk to the botanic gardens. He was very helpful with his information provided and generous with his provisions. Thanks for all your help

Had a great time staying at Kevin's. The place was clean and comfy. The closest train station is only about a 15-minute walk away that takes you straight into the heart of SF. Kevin's also very thoughtful taking extra time to explain to us on navigating SF from forest hill. Check-in and out was super efficient. Would recommend to anyone visiting SF.

Der begleitete Check-In durch Kevin war wirklich sehr hilfreich und hat mir persönlich sehr gut gefallen.Er hat uns so viele tolle Tips gegeben, wie wir unsere 3 Tage in San Francisco optimal nutzen können. Es war sauber und man hatte alles, was man in einer Unterkunft braucht. Das auch noch Lebensmittel für Frühstück zur Verfügung standen, hat unsere Erwartungen komplett übertroffen. Seine Unterkunft wird wärmstens weiter empfohlen und wir sind ihm für seine tolle Unterkunft sehr dankbar.

Kevin communicated clearly that he is available 24/7 to help me during my stay. He is very generous with his breakfast offering and did his best to make my stay comfortable.

It was easy to understand how to get in and find our bedrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms are shared between a couple of families, but they were clean. The mattresses are soft, and it is quiet at night. This place is 2 blocks away from 3rd St, where different food options are available. Parking was good for us, but not for the people arriving very late at night. In the morning someone had to get their car towed, so be careful about parking if you decide to stay here! ;)

Wonderful place to stay in and I was pleasantly surprised by the way they decorated the rooms such that it felt like a hostel but with the comfort of a hotel. Good location to get to SF city if there is no jam! ◡̈

Loved staying at Sean and Vanessa's place! They are quick with their responses and very friendly. Location was great as it was about 15-20min from downtown.

The room was nice and comfortable for our group of 5. Sean was a great host. Great communication, very friendly and accommodating! There were several other guests staying at his home in different rooms. Some of the guests took a very long time using the restrooms, so that was a little inconvenient. Also one of the guests left the restroom a bit messy with hair in the tub and water all over the floor. Lastly, the neighborhood is a little bit sketchy, we did not feel comfortable and safe walking around outside at night. Aside from these things which Sean had no control over, our stay was nice and the price was very reasonable.

About a 15 minute drive from both the airport and downtown San Francisco and there is a metro stop about a 5 minute walk away. Overall good value for money

The location was good the checkin was great the only and the biggest need for me for renting the air bnb on a 7 hour layover was for the internet and it didn't work didn't accept my phone, my laptop and my iPad. I took pictures of the error 404 message means its disconnected. so make sure you confirm this with the controller of the airbnb

Great location! Bare bones room. Walls are thin which may be a problem if you're a light sleeper. Great communication!

Alice is very helpful and the location is really convenient. Some noises can be heard from the street specially during the nighttime, Alice provided some earplugs and those help.

The place is clean, safe, and has a good location. The host is flexible for the checkout time with a reasonable extra cost.

It is good enougth

If you are a single woman, I do not recommend this place. I had a shared bathroom with three men, and felt the security on the doors was not good. Worse yet, I was locked out of the apartment with no response from the host at 11pm (I emailed, texted, called and tried the doorbell), with nowhere to go and only a homeless guy on the street. Needless to say, I was frightened and upset. The lockbox, which had worked for me on several other occasions, was not working on my last night. I ended up having to find a hotel at the last minute - which was very difficult - and spend over $300 for the hotel room. The host has not communicated with me further though I've asked for a refund on the night that I was locked out.

MIchael was an incredibly gracious host. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and we had access to everything we needed. He was even kind enough to share his coffee and food with us in the morning. Cannot thank him enough for his hospitality.

Michael's place is wonderful. It is clean and neat and located in a very quiet neighborhood. You can have your own bathroom and a private patio. Also the price is much lower than similar room in the area. Michael is a really nice guy. He provided breakfast and fruits for free. BTW, he can speak Chinese, so Chinese travelers should consider his place. Strongly recommend!

Perfect place to stay

What a great first experience of Airbnb! We were busy out and about most of the day, so coming back to a comfortable room was key for us. Michael and Vernon made us feel at home, offered us coffee and brekky and just made the whole process so easy and flexible. The place was exactly as described - clean and friendly - and the recommendations for the area definitely helped us out! Thanks so much guys!!

I really loved staying at Michael’s. The linen is amazing, the bed was super comfy, and the wifi was fast. It’s a cute neighbourhood away from the business of town. Bus stop is right around the corner, as is a great farmers market on the weekend. Loved it!

Really nice room in a quiet neighborhood. The bed is also really comfortable. The kitchen is open for you to make your own breakfast, unfortunately I never had time to make it during my stay since I had to be at places at a certain time. Michael and his partner are very considerate for their guests and I would highly recommend this place! Thank you again for nice stay!

Huge Victorian House with many rooms. The place is really cool and on height street you'll find everything you might need. Transportation is also very easy (especially when taking the N train downtown). I really liked my stay and would come back.

I was there for business and the location was perfect to move around in all part of the cities. Close to Wholefoods, good restaurants and a lot of bus stations. The people that live there are supper friendly and we ate a big meal with them, played some board games and drank with them. The check in and check out are as easy as it gets. The streets is really noisy that would be my only issue but apart from that great place would recommend.

Such a great, fun place to stay! Right on the exciting Haight Street and close to some amazing local restaurants (not to mention the sprawling Golden Gate Park). Room was clean, but far from sterile (there's some cool stuff in there). Had a great stay in this BnB and would stay again.

We loved this AirBnB. It’s in an historic well maintained building. The room was decorated very 60’s and artistic. The hallways are lit up and night with multicolored LED lights...looks beautiful & funky and highlights the uniqueness of this AirBNB. It doesn’t have a private bathroom but has a sink in the room which is very nice. It was our first AirBnB with a shared bathroom. There are residence in the building that leave their stuff in them. The bathrooms were clean though and there seemed to be enough of them. There was a large tv on the room but it wasn’t connected to anything. We didn’t mind though. We just relaxed and went out exploring. The room is on the front of the building and we did hear a lot of street noise because we had the window open. A sleeping pill or ear plugs solves the problem. It’s just the usual sounds of a vibrant city. It was also our first experience staying in an AirBnB without ever meeting a host and without keys. They give you a code to get into the front door and a code to your room. It was kind of nice not having to worry about misplacing keys. We did have one question about something that we messaged the host group about when we got home. Michael was very helpful and got back to us with an answer very quickly. Thanks Michael and group! We’d definitely stay here again.

Michael and Yesica were amazing hosts! Being a first time Airbnb user I was a little hesitant to what my experience will be like, but my experience were beyond my expectations. Our plane arrived early in the day but we were welcome to drop our belongings off while we explored the city. They showed us around the house and welcomed us to coffee, tea, and using their kitchen. They had many travel guides for San Francisco and good recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Everything was so clean and not once did we feel uncomfortable staying at their place. We will definitely be looking for their place to stay again if we visit :)

Yesica and Michael were very helpful. They recommended fun places to go and gave us great directions! The room is very nice and the bed is comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Hosts were friendly and really helpful if you have questions! The shared bathroom was always kept clean, which is real nice. You also get to meet an interesting mix of people. Definitely worth recommending if you plan to stay in the heart of the Mission for a day or so!

I had a great 2-night stay at Zain & Duncan’s group home! I was not around during the day so did not get to meet too many of the other guests, but everyone I did meet was incredibly warm and friendly — great community vibe. Easy check in/check out with clear instructions.

Zain and Duncan are very nice. Their house is clean and look the same as the pictures. And the best thing in theirs house is Raux (the dog). She is the most friendly dog I have ever met. If I have a chance to go to San Francisco I will stay here again.
