The Dairy at Middle Nuckwell is a one double bedroom property, with a luxury double sofabed in the lounge, so would sleep 4 people comfortably, and is detached from the main farmhouse. The Dairy is a traditional stone built property (the original dairy to the farmhouse) and has been recently renovated to the highest standard and includes a fully fitted kitchen, luxury bathroom with walk in shower, underfloor heating, wood burner and private courtyard area, which includes dining set and BBQ. There are horses, chicken and ducks on the property, and you are welcome to collect your own eggs for breakfast. The property has amazing views over a beautiful, peaceful valley. The Hayloft at Middle Nuckwell is also available to rent if you require space for more people.

The yachting town of Salcombe is also very close by, providing water sports, shopping and many restaurants. Dartmoor National Park is also close and can be seen from the property in the distance.

The bright and sunny Studio is situated in a quiet and picturesque valley a mile from the award winning Bantham beach. With a yoga platform in the garden and surrounded countryside, its the perfect retreat for couples, yogi or a small family looking for a relaxed getaway near the sea. Max 4 people!
The Studio is a unique little haven tucked in a Devonshire valley, a mile from the sea. Owned by an artist, it has a quirky shabby chique interior with an open plan living space, breakfast bar and balcony overlooking the valley. Its beautiful setting and location make it a perfect place to retreat to. The garden has a yoga platform for those who want to salute the Devon sun. Its located in a valley with a handful of other holiday cottages nearby and in sight, though its elevated place on the hill means its quiet and feels private. There are gorgeous country walks leaving from the property and a 20 minute walk to the famous, award winning Bantham Beach. Guests book repeatedly each year for its charm and location. The bedroom has its own balcony doors opening onto the valley and a skylight overhead for stargazing from bed. The living room has a pull out sofa bed for 2 people expanding the capacity to 4 people staying, though please note that the space is best suited for couples. The Studio is light and airy during the summer with lots of wild birds. Please note that cooking facilities are not extensive but certainly sufficient. Have a look in the pictures so you can see what is available and know what to expect. There is a lovely stray black and white cat, Miss Frieda Meoiw, who comes and goes over the year, who makes her home the studio for some of the time. She may or may not be there when you visit. She is to stay outdoors, although she loves a cuddle and feed if you like cats! During the winter, it is snug, cosy and warm! There are village shops and excellent pubs in Thurlestone (1.5m), Bantham (0.9m) and Churchstow (2m) and Kingsbridge (4m) offers a supermarket, banks, numerous shops, cafes, galleries, yoga studio and a regular farmers markets. Surf rentals can be found in Churchstow or on Bantham beach. Free parking for 2 cars. Please note a car is essential to get to this area!
Just a short way from the award winning Bantham Beach, this is an area with incredible country walks in every direction leaving the house. The solitude and quiet of the valley is at the heart of its charm and with little light pollution, its a great place for star gazing at night. Truly a beautiful retreat!

    Cosy One bedroom semi detached annex with private parking and garden. Our cottage is perfect for a quiet winter break storm chasing or a lovely summer break by the sea. Situated near the South West coast path and walking distance (20mins walk 1 mile) to pubs and beaches at Hope Cove and South Milton Sands. Salcombe and Kingsbridge less than 10 mins drive away! We are very happy for you to bring dogs but we request that they are not left at home unattended and that you clean up after them.
    Well equipped and self contained holiday apartment with spacious kitchen, living room and two bathrooms. Bedroom is light and airy with a large super king sized bed which can be made up as two single beds on request. Outdoor patio and enclosed garden with private parking.
    The property is in a village setting in a rural area surrounded by wonderful walks.

    The newly converted spacious loft in the Barn (Upper Deck) of the gardens of Lower Kerse set in 30acres of beautiful, tranquil gardens, woods and fields and only 5 minutes from local beaches such as South Milton Sands, the surf beach - Bantham, village pubs, beach restaurants, coastal walks, tennis and golf clubs. Upperdeck is newly furnished with constant free WiFi.
    The Upper deck is a newly converted and furnished upper floor of a new oak open plan barn (40ft x 14ft). It has a separate toilet and a separate shower room with hand basins in both. We provide professionally laundered linen, fresh towels and beach towels. The superking bed can be split into twins. Please state at time of booking how you would like beds made up. There is the option to assemble a single bed for a third person to share the room. There is a nightly charge for this.
    The Upper Deck is in a unique setting. It is in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty surrounded by beautiful gardens. We are only 5 minutes from the centre of Thurlestone Village in a secluded, peaceful valley with views of the sea from the garden. Thurlestone is a pretty thatched village with an excellent pub, golf/tennis club. Over 4 beaches in Thurlestone alone and Bantham beach, famous for its surf and surf school is only 10 minutes from your front door. Also, popular for kite surfing and wind surfing. Bantham beach also offers superb Stand Up Paddle boarding down the beautiful River Avon. Hire of Paddle boards can be arranged prior to arrival. Salcombe, 15 mins away and Kingsbridge under 10. We have put together a useful manual with all our favourite restaurants, cafes, sailing schools etc etc.....

Miejscowy pub serwuje dobre jedzenie i mieliśmy genialny wieczór w pop-up restauracja w Bantham Sklepy. Położony w pięknej okolicy Devon, poszliśmy do lokalnego pubu i plaż, a następnie spodziewałem się, że wrócimy na Upper Deck, gdzie mieliśmy grill i zapalił ognia wieczorem w godzinach wieczornych. Perfect for surfing, paddle boarding, idyllic walks, or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful South Hams
    Big open studio space with kitchen, dining and sofa area, recess with superking bed, and one single bed. There is a small mezzanine above for one or 2 small children. En suite shower and loo. Double French windows to sunny terrace ideal for outside dining, barbecues or simply relaxing and taking in the stunning view. We will take 3 adults maximum and one child or 2 adults and 2 children. The space is NOT suitable for 4 adults. I'm afraid we don't take pets.
    We have lived here all our lives and love this part of the world. We love to Paddle board down the Avon river from Aveton Gifford to Bantham where you can take a surf lesson or just sit and enjoy the view! We also love to walk with our dog through the local woods and alongside the estuary which is stunning whatever the tide. 10 minutes to the market town of Kingsbridge or Modbury where you can buy delicious food from local suppliers, 15 minutes to Salcombe. Our village has a great park and the tidal road is spectacular to walk down when the tide is out. Close to South Milton sands and Thurlestone beach, where you should visit the Beach House restaurant. Or visit the Oyster shack in Bigbury for some great seafood! We have put together a cheat sheet of South Hams and are happy to share all of our local knowledge with our guests or will happily leave you in peace to discover for yourselves

    This is a newly built, stunning coastal property just 100m from a clean, sandy, surfers beach. Spacious and fully equipped with 4 large bedrooms on the ground floor and a large open plan living area on the 1st floor. Large patio and hilly garden.
    This is a large newly built contemporary seaside home with a very tranquil feel about 100m from the Challaborough beach and 5 minute walk from Bigbury on Sea. 4 large bedrooms on the ground floor. One double room has a standard double bed, the other uses an IKEA Hemnes Day bed which can be a single or a double. Both quilts are available. One double bedroom has an ensuite with a walk in shower. The other double bedroom and two twin rooms share a family bathroom. Stairs lead to an open plan living space which comprises of a fully equipped kitchen, with washer and drier, a dining room and lounge. Large patio doors open up one entire side of the kitchen to a large, sunny patio with table, chairs and potted plants. Garden to the rear is grassed but hilly with a great sea view. Outdoor steps lead to a rooftop terrace which has not yet been developed. Parking for two cars maximum outside the house. However, for all other cars, the parking is 100m away in the Parkdean caravan site this costs £10 for a long weekend and £20 for a full week. Access to the property is via a secure pedestrian gate or a padlocked gate for vehicles via a building site.
    The house is about 100m down the lane to the beautiful, safe, sandy beach at Challaborough where we boast views of Burgh Island. The beach hosts a small cafe and well stocked beach equipment shop, a seafront bar and restaurant and a Nisa grocery store. These facilities are all seasonal, however, and open April to the end of October. Challaborough is an award winning Blue Flag beach, popular with both swimmers and surfers. Life guards are on duty May to September. We are a 5-10 minute walk over the SW coastal path to Bigbury and about 20 minute walk in a westerly direction towards Aymer.

  • Fantastyczna lokalizacja dla młodych rodzin. Plaża jest nieskazitelna i doskonale nadaje się do pływania, a dom jest bardzo praktyczny dla dzieci. Ścieżka na południowym wybrzeżu znajduje się dwie minuty od domu, a widoki na wyspę Burgh i Aymer Cove są wspaniałe. Nasze ulubione miejsca z jedzeniem to Journey's End i Oyster Shack, oba w pobliżu. W Challaborough jest oczywiście ogromny park dla przyczep kempingowych, który może trochę przeszkadzać, ale jest to ładny park z dobrymi udogodnieniami i doskonale dbają o plażę. Połączenie oszałamiającego domu i doskonałej lokalizacji dla dzieci sprawiło, że był to fantastyczny dwutygodnik.

It is situated on our coastal organic dairy farm on the South Devon coast. French doors open out onto the patio from the bedroom, giving you an area of total privacy (apart from the odd cow peering over the fence perhaps) from which to soak up the serenity of the surrounding countryside and to enjoy a soak in the gorgeous wooden hot tub.
    Situated on Lambside Farm, this lovely detached stone building was originally a barn and home to a domesticated gos hawk. Named in honour of its former resident, it has been thoughtfully renovated to provide delightful, modern accommodation for two people. The Mews has been arranged to give complete seclusion and offers an open plan living area downstairs with a woodburner, and a modern kitchen with a small dining area. There is also a small cloakroom downstairs with a toilet and basin. Outside is a delightful secluded patio and garden with your own private wooden woodfired hot tub – so romantic! A spiral staircase winds up to the first floor, also open plan, which has a king size bed and bathroom area with toilet (discreetly hidden behind the bookcase), hand basin and a wonderful antique roll top bath, quirkily painted like a cow! French doors open out onto the patio from the bedroom, giving you an area of total privacy (apart from the odd cow peering over the fence perhaps) from which to soak up the serenity of the surrounding countryside and to enjoy a soak in the gorgeous wooden hot tub. The kitchen even has a Nepresso coffee machine so you can make a perfect expresso to enjoy while sitting on the patio in the morning sun! The Mews has a telephone (incoming and emergency calls only), underfloor heating downstairs, central heating upstairs, a private parking area and all the standard facilities that we offer. Superior 100% white cotton bed linen and big fluffy towels and bath robes are all provided, as well as tea-towels, bath mats and environmentally friendly cleaning materials. We put delicious local organic milk in the fridge for your arrival – with our compliments, along with enough recycled paper toilet rolls, Fair Trade tea, coffee, sugar and local organic herbal tea to get you started!
    In the heart of the South Hams in Devon, Carswell Farm is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and the coastal path is right on the doorstep, providing stunning walks that lead to quiet beaches and picturesque villages. The farm is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an exceptional variety of wildlife and plants, including some extremely rare species that are encouraged because the farm is organic. Carswell is one of the few places in the country where you could spot a cirl bunting and there is a pair of faithful Peregrine Falcons who nest on the cliff here every year. We have an abundance of wildlife – hares, bats and badgers are just a few of the residents you are sure to see, and many more besides. We have barn owls and little owls residing in the old barns behind Lambside House – walk down the farm lane and see if you can see them out hunting.

This pretty cottage is a wonderful romantic retreat for two, perfect for quiet cosy evenings in, after long walks through amazing countryside and fantastic scenery or a day spent relaxing on one the many beaches, nearby.
    Outside is a private courtyard garden with cottage plants and seating, a lovely place to relax with a refreshing drink or to dine alfresco. Ringmore boasts a 13th century pub, Journey’s End Inn, serving delicious meals made with locally-sourced produce which is right next door! There is also a village shop and Post Office a short drive away. Just a mile and a half away is Bigbury-on-Sea, perfect for classic bucket and spade holidays, and ideal for surfing, windsurfing and kayaking. Equipment hire and lessons can be booked at the Discovery Surf School and after an active day on the sea, a stop at the Venus Cafe which serves delicious organic, free-range food throughout the year, is a must. For those of you preferring to stay on terra firma, there is an 18 hole cliff top golf course, offering spectacular views. Bigbury’s famous landmark, Burgh Island, which overlooks the beach and is accessible at low tide, when the waters reveal a causeway. When the tide is in you can still reach the island by hitching a ride on the popular and unique sea tractor. The island hotel is celebrated for its Art Deco design and for the inspiration it gave to its regular visitor, Agatha Christie who wrote one of her best known murder mysteries, And Then There Were None, about the location. Keen walkers will be spoilt for choice with some of the most spectacular stretches on the South West Coast Path being right on the doorstep. For anyone who can tear themselves away from this idyllic location, the charming towns of Modbury, Salcombe and Kingsbridge are all close by, whilst Plymouth, Dartmouth and the wild open spaces of Dartmoor are also all within easy reach.

    The lodge is south facing so nice and sunny ! Very peaceful and private. You can relax on the terrace and have the joy of your own grounds. It is well situated for the South West Coastal Path, Dartmoor and country walks , amazing beaches - no need to get in the car if walking is your thing .
    There are many good pubs nearby with great reputations for good food and friendly service . Close to a village shop and nearby Modbury for everyday needs.

There is off street parking on a shared drive but the apartment is tucked away and private, with it's own large deck and small private garden.
    The light and airy master bedroom and living area is on the upper floor, above the garage making the most of the views. There is a fresh, modern compact kitchen/dining area with a table and chairs, a generous bathroom en suite leading from the bedroom. Wireless internet access is also available. There is no mobile reception in the house, but you can get mobile reception with O2 in the garden where you park your car, freesat HD TV, DVD player.
    Close the the famous surfing beach at Bantham. There are two local pubs, The Sloop Inn at Bantham (10 minute walk) and The Village Inn at Thurlestone. There is also a café at Bantham village stores with a terrace which overlooks the beautiful Avon river flowing into the sea. There is also a bus on the beach which serves tasty food and drinks.

    This is a very comfortable and attractive living space and would suit a professional person looking for a room that is a home away from home. It is in the heart of the beautiful South Hams and offers stylish contemporary living in the desirable town of Modbury. Small South facing garden with sunny rooms and safe and secure. Parking available, including locked garage if needed. Modbury has its own Fair which will run from 5th to 13th May with a whole week of activities. This house can also accommodate a couple as the bedroom is a double room with large wardrobe. There is a private bathroom with bath and shower. All facilities available including washing machine, tumble drier, dish washer, ironing facilities, towels and bedding.
    The neighbourhood is largely professional. It is quiet in the evenings and at weekends and it is a quick ten minute walk into the heart of Modbury town where there are 3 thriving pubs, an Indian and Chinese restaurant, bistro, post office, GP surgery, pharmacist, barber shop and hairdresser. There are also individual specialist shops plus a small Co-op store. There is also a thriving church.

Apartament jest bardzo pięknie i starannie urządzony i urządzony, z pięknymi akcentami, takimi jak czekające na nas ciasto cytrynowe, ekspres do kawy Tassimo, który zachwycił moją córkę, a także duży wybór sprzętu plażowego, gier planszowych, filmów i książek. Widoki na wyspę Burgh są oszałamiające, co za przyjemność patrzeć przez okno i zobaczyć fale tak blisko okna oraz niesamowite tło hotelu Burgh Island i dziwacznego ciągnika morskiego jadącego na wyspę i z wyspy. Mój partner i ja właśnie wróciliśmy z tygodniowego pobytu tutaj i oboje ustaliliśmy, że jest to najlepsze miejsce, w jakim kiedykolwiek przebywaliśmy - w rzeczywistości było tak wiele „najlepszych rzeczy” na temat tego urlopu i mieszkania, że trudno jest wiedzieć Gdzie zacząć. Komunikacja od gospodarzy była jasna, terminowa i przyjazna - dali nam znać ważne rzeczy i sprawdzili, że jesteśmy zadowoleni z naszego pobytu bez bycia OTT. Zostaliśmy przywitani najlepszym ciastem, które mój partner lub ja kiedykolwiek próbowałem po przyjeździe do mieszkania (jeden z wielu uroczych drobiazgów) i, nie mówię tego lekko, ale widoki przerosły ciasto! Przez cały tydzień nie mogliśmy przeoczyć niesamowitego widoku na morze, wyspę i plażę, a ponadto balkon z widokiem na to wszystko było niebem. Udogodnienia były fantastyczne i dobra kawa (z ekspresu) lub koktajl na balkonie stał się ulubionym początkiem dnia, a 2 wspaniałe prysznice z lasów deszczowych również pomogły nam przygotować dzień. Kiedy udało nam się odciągnąć od mieszkania, plaża (dosłownie poza blokiem) była w porządku, złoty piasek z krystalicznie czystą wodą i jak najlepiej wykorzystaliśmy lokalne udogodnienia, które znajdowały się w odległości kilku metrów od apartamentu, w tym sporty wodne wypożyczalnia sprzętu, 3 kawiarnie, sklep na plaży i pub .... och, no i ciągnik morski, aby dostać się na wyspę (tam, gdzie jest pub), kiedy przypływ się skończy. Ideal location for hiking and walking (dog friendly beach). Surfing (www.discoverysurf.com), canoeing, golf (www.bigburygolfclub.co.uk) are less than 10 minutes by car. Close to Bigbuly-on-Sea, Burgh Island, Salcombe and Dartmouth.
    Idillic country cottage in unspoilt Devon village. 7 minutes walk down a foot path to a secluded National Trust beach. Comfortable, warm and decorated with care. Please note that, there is a king size bed in the bedroom and the other bed is a double sofa bed in the sitting-room. There is an option to use the garden room instead of the sofa and this has a very comfy double bed but there are no en suite facilities for this room. You just let us know when booking but we only take 4 people.

This is a true find just one stay and you will be in love with the huge expanse of sky, the peace, the air, the scenery and wildlife. The beach is popular for all the fun it offers - water sports, rock pooling, safe swimming. Kayaks & stand up paddle boards can be hired. The Beach House cafe is a hidden treasure, serving daytime snacks and dinners and full English breakfasts during the summer months. This area is very popular for birdwatching as the wet lands attract rare sightings. Horses and cows graze in the meadow - idyllic. Just relax and breathe and enjoy! Please note that we don’t currently offer bedding or towels, and so our price reflects guests bringing their own.

A sunny courtyard garden completes this property making it an ideal residence for your relaxing stay in South Devon. Dogs are welcome by prior approval.
    Light and airy throughout the cottage, downstairs is an open plan lounge and kitchen space. Fully equipped for home cooking with a dishwasher and large fridge/freezer, the space also boasts a 50" SMART TV with unlimited WIFI access and complimentary NETFLIX included. A kitchen island with stools provides a quirky eating area, with a smoothie maker and Tassimo coffee machine for your daily fix. A washing machine, iron and ironing board, airer and outside washing line are also available for your use. Situated on the first floor is an open plan bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It has direct access to the bathroom. The bathroom boasts a bath with shower mixer taps as well as a separate shower, toilet and sink. Guest towels, essential toiletries and a hairdryer are provided for your use. Up a further flight of narrow but quirky wooden steps is the second double bedroom located in the eaves of the loft conversion. Period beams and sky windows make this space a treat to stay in. Bedside tables and an end of bed bench provide storage for your stay. Please note there are no electrical sockets in the loft room and there are some height restrictions in the eaves. Please note access to the bathroom and loft room is via the open plan bedroom on the first floor. There is a courtyard garden to the rear of the property with an outside hose pipe and washing line. There are gates separating it from a property at the rear and next doors garden. There is flexibility with check-in and check-out times thanks to a key safe system installed. Well behaved dogs are welcome for a small extra charge. £10 per dog for entire length of stay. Maximum of 2 dogs. Please inform us upon booking if you will be bringing your four legged friend! Please note both sets of stairs are wooden and can be difficult to navigate for the elderly or guests with mobility difficulties. Children are welcome, infants also welcome but please bear in mind there are no stair gates or cots provided. There is no allocated parking space, instead on the street parking is on a first come first served basis and runs along the length of Brownston Street. The property is situated in the middle of Brownston Street. A public pay and display car park is available in Modbury centre and is reasonably priced.
    The Georgian market town of Modbury is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty surrounded by the rugged splendour of Dartmoor and the sandy dunes of the South Devon beaches less than 5 miles away. The town is well equipped with many independent food, art and gift shops along with warm inviting inns and restaurants. A well stocked Co-Op food shop is just a short stroll away, open 7 days a week from early until 10pm. Go on an adventure and explore the South West coast path, one way taking you to the secluded Ayrmer cove, the other to Bigbury on sea and Burgh island.
    Pentillie is a fairly new build with good disabled access. there is a slope to the front door and everything is on one level with larger door frames. there is one step out onto the patio and a further few steps down to the decking. For access to the cliff path from the back gate there are five slightly deeper steps with a handrail. Key safe check in. The bungalow has been set up for your comfort and functionality, all storage in the house is for you to store your belongings in. The rooms comprise of: A large master bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe, chest of draws and bedside tables. A twin room with two single beds, wardrobe, chest of draws and bedside table. Bathroom with toilet, sink and a bath with shower unit. A few bathroom essentials will be provided. A separate toilet room with sink. A fully equipped cosy country style kitchen with washing machine. A good sized open plan lounge and dinning room with large double sliding glass doors leading to the patio and BBQ area. Even the views of the bay sat on the sofa are amazing. Full use of the Smart TV and WIFI. One well behaved dog is welcome but is not allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms. The garden is enclosed. There are lots of dog friendly beaches nearby in low season, and a walk / short drive away in high season. You will be provided with a welcome pack giving you all the information you need about the bungalow and surrounding area. Using our knowledge of the area having lived here for 15 years we have put together some local walking guides so you can get the best out of this breathtaking area of Devon. Alongside this we will gift you a hamper of delicious seasonal local produce.
    there is a local shop about 100m away for all your daily items. Challaborough bay holiday park clubhouse is about 80 m away where they have a restaurant and bar on the beach front. There is a surf shop where you can hire kayaks, surf equipment and even get surf lessons. You can also buy a day pass for the swimming pool and gym for £4 adult and £2 child (swimming pool only). Nearby there is a fish and chip shop.

The beautiful chestnut wood flooring originally came from trees on the farm and there is a gorgeous wood-burning stove – perfect for a relaxing winter’s night! The kitchen has a brand new shaker style kitchen with stone worktops and the original slate floor gives a true farmhouse feel. There is also an extendable table that seats 6 in comfort. At the back of the cottage there is a large shower & utility room with a shower, toilet, sink and a washer/dryer. Upstairs, the king-sized bedroom has a washbasin and a large sash window with stunning views over the surrounding fields and woodland. There is also a cosy twin room and another slightly smaller room with full size bunk beds. The family bathroom on this floor has been totally renovated in 2019 and has a bath with rainfall shower over. Here you can soak away your cares, or just soak your tired and sandy children after a day spent rock pooling on the beach… The back door leads out into a sunny, secure garden with a large patio and garden furniture. There is a also Weber charcoal barbecue for you to use on sunny summer evenings. There is a gate through to our lovely wildflower meadow and children’s play area – complete with tractor! As well as the woodburner, Shepherd’s Cottage is centrally heated and has all the standard facilities that we offer. There is a telephone for incoming and emergency calls and free internet (not fast, but fine for browsing and emails). 100% cotton white bed linen and big fluffy towels are all provided, as well as tea-towels, bath mats and environmentally friendly cleaning materials.     A very peaceful, rural location - with just a farm track passing the house. Surrounded by our fields, with the South Devon Coast just a couple of minutes walk away it is a perfect location for a totally get away from it all holiday. In the heart of the South Hams in Devon, Shepherds Cottage is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and the coastal path is right on the doorstep, providing stunning walks that lead to quiet beaches and picturesque villages. Shepherds Cottage is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an exceptional variety of wildlife and plants, including some extremely rare species that are encouraged because the farm is organic. Carswell Farm is one of the few places in the country where you could spot a cirl bunting and there is a pair of faithful Peregrine Falcons who nest on the cliff here every year. We have an abundance of wildlife – hares, bats and badgers are just a few of the residents you are sure to see, and many more besides. We have barn owls and little owls residing in the old barns behind Lambside House – walk down the farm lane and see if you can see them out hunting. The remote wilderness of Dartmoor dominates the views to the north and is just a short drive away, while the beautiful estuary of the River Erme and Mothecombe beach are also only a couple of miles from here. With 130 acres of sand at low tide, many well known productions – like ‘Sense and Sensibility’ and ‘Hornblower’ have been filmed in this stunning location. Explore the nearby picturesque towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe, visit the historic maritime city of Plymouth to see where the Mayflower set sail to America or enjoy a visit to the famous National Marine Aquarium.

    This tranquil spot is shared with owls, wigeons, a heron, and lots of other wildlife, sitting close to stunning beaches and coastal footpaths as well as dramatic walking on Dartmoor. Bistro pubs abound in Plymouth and local villages.

    Our spacious family home is close to the beach and has beautiful views over the estuary. Bigbury is the perfect location for a beach holiday in Devon. The expansive sandy beach is just a walk away and plenty of water sports are on offer.
    Guests would have a good sized double room with a king sized bed (and space for a travel cot if needed). There is an en-suite shower room with a large shower, and a walk in wardrobe area too. Breakfast will be a informal meal, with a choice of cereals, bread, toast etc. Other options may be available by arrangement.
    Bigbury has a very popular beach and gets very busy in the summer. Our house is at the top of Folly Hill in Bigbury on Sea so it is away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to walk to the beach (down a steep hill). We also have access to a footpath running down a farm field to Cockle Ridge which is a beautiful quiet beach on the side of the river mouth.

    Ideally located near to the town and it's local pubs, restaurants, shops and estuary walks. Myrtle Court offers cottage style accomodation. The lounge/dining room has low beamed ceilings but all other rooms areas are full height. Your room is a good sized double with ample dressing and storage space. With key access to your room, you have peace of mind and privacy.
    Kingsbridge is a pretty and active community town in the lowest part of Devonshire. An area of outstanding beauty and set around the top of Kingsbridge estuary it has numerous attractions especially for those who love being by and on the water. In the early morning head east to Torcross 9 miles away and watch the sunrise over the beach and travel along Slapton Ley. In the evening head out to South Milton Sands 3.5 miles away and watch the sunset, have a barbeque and an evening walk or swim. The South Hams penninsular has much to offer.

    Townsend Barn has been converted into a well equipped 2 bedroom holiday cottage offering an ideal base for a couple or a couple with a baby. Private parking is available but for one car. The barn is detached and sits at the foot of the owner’s garden with private access and ample outside seating and eating space to enjoy. Free Wi-fi access is provided.
    The cottage offers a fantastic base for exploring the South Hams. Downstairs is an open plan kitchen /living space with a well equipped, thoughtfully presented kitchen area and cosy seating area for watching TV, or playing board games. A Nespresso machine is provided for guests use. There is also a small dining area and a separate cloakroom. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor which has a comfortable double bedroom with a view over the garden and beyond towards Hope Cove and a single room with a cot. There is a modern shower room with sink and toilet. Outside seating is provided.
    The cottage sits in the pretty village of Galmpton, nestling amidst beautiful South Devon rolling countryside. Hope Cove, a mile away, is a former fishing village and now home to lovely pubs and restaurants plus beaches and walks across stunning cliffs, with access to the SW Coast Path. Malborough lies a mile and a quarter away in the other direction, boasting 2 pubs, a petrol station and a well stocked convenience store. Less than 4 miles is Salcombe, famous as a sailing centre, a beautiful estuary and harbour. with spectacular walks over National Trust headlands with many beaches and coves. There is a stunning golf course 3 miles away at Thurlestone. The bustling market town of Kingsbridge with shops, cinema and leisure centre is 3 miles away. Walks to Hope Cove, the wonderful South Milton Beach, Soar Mill Cove, and Salcombe can all be started from Townsend without the need to start the car.

    Uniquely situated to visit all the South Hams beaches, towns and villages, private and secluded but not remote. A 10 minute walk from The Hut up the lane will take you to the main road where you can catch a direct bus to Dartmouth along the stunning coast line passing through Slapton, Strete, Stoke Fleming and Blackpool Sands. At the top of this lane also is the Church House inn – a 13th century former monks’ house with a great selection of food and wines. Other dining options nearby include The Oyster Shack, The Sloop at Bantham, Britannia Shack at Beesands, The Crabshell in Kingsbridge as well as other excellent eating places in Salcombe and Dartmouth. The Hut has a fully made-up double bed with a pocket spring mattress and duck down quilt and pillows for a comfy and cosy night. The bed just folds up against the wall to reveal a generous living space with table and benches. The toilet/shower room is plumbed in with a “proper” toilet and shower. The well-equipped kitchen unit incorporates a 2 ring hob, combination oven, microwave and grill, a small fridge and sink, [as well as crockery, cutlery, glasses, toaster, kettle etc.]. The wood-burner offers additional heat and cosiness if required in cooler months. Set in the corner of a large 5 acre plot The Hut is totally private and away from the owners’ accommodation. Ample parking [a short walk along a path] is provided as is a useful storage shed next to The Hut to maximise your space inside. The Hut now has it's own hot tub, which is perfectly situated to enjoy a tipple whilst enjoying spectacular views across open countryside to Dartmoor. As well as the hot tub, outside The Hut is plenty of space to unwind with lounger chairs, picnic table and chimenea. There is ample room to pitch a tent for additional guests by [small extra cost by arrangement] but please note there are no other toilet or shower facilities available.
    This is a beautiful place to live, a gem we found a few years ago and have gradually been transforming into our forever home. We love the combination of privacy with rural living and proximity to the wonderful South Hams places, events and culture. Waking up to gorgeous views, listening to the birds and countryside noises is bliss.

The van is centrally located, with a flat short walk to all amenities, including the beach. Located on a very secluded parkdean site. There is swimming pool, play park, launderette, take away, restaurant and clubhouse with evening entertainment and kids clubs available on sit (extra charges for these may apply).
    The price includes gas, electric and water rates. However, we are unable to provide towels and bed linen (Pillows and duvets ARE provided). Entertainment passes are also not included in the price, but can be purchased for a small fee on arrival.
    Burgh Island is accessible by foot when the tide is out, or by sea bus/tractor if the tide is in. Aymer cove is also only a short beautiful coastal walk away.

Dartmoor National Park on the edge of Ivybridge is ideally located in the countryside, yet within easy access of all main routes. The city of Plymouth is just a short drive away. Bird watching, horse riding, golf and fishing can all be found locally and Mothecombe Beach is just 4 miles away. Shop 2½ miles, pub 400 yards and restaurant 200 yards.
    The cottage is 2 bedroom with a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and dining room. It has a small enclosed garden with outdoor table and chairs. It has been tastefully decorated with quality furniture, Egyptian cotton bedlinen and towels, and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The lounge has a woodburning stove with a complimentary basket of wood (Oct - May) , and a Smart TV with a complimentary Netflix account. The cottage has a good speed Broadband suitable for working from home if required. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge and dishwasher, and there is a washer/dryer and freezer in the utility. For warmer days, there are beach essentials; towels, chairs and picnic rug, plus outside garden furniture, parasol and a BBQ. Bedroom 1 : King size bed sleeps 2 Bedroom 2 : Twin single beds sleeps 2 The garden is enclosed and reasonably secure for most dogs, but those with canine escape artists are advised to supervise their dogs whilst outside. There is a small public field right opposite the cottage for little walks.
    Ermington is a small Devon village, with a pub, a bistro and village shop within walking distance. The nearest beach is 4 miles away at Mothecombe Beach. There are several more beautiful beaches all within 15 miles depending on whether you want a sandy beach or want to go rockpooling. Ivybridge for bigger shops and supermarkets is 3 miles away

    Langmans Bothy is a self contained and detached converted barn with a bedroom, shower room with loo and a living area which includes a sofa, TV, WiFi internet and a small kitchen area with a kitchen in a cupboard which contains a fridge, two ring hob and sink, and separate combi oven. There is a south facing terrace with a table and two chairs. It is within walking distance of beautiful Bantham beach.
    The living area has a sofa, coffee table, television, dining table and two chairs and a kitchen area. The 'kitchen' is a purpose made kitchen in a cupboard in the living area containing a two ring electric hob, fridge, sink and storage facilities. A good range of cooking utensils are provided. There is also a separate combi microwave/oven, toaster and kettle. There is a bedroom with double bed, built in wardrobe and chest of drawers. We provide cotton bed linen and good quality white towels. The shower room leads from the bedroom and has a walk in shower, basin and loo.
    West Buckland is a hamlet which is 10 minutes walk from Bantham, where there is a shop and a pub. The beach is a further 10 minutes walk from Bantham and has a large car park for which there is a charge for much of the year. There is surfing at the beach and sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding in the Avon estuary. Thurlestone is a 15 minute walk away and has a shop, pub, hotel, and golf course with tennis courts.

    Our family run, high quality b&b has comfortable en-suite rooms which can be either twin or king size double rooms. Each room accommodates up to two people (children must be 12 or over), has free high speed Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV with Freeview, a hairdryer and of course tea & coffee making facilities (nb : fresh milk is always available). We also provide a fridge for guest use, ironing facilities are also available on request.
    Guests have the option of using the guest breakfast/dining room which has views over the valley towards Galmpton and is often bathed in morning sunshine. Please note a hearty breakfast is available on request, is optional and charged at £10 pppd and is not included in the price quoted.
    We are located in the centre of Outer Hope and less than a 5 minute flat walk to the beach. Hope Cove is a beautiful Devon village, with lovely thatched cottages and safe, unspoilt beaches patrolled by RNLA lifeguards during the summer. Two pubs, the Hope & Anchor and the award winning Cove Bar, plus the village shop/post office are conveniently close by, as are a number of other places to get an evening meal. The beautiful South West Coast Path is just a few strides away. The path is a designated National Trail providing some of the finest walking routes in Britain. To quote the SWCP website “The section from Hope Cove to Salcombe is thought by many to be one of the most beautiful sections of the entire 630 miles of the path”. Hope Cove has two lovely beaches (less than 5 minutes walk away). Other local beaches include Thurlestone Sands (a 30 minute walk or a 10 minute drive), Salcombe is also only 10 minutes away and has the lovely Mill Bay/Sunny Cove. Bantham and Bigbury (along with the stunning Burgh Island) are about 25 minutes away and well worth a visit. We are also conveniently situated for the towns of Kingsbridge and Dartmouth, the award winning Blackpool Sands is also just a short drive away. In addition, a number of National Trust properties are reasonably close, namely Overbecks, Coleton Fishacre, Buckland Abbey and Saltram House.
