  • Sally była świetna przez cały nasz pobyt, będąc tam, aby nas powitać i pokazać nam nasz pokój. Chętnie polecała takie miejsca do odwiedzenia / jedzenia i chętnie pomagała wszędzie.

Nasze pokoje były czyste i wygodne. Dzięki Sally.

  • Miejsce Sally było bardzo małe. Jest to piękny domek z dwiema sypialniami i małym dodatkowym akcentem, takim jak tosty, płatki śniadaniowe i zestaw do parzenia kawy i herbaty. To urocze małe miejsce na weekendowy pobyt. Ścieżka z boku prowadzi na miły spacer na plażę, a następnie z powrotem do miasta. Dziękuję Sally.

Everything is within reach inside this charming shepherds hut with french doors, knotty wood floors, and an arched ceiling. A wood-burning stove adds warmth to an enchanting interior, while a deck patio offers choice views of the Cornish countryside.
Lowenna means tranquility in Cornish and that's what staying here is all about. She is fully kitted out for a comfortable stay with a neat little bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, an outside barbeque area and the snuggiest of beds! If you want a real "glamping" experience without the inconvenience of outside bathrooms and shared showers then this is for you! Families with adventurous children who are happy to sleep in a tent are welcome to pitch their tent next to Lowenna in the garden. If you would like to consider this then let me know. Dogs are very welcome so long as their owners are well behaved! I have a very gentle and sweet natured Springer Spaniel and an old cat who copes well with dogs! There is even a dog bed especially for visiting pooches! I also have a luxury double room (see my other listing) and a twin bedded room in the main house if you want to come with friends or make up a group booking.
St Veep is a little hamlet situated about a mile above the riverside village of Lerryn. The nearby town of Lostwithiel has a supermarket, restaurants, antique shops, and little boutiques. The ancient harbour town of Fowey just across the estuary, has top class restaurants. Here you can sit and watch the colourful sailing boats whilst enjoying the famous Fowey river mussels!

  • Cudowne zakwaterowanie!

Other items in the room include; Touch lamp on bed side cabinet, television with Freeview, hairdryer, iron & ironing Board, oversized king-sized light weight duvet and four pillows. The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and is used only by this room, it has a toilet, basin and bath with shower over, also in the bath room you will find the following; Bath towel, hand towel, flannel, bath mat, shampoo, conditioner & toilet roll. It is a modern semi-detached three-bedroom house positioned at the end of the close and subsequently has a calm and relaxing feel to it, the house is clean, tidy and well-presented and I am very lucky to have lovely neighbours. I live here with my three cats, Josie, Tilly & Teddy who are naturally convinced that they are in charge and subsequently roam freely (please keep your doors closed if you don't want to have guests of your own). There is a well-equipped kitchen if you wish to prepare any meals – just be sure to load the dishwasher and try to be finished by ten so that I can get my beauty sleep! Opposite the house is a dedicated private and off-road drive for you to park a car. The back garden is split over two levels, please feel free to make use of the top level where you’ll find a selection of garden furniture available on the lawn. Please feel free to use the sitting room during the working week days, I do reserve this to myself for the evening and weekends though. House requests Other than respecting the non-smoking policy please just be mindful of the time and noise levels within the house after 10pm If you wish to stay up chatting after this then the conservatory off the kitchen is a great relaxed place for this.
The house is built on a recent housing development in Par, Par is a village and fishing port with a harbour on the south Cornish coast set between Charlestown and Fowey.

Ideal for undisturbed relaxation, in a huge garden in the centre of Tywardreath, 2 minutes from village shop, fish and chip shop, church and pub, 3 minutes from the local bus stop, and within walking distance of Par railway station, the beach and the coastal path. It is located in an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty. The Kitchen area has kettle, toaster microwave, cafetiere, crockery and cutlery. tea coffee and biscuits. Guests have access to the outhouse - en route to the Chalet - which houses a large fridge-freezer - where organic milk, bread, butter orange juice jam/marmalade and ground coffee are provided free.
Tywardreath is a very old village with lots of history, its name, translated from the Cornish, means 'house on the strand' - the title of one of Daphne du Maurier's novels. I could bore you with lots more on this subject :-). The village is a short distance uphill from the National Coast Path, the nearest beach (Par beach) - is very wide and has a large (paying) car park, dunes, a cafe, a pub at the entrance (The Ship), good, fine sand; gently sloping to the sea - so safe for young children. The water is very clean. The views are exceptional. Par has a post office, several pubs and shops, a small Co-op supermarket, library, bike hire and railway station - 15 minutes walk from the house. The Eden Project is 20 minutes by car.

This is a cosy cottage, in the heart of Fowey, a beautiful Cornish town. Just a few minutes walk from Fowey's restaurants, shops and pubs and opposite a long stay car park, with easy access to the Bodinnick Ferry for Looe and Polperro and just 15 minutes from the world famous Eden project. Please be aware that the cottage is two hundred years old and has low door frames, arches and steep stairs with small steps. Also the steps to the decking at the rear are steep and not child friendly.
This is a 200 year old renovated cottage close to the town centre, with an outdoor patio giving you views over the River Fowey. Right next to Caffa Mill car park, which takes you over to Bodinnick for the Hall Walk or onto Looe and Polperro.
Fowey is an ancient town but is also a working port. It's colourful history involves pirates and French invasions and it remains a vibrant town today. We are lucky to have many independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants which make the town centre, a few minutes walk away, a lovely place to spend time, as well as a Town Quay as a central space.

The Old Carriage Works is a split level apartment in the magnificent grade 2 listed building originally designed by Brunel. It nestles alongside the upper tidal reaches of the Fowey River which flows past the property. The apartment itself has retained many character features including high ceilings and granite walls while maintaining an air of modern luxury.
The Old Carriage Works is part of a railway building originally constructed in the 1860s and designed by Brunel himself, the exposed stonewalling, high arched windows and industrial timber beams add to the timeless grace of the renovation. However inside all modern conveniences are catered for with a superbly well equipped kitchen and tasteful decor and furnishings through out.On one side of the Old Carriage Works the Fowey river trickles through the shallows and ducks paddle calmly through the dappled water, on the other side is the railway line and Lostwithiel Station. The station provides an opportunity to visit some of Cornwall's key towns (including Penzance, St Ives, Falmouth and many others) without the need to take your car. You can also travel direct to Lostwithiel from London. As a stannary town Lostwithiel is one of Cornwall's hidden gems with a wonderful atmosphere but also close to the Eden Project and the stunning south coast towns of Fowey, Looe and Polperro.AccommodationSituated on the first and second floors of the building the apartment is on split levelsLower Level: Enter into hallway with doors leading to: Kitchen with fully fitted units. For those wishing to visit the delights of places such as The Eden Project, Charlestown and Fowey, this is the area for you, located on the Eastern side of St Austell. With large attractions such as the Eden Project on the outskirts of St Austell, The Lost Gardens of Heligan towards Mevagissey, and Lanhydrock National Trust House & Gardens a short drive inland it provides an ideal base for your travels. The coastal town of Fowey is a simple drive to the coast past the China Clay port of Par, offering fabulous restaurants, galleries and gift shops. Daphne du Maurier spent her later years in properties in and around Fowey.Just over the hill from Eden Valley lies the ancient stannary town of Lostwithiel, Cornwall's hidden treasure, nestling in the Fowey River valley and overlooked by the 12th century Restormel Castle. This ancient town with its quaint old buildings is full of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, centering around St Bartholomew church which dates back to before 1170. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside with the Fowey Rover meandering through the centre of the town. St Austell was once the major producer of the world's China Clay; now with cheaper foreign imports, the industry is in decline but The Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum set in two former working pits depicts the countryside in years gone by. Wet weather activities could include the visitor centre at St Austell Brewery, sampling beers and ales made on the premises. The Eden Project hosts many bands throughout the season as well as featuring an Ice Rink out of season.Bodmin was the former county town of Cornwall for many years and the only Cornish town to be recorded in the Domesday Book, which was lodged in the town's prison during the First World War. The county prison is now a museum and open to the public. It was the first prison in the country to have separate cells. The oldest part of the town is made up of mainly granite buildings clustered around the Bodmin Beacon. The Beacon is a 144 feet tall obelisk in memory of Sir Walter Raleigh Gilbert. The area around the Beacon which has woodland and traditional hay meadow was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 1994. At Tregullon you are just 10 miles away from The Eden Project and 2 miles away from the National Trust's amazing Lanhydrock House.Nearby Bodmin Moor, bisected by the newly expanded A30, is home to one of Cornwall's Areas of Oustanding Natural Beauty, reaching a height of 1,377 feet above sea level at Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest point. The heather covered granite moorland provides East Cornwall with the most stunning country views and rugged walks. Near Blisland you will find two of Cornwall's stone circles, the Trippet Stones and Stripple Stone Henge and just round the corner, one end of the famous Camel Trail. The 18 mile Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic free paths, providing a fairly flat cycle through Bodmin and Wadebridge out to Padstow, eminently suitable for families.

An absolutely stunning apartment. Overlooking the whole of Fowey harbour, this beautifully presented apartment offers fabulous views from the living room and kitchen, and provides a flexible bedroom layout for either couples or friends staying in this brilliant waterside location. Just a couple of hundred yards from the Lugger Inn and the town quay at the centre of this quintessential Cornish fishing village.
Located right in the heart of the historic harbour village of Polruan on the eastern side of the Fowey estuary, this completely refurbished and modernised apartment offers amazing views of the whole of Fowey harbour. Polruan itself boasts two pubs, a cafe, a bakery, and a small village shop, and it is just a 4 minute ferry ride across the river to Fowey with its fantastic range of shops, restaurants and pubs. Cornwall of course has many and varied attractions and activities, but, be warned, you may find that with the fantastic beaches, breathtaking scenery, stunning coastal walks, all of the water based activities - harbour tours, sea fishing, kayaking, self-drive motor boats - and so on, that you don't feel much like leaving the Fowey estuary at all! Take particular care when you pause briefly to sit on the window seat in the sitting room of the Captain's Cabin, you could lose a couple of unplanned, but contented, hours just watching and enjoying all of the activity in the harbour. The passenger ferry runs until 11pm from May through to September which makes staying in Polruan and enjoying the delights of Fowey an easy possibility. Your car can be left either in the Polruan car park or in the Fowey Car Park, should you feel like visiting another part of Cornwall, although crossing the estuary is quite easy via the Bodinnick car ferry. The Captain'sCabin itself is on the ground floor of the building with access through a shared entrance. The apartment is all on one level with the living room to the front, enjoying the fantastic view of the harbour through the enormous bay windows. There is a cosy wood burning stove in the living room which makes the apartment super warm when running. The kitchen is in a galley style and also enjoys the views. The bedroom to the rear benefits from a 6' double bed that can be split into two 3' singles if that is your preference for sleeping arrangements. This makes the apartment ideal for just a couple of friends sharing as well as couples. Ground Floor only: Entrance hall, living room, fully fitted kitchen, shower room with WC and bedroom with either a 6' double bed or two 3' single beds.
Polruan is based on the south coast of Cornwall on the river Fowey. It is a small village with only one road in or out. There are two pubs in the village, The Lugger and The Russell Inn, both offer an excellent range of food at very reasonable prices. From the quay you will find a passenger ferry that will take you across to Fowey. The journey taking about 4 minutes. Being built on the side of a hill it has, thankfully not allowed too much expansion and commercialisation and as a result has retained much of its charm. In the main street itself (Fore Street - as you will find in most Cornish villages) you will find the Polruan Stores and Crumpets Cafe, on the Quay is The WinklePicker Shop (which is also the Post Office). There is a fabulous walk around the Fowey Estuary called the "Hall Walk" which takes in both ferries and Pont Pill Creek and offers some fabulous views - this is well worth doing. The coastal path offers breathtaking views and access to some fabulous beaches such as Lansallos and Lantic Bay, two of Cornwall's hidden gems. Just across the estuary is Fowey (pronounced Foy) one of the most iconic places in Cornwall. Like Polruan it is set on the steep banks of the estuary, the narrow streets and alleys are just great to explore and there are numerous small shops and boutiques, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Views of the harbour are dramatic. Life in Polruan and Fowey revolves around the water. The local fishing fleet land the freshest catches and local specialities include mussels, oysters, clams, crab & lobster. Alongside the fantastic beaches there are many other water based activities to get involved in: Harbour tours, sea fishing, kayaking, swimming, self-drive motor boats, I understand there is a picnic boat you can hire... and so on. Life on the water culminates in August with the the Polruan and Fowey Regattas where yacht racing takes place all week. Watch the historic Falmouth Working Boats racing in the close confines of the estuary or enjoy the many landbased festivities around the estuary. There are countless attractions near to the Captain's Cabin including the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House & Gardens, the beautiful Luxulyan Valley and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Par duck ponds & woodland walks link to the Clay trail's long distance cycle paths. For garden lovers there are many open gardens to explore including Marsh villa Garden. You are in the heart of Du Maurier country with many places to find on the literary trail. Consult the guide books & folders in the cottage & explore to your hearts content!

This 'magical' cottage is a modestly priced, entire property, in a wonderful location. Living rooms include a sitting room (with log burner) and a conservatory. From the conservatory there are great views of the boat-filled estuary. There is a large wildlife/woodland garden full of birds and wildlife. Only a short stroll to the local inn and the ferry for a 5 minute trip across the river to the picturesque town of Fowey. Also, the ideal place to watch and unwind without needing to go anywhere.
Jordan Cottage overlooks the Fowey estuary in Cornwall and is in the village of Bodinnick. From the cottage it is only a short stroll down to the ferry to Fowey and also the 17th century Old Ferry Inn, which offers excellent bar and restaurant meals. We positively welcome enquiries so please do message us if you would like more detailed information. Jordan Cottage is set in a location full of choice and opportunity but if you want to keep yourself cottage based and away from people this would be fine as well. Jordan is an ideal place to go in all seasons: Spring comes early to Cornwall and in March is in full swing. In the wildlife garden the banks of primroses and wild daffodils provide nectar for wildlife and add colour to the green of the ferns. The empty beaches and gorse filled cliff walks make it a walkers' delight. It can be cooler in the evenings and then you can light the log burner in the sitting room(with its free supply of kindling and logs). Later, Blackcaps and Whitethroats fill the garden with song and in the evening bats emerge and Tawny Owls can be seen and heard. Summer is a popular time of the year when the beaches and cliff walks are attractive to all. Lantic Bay is on our side of the river is a secluded and spectacular treasure and the area has a good choice of beaches and coves to delight both walkers and swimmers. Fowey has all the attractions of a lively, picturesque town with its many eating places and bustling shops but it can feel crowded in school holiday time, and cars passing through are always annoying, so it's good to be able to escape quickly and easily to the quiet and calm of our side of the estuary. Jordan Cottage's wildlife garden is surrounded by woodland and is a haven for a wide range of birds and butterflies which are abundant. Garden furniture and a barbecue (fuel provided) allow you to make the most of enjoying the outdoors. Fowey also offers a wide range of outdoor activities. You can book boat trips up the river to Lerryn and there is also a ferry to Mevagissey. Fishing trips run from the Town Quay and you can even hire your own boat or opt for an organised kayak adventure up river so that you can get on the water and make the most of the wonderful estuary and river. If you would like any detailed information about dinghy hire please do not hesitate to message us so that we can supply you with contact details before you come and stay and so that a boat will be ready and waiting for you at the start of your holiday. The summer lasts into September and with the schools back it is quieter but everything is still open and the sea is at its warmest. It's worth noting that Saturday to Saturday bookings in September and after are available with a 10% discount. The autumn and winter have their own special charms. The log burner, with a free and ample supply of well seasoned logs, comes into its own and combines with the night storage heaters to ensure that the cottage is always cosy and warm (see reviews). The milder, Cornish weather continues to make walking an attractive option even as winter progresses and there is a charm to a quieter time of year when you can enjoy secluded beaches, cliffs, woodland and moorland walks. Walking in this area is always a pleasure and several excellent walks start on our side of the river, including the celebrated Hall Walk, and a footpath and cliff walk to Lantic Bay. It’s always good to know that at the end of the day you can choose between a hot bath and a shower. Even in poorer weather you can enjoy watching all the river activity and the Cornish views from the comfort of a warm conservatory. From here there are good views of the estuary and the many boats and rowing gigs which use it. There are also the great china clay ships which come in from all over the world to load up with quality, Cornish china clay just opposite the cottage. The conservatory combines a comfortable seating area and a dining area as well so that you can maximise enjoyment of the views in the light. Later on the sitting room with its log burner offers a good choice of comfortable and snug seating. The wide range of books, DVDs and reading material are distinctive features of Jordan Cottage and fibre broadband allows free watching. As well as being a really cosy retreat Jordan Cottage is a great base for visiting Cornwall's many places of interest at any time of the year. The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are particular favourites but there are also many National Trust properties including nearby Lanhydrock House. This spacious single storey building provides very comfortable accommodation for two people. You must obtain our prior consent if you wish to bring one small/medium dog but if you go through this process then there will be no additional charge made. So, please message us if this applies to you. There is one double bedroom and a separate bathroom with a bath, electric shower, wash basin and toilet. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and dish- washer. A washing machine is located in the bathroom. Night storage heaters provide the main heating. The cost of electricity, fuel for the log burner and the supply of towels and bed linen are included in the rent. Designated free parking for one car is provided 15 yards from the property. Jordan Cottage may be unsuitable for some visitors as it is approached by steep steps.
In addition to being a great place to stay Jordan Cottage is also handy for a wide of visits. These include The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. There are also several National Trust properties, including Lanhydrock and Trerice, which are both worth visiting. As well as a fabulous coastline you can also enjoy the inland proximity of Bodmin Moor and the timeless fascination of such places as Dozmary Pool and The Hurlers. Some events in the locality to look out for in 2020 include: 8th to 16th May: Fowey Festival of Art and Literature (Du Maurier Festival) 4th to 6th June: Royal Cornwall Show 18th to 24th August: Fowey Regatta and Carnival

The Crow's Nest offers a stylish and cosy self catering flat with double bed, en suite, fully equipped kitchen and views of the surrounding countryside both inland and towards the coast. This third floor apartment, although part of the hosts home, is completely private and just a short walk from Par Sands. It's finished to a high standard and offers excellent levels of comfort. Susie and Joe are friendly, approachable and happy to assist with local recommendations. Well situated for walkers.
1 bedroom with double bed, toilet with shower and fully equipped kitchen. We are well situated, just a 5 minute walk from Par station and on several bus routes. Only a 3 mile drive away or 50 minute walk is the Eden Project. Beautiful Fowey Harbour is just a ten minute drive or you can enjoy the sea views on the short bus ride. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are also close by. There are several pubs within walking distance and the Coast path and Clay trail meanders past the house so great for walkers. We also have Carlyon golf course on the doorstep. There are local amenities such as a Co-op store and Spar open 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week. A Chinese takeaway and fish and chip shop are also within walking distance. The Crow's Nest makes an ideal base for exploring our stunningly beautiful coastline, small towns and villages.
Just a ten minute drive from Fowey and the Eden project. There are Coffee shops, pubs, a Chinese takeaway and a fish n chip shop plus the beach all within easy walking distance. The coastal path being just twenty yards away and the train station a ten minute walk means we're a convenient place to stay for those on a walking holiday. If you enjoy walking there's a lovely coastal walk to Polkerris with a welcoming pub at the end the Rashleigh Arms Dame Daphne du Maurier (Lady Browning), was an English author and playwright who made this coastline her Cornish home. Just a little further along the coastal path towards Fowey you will walk past a lovely cottage with a lake where she once lived. I'd like to think it was the beach house she spoke of in her novel Rebecca. Another of her books 'House on the Strand' was based in the village of Tywardreath and surrounding area. Why not explore inland and walk one of the many mapped routes, one of our favourite walks is the stunning Luxulyan valley, a twenty minute drive away. Many National Trust houses such as Lanhydrock are also close by however, If you're looking for a more adventurous way to explore from a different view point then we highly recommend one of the stand up paddle (SUP) experiences. You can book lessons, social sups or tasters e.mail: paddlecornwallsup or we can give you details on arrival, it's a great way to explore the river Fowey and it's wildlife. Ask for contact details on booking. If you're a Poldark fan then you can't go home without visiting Charlestown where much of the filming was done. It's a walk back in time and the home to several pubs who serve excellent food and a harbour where you'll see several square rigged ships that are used for filming and training. It's amazing to see them out at sea under full sail and a real treat to watch them negotiate the return to their birth in the harbour

A fresh modern, comfortable apartment with outstanding views across the Cornish country side from all the windows. It is made up of a sitting room, one double bedroom, shower room and kitchenette area. Well behaved pets are welcome.
We are situated on the Lanteglos Highway close to the Ancient harbour town of Fowey. The views from Lanteglos are breathtaking; from the front you can see the National Trust coast near to Lantic Bay’s stunning beach, including Lansallos and Lanteglos Churches and The Gribben Head Day Mark. Look out from the back and there are beautiful views over farmland and hills to Bodmin Moor, Brown Willie and Caradon Hill.

Three Quarter Cottage is a delightful property with plenty of outdoor space, fantastic Estuary views and off road parking. The newly refurbished home is situated in Bodinnick - close to a local Inn and the ferry into Fowey. Enjoying a private position, the house is still close to all the attractions Fowey and Polruan have to offer. The decked area is ideal for lounging or dining where you can relax looking at the views of the Fowey river and countryside beyond.
The master bedroom is a Superking with an en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3 can both be made as either a Superking or Twin.
The cottage is in the small village of Bodinnick, which is connected to Fowey by a ferry across a short space of river. In the village is a wonderful, 400-year-old pub called The Old Ferry Inn. Below is our guide on Fowey. FOOD & DRINK You certainly won’t go hungry while you’re on holiday in Fowey – these are our favourite places to eat out! - Evening Meals: The Quay House Hotel, Fowey Harbour Hotel and King of Prussia - Relaxed and Family Friendly Dining: Sams, The Galleon and Havaeners - Cafés, Lunch and Light Bites: Brown Sugar, Pinky Murphy, The Lifebuoy Café and The Cornish Bakery - Tea Rooms: The Dwelling House and The Well House - International: Pintxo, Sunny Spice and Bufala -Take Home Treats: Haveners Fish & Chips, Kittows Deli and Game of Cones SHOPPING There are several well-loved brand stores in Fowey such as Seasalt, Joules, Fat Face, and Mountain Warehouse. But the real charm of the town lies in the wide range of boutique, unique and independent shops. You can spend hours browsing for clothes, homewares, crafts, glassware, art, antiques, books, seaside knick-knacks, traditional children’s toys and don't forget the old-fashioned sweet shop! There are also top-quality bakeries where you can find bread, rolls, pasties, cakes and treats. There may be no large supermarket, but with two local convenience stores and a Boots, you'll still find everything you need. There is a Co-op around 5 miles away, Asda and Tesco are around 7 miles, and all the major supermarkets will deliver online shopping as well. THINGS TO SEE & DO Fowey is an estuary river town, so the obvious thing to do is spend a day messing about on the water! There are many kayak, canoe, and boat hire centres that go from both Quays. If you don’t have the strongest sea legs, then why not just take the passenger ferry over to Polruan for an afternoon! If you fancy going a little further, you can take the ferry round to Mevagissey too. In the centre of Fowey there is a sweet little aquarium, and a local museum – both are worth a peek! Fowey has a 14th century church in the centre of the town and a 15th century fort, St. Catherine’s Castle, on the edge of the estuary. The closest beach to town is Readymoney Cove, which has clean sands and is perfect for swimming. A swimming platform is moored off the beach during the summer months. There is also a fabulous little shop for all your seaside needs. However, no dogs are allowed between Easter and October. There is a secret sea-pool hidden away at Whitehouse Pier which is perfect for a refreshing paddle while looking out over the estuary. It can only be found at certain times, so check those tide times! Within a 5/10-minute drive, you can be at Polridmouth, Polkerris or Par Sands, and within a half hour drive you’ll find Carlyon Bay, Charlestown, Porthpean, Pentewan or Mevagissey. An hour’s drive and you are on the north coast of Cornwall – this is where you will find the more dramatic views, coastline and good surfing on some of the beaches. Bit of a thrill seeker? Then Cornwall has some fantastic opportunities to get your adrenaline buzz! Hang Loose at Eden have zip wires and giant air swings, Adrenaline Quarry near Liskeard is perfect for a day full of crazy activities, and Retallack Watersports near Newquay is the place to head for total-wipeout style aqua adventures. There are hundreds of miles of fantastic walks in Cornwall. The South West Coastal Path alone winds 630 miles around the county, and The Saints Way is 27 miles from Fowey on the south coast, right across to Padstow on the north coast. The Fowey Hall Walk is much more manageable at 4 miles and is the best way to see Fowey from all angles! We also particularly enjoy the Gribbin Head walk, especially when the Daymark is open in the summer. Whether you enjoy the sea, woods, rivers, moors or fields, you will not be disappointed with the walks in Cornwall. The closest major attractions are The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. They really do offer something for everyone and make an enjoyable day-trip. For green-fingered travellers, there are also many other great gardens; in fact, there are officially 12 Great Gardens of Cornwall! Cornwall is very famous for its tin mining heritage, and you will see many old engine houses dotted across the landscape. The countryside directly surrounding Fowey and St Austell is locally known as Clay Country due to its abundance of China Clay. Wheal Martyn is an interesting museum that gives a good insight into the history and culture of the clay works, and if you take the walk to the top of the grounds it overlooks a modern working pit. There are lots of National Trust and English Heritage sites across Cornwall, as well as stately homes and gardens. Some of our local favourites are Lanhydrock House, Pencarrow House, Restormel Castle and Caerhays Estate. Thinking of bringing your 4-legged friend to Fowey? They will love it! Par Sands Beach and Polridmouth Cove are only a few minutes away and are dog-friendly all year round; Readymoney Cove in town allows them to play from October to Easter. Many of the pubs are pup-friendly, and Lazy Jacks even sell doggy ice cream! Sams on the Beach at Polkerris have a Waggy Wednesday during the winter, when you can take your dog for dinner followed by a walk on the beach – special pet friendly treats are on offer too. If you’re looking for somewhere just for the kids, check out Camel Creek, Springfields, Dairyland, Kidzworld, Indoor Active, Newquay Zoo or Porfell Wildlife Centre. This is just small selection of the many dozens of places for families to visit! Pop into our office during your stay to pick up our “best days out” pack, full of leaflets and vouchers. Don’t forget to follow Fowey Homes Holidays on social media for inspiration on days out. When booking your trip with us, please feel free to ask for some personal recommendations - we’d love to help you discover the real hidden gems of Cornwall and get the most of out of your time in beautiful Fowey.

Welcome to our home. A cosy single en suit room overlooking quiet garden.Delicious breakfast in our sunny kitchen. Set in the heart of old Cornish village with stunning views of ocean and river, 2 pubs & wonderful coastal walks to wild beaches. Ideal base for visiting the Eden Project.
Cosy and perfect for some one traveling on their own, overlooking a quiet garden. Price includes delicious breakfast. We do have a dog but she is not allowed upstairs or around the guests at breakfast time.
Polruan is situated at the mouth of the Fowey River accessed by small country roads. From the top of the hill on one side you can look down to the harbour and across to Fowey or turn around and look out to sea. In the summer there are often sailing boats to watch. The village has little narrow streets to explore and is on the South West Coast path. Polruan is a lovely place to relax especially sitting on the quay watching the comings and goings on the river, with occasional dolphin sightings.
