A gloriously unique and quirky bijou bolt hole, right over the sea! Relax in summer to the sound of the gentle clinking of the yacht masts or watch the waves break over the harbour wall during autumn and winter-The Harbour Hut has year round appeal. With direct access to the beach and the iconic Seven Sisters, a host of restaurants and amenities at the Marina and easy walking distance to Brighton Pier. Double deck chair for sunsets, fluffy robes, Christy Towels and an honesty Gin Bar included!
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE SECTION CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING: Firstly, if The Harbour Hut is booked for the dates you require, please see our listing for The Sea Shack, which is our brand new sister property a few doors down in the same location and is another floating tiny house :) The Harbour Hut and The Sea Shack are not located smack bang in central Brighton, they are at Brighton Marina, which is just outside the main city centre, but easy walking distance (around 30 minutes, depending on how fast you walk!) with good transport links. Please make sure you understand this before booking. The whole, beautifully unique space is yours! The Harbour Hut has a mezzanine bedroom with a beautiful copper framed bed and luxury EVEsleep mattress (due to the quirky nature of the building the ceiling upstairs slopes dramatically on one side and the stairs are quite steep and narrow with open treads and no handrail, so take care after a G&T or two!). There's a John Lewis sofa bed that comfortably sleeps 1 extra person; an open plan living room, kitchenette with Dualit mini oven and induction hob (although with so many scrummy places to eat right on your doorstep, you really don’t need to cook!) dining space with bar stools, modern shower room and a glorious, private outdoor sun deck where you can watch the boats go by and soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful spot. There is a Sony HD Smart TV, hairdryer and a glorious vintage antique radio as well as piles of extra blankets for snuggling up inside or out! In the depths of winter it’s wonderful watching the waves crash over the harbour wall while you are safely cocooned in a cosy jumper and pair of fluffy socks, hot chocolate (or G&T!) in hand and a game of Scrabble or Monopoly on the go! And of course in the summer there really is no nicer place to be on than in our double deck chair, watching the sunset with....a G&T (did we mention that we have a Gin Bar, stocked full of Craft Gins and famous names and different Fevertree Tonics, as well as books and magazines about Gin-we love gin at The Harbour Hut!). Farrow & Ball Down Pipe paint is combined with copper accents and luxury driftwood wallpaper, so you'll feel like you're staying somewhere bang on-trend like The Malmaison, but with much more space and quirky personality (this is a FLOATING home, over the water!). There is a Bluetooth speaker and a picnic blanket for heading to the beach or one of the many stunning parks (The Seven Sisters and Ditchling Beacon are literally minutes away!) if the weather is compliant! There is a laundrette beneath The Harbour Hut and free parking at the multi-storey Marina car park (a few minutes walk from The Harbour Hut-PARKING IS NOT DIRECTLY OUTSIDE it is a good few minutes walk away). IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE that due to the property being directly over the water, it is unsuitable for young children. Although not an outright boat, it is a floating home and can therefore move a little at high tide or if it is very stormy. The stairs are also quite narrow and steep up to the mezzanine bedroom, with open treads, no handrail or 'side' so please do contact us if this raises any concerns, as we have other properties that may be more suitable (The Annex in Cuckfield and Marina Luxe, Brighton Marina). You’ll need to watch your head if you are very tall and the bathroom has a compact, corner cubicle shower. It’s the nature of the buildings and part of the unique charm, but please do bear this information in mind when booking. Parking is also not directly outside, it is around a 5 minute walk from the property. There is NO WIFI at the property but ample free WiFi at the Marina itself. We like to encourage a ‘digital detox’ at this particular property. We usually use the Air BNB service ‘Key Nest’ for Key collection, please check with us if you have any questions about this, it’s very safe and convenient but the Key Nest is located a few minutes from The Marina, in Kemptown. PLEASE make sure that you have read and understood ALL of this information. It’s a unique, wonderful space but we cannot take responsibility for any issues that may occur as a result of the listing not being thoroughly read.
Brighton Marina is the perfect safe, secure and amenity rich location for your vacation, with unlimited free parking, 24 hour security, CCTV and easy transport links to the centre of Brighton and Hove (you can walk to Brighton Pier in around 30 minutes). The Marina itself has direct beach access and glorious views of the iconic Seven Sisters. There are a host of great eating options including Cafe Rouge, Zizzi, Prezzo, Five Guys (the BEST burgers!), TGI Fridays, Las Iguanas, etc etc. There is a large Wetherspoons, a great cocktail bar at The Malmaison, independent coffee shops and boutiques and a 24 hour ASDA for grocery shopping (or stocking up on treats!). For breakfast and lunch, we really like The Cherry Tree in the Marina Square (behind The Harvester). There is also a cinema, casino and bowling alley, so literally everything you need is all in one location. Fashionable Kemptown, with its gorgeous shops and restaurants is only a 10 minute walk and the iconic Brighton Pier is only a 30 minute stroll along the seafront, with plenty of interesting buildings and cafes and things to do along the way (crazy golf, open air cinema, zip wire). In summer you can catch the adorable VOLKS electric train. Brighton and Hove have some of the best independent shopping and eating in the U.K.

A light and spacious room detached from the main house. It has its own entrance and is set in a beautiful, sub tropical garden with a hot tub that can be used by guests if requested in advance. (If guests do not request to use the hot tub, the cleaning fee will be refunded and the hot tub will not be prepared or available to use) 15 mins walk to Ovingdean beach and 10 mins drive to Brighton town centre.
Our garden room is detached from the main house and has its own private entrance. It has an extremely comfortable, double bed with the most luxurious duvet, oak floors and a bathroom with a large walk-in shower and beautiful stone tiles. We have recently installed a Smart TV with freeview and DVD player and there is a large selection of DVD's to choose from. The garden room was recently built and completed in 2012. As the room is detached from the main house, our guests can come and go as they please and are welcome to enjoy our stunning garden and exclusive use of the hot tub which is cleaned and maintained regularly for guests. Please let us know in advance if you might like to use it as it is not up to temperature all the time and cannot be guaranteed. (If guests do not request to use the hot tub, the cleaning fee will be refunded and the hot tub will not be prepared or available to use) . Breakfast is included and there are also tea and coffee making facilities including a small fridge in the room. We have a little boy, Harrison, who is 9 and is very respectful of our guests but you may see him using the garden on sunny days. We are situated in Ovingdean, just outside the city of Brighton. It is a very old village with an 11th Century Church just a short walk from the house. We are very lucky to have the Sussex Downs on one side of us and the beach on the other, just a 15 minute walk away. Ovingdean beach is reached via a flight of steps and has a large stretch of sand when the tide is out and is great for rock pooling. There is also a little cafe, open on sunny days, that serves tea in proper mugs and homemade cakes & bacon sandwiches! There is a local shop just up the road which sells the essentials like bread and milk etc. We are about a 10 minute drive from Brighton city centre and there are buses that go from the seafront.
Ovingdean is a little bit of countryside by the sea. It is quiet and beautiful yet so close to Brighton we get the best of everything.

Just a few minutes walk downhill from the South Downs Way ‘The Loft’ is the perfect place to retreat after a long day’s hike or cycle. With our local pub 300 meters up the road a pint and a hearty meal await. ‘The Loft’ is situated in a quintessentially English village where a 16th century thatched cottage can be seen across the garden and Virginia Woolf’s ‘Monks House’ is just down the road. You can't help but relax and unwind when you visit The Loft. It's the perfect get away.
The Loft is a light, modern first floor apartment with its own private entrance and parking space. The kitchen is well equipped with all you will need and tea and coffee making facilities will be waiting for you when you arrive. Free wi-fi is available too. We also offer an optional 'breakfast tray' and fresh eggs from our own chickens that you'll see when you visit. Please enquire about prices and products when booking.
Rodmell is a lovely quiet village. Whilst there are no streetlights or shops we do have a variety of interesting buildings and history abounds, from thatched cottages and the 12th century St Peters Church to The Monks House (former home of Virginia Woolf and now owned by the National Trust) and our local pub The Abergavenny Arms.

* We are offering a ‘self Isolation live and work space’ during these difficult times. We can do your shop and deliver to your door and bring deliveries without physical contact. Due to current health concerns we’re taking extra care to deep clean the flat on every turn over. We wash all bedding , towels and covers on a hot wash, in addition to this wipe down all surfaces and handles after a proper clean with a bleach solution. We also have cleaning products on hand should you wish to use them
Our flat is a brand new renovation in the centre of Lewes, originally the beer cellar for The Red White and Blue pub built in 1827 it is now a light and airy, modern well equipped space for a relaxing get away. You have your own front door and the space is completely self contained. The kitchen has an electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine and all the items you'd need if you wanted to cook up a feast. Should you want to eat out the flat is in the very centre of Lewes so all the pubs and restaurants Lewes has to offer are only ever a few minutes walk away.
Lewes is a busy town with lots going on, the town boasts a huge amount of independent shops and restaurants, The Needlemakers is a great place for shopping as is Cliffe High Street for antiquing.

The room is very light with a comfortable bed. The house is close to Lewes, Sussex University and 8 miles from Brighton. It's a 5 minutes walk to the South Downs (15 mins to the South Downs Way). The location is normally very quiet and peaceful, perfect for walkers and cyclists. When the weather is good you are welcome to sit in the garden. Super wygodne łóżko, pyszne ogrzewanie podłogowe, duże okna, ekspres do espresso, śniadanie kontynentalne, bardzo gościnny gospodarz, i 15-20 minut spacerem do wspaniałego Lewes, gdzie można robić zakupy w niezależnych sklepach, pić pyszną kawę w niektórych uroczych miejscach, i jedz ze stylem i zdrowymi opcjami.

The space consists of an annex to the main house and a separate garden room, situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood. You have your own front door to the annex with dining room, kitchen and bathroom. The garden room, we call it the cabin, is for sleeping and hanging out. There is decking outside with table and chairs, and your own garden. The South Downs is a two to three-minute walk away, Lewes Town centre is 1.3m with buses from the end of our street.
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: 1. Our space is completely self-contained and separate from the main house. 2. We have self-check-in for when people arrive late. Usually, I would meet you to show you around but if you would prefer, just ask for self-check-in and I will send you all the details you need to be comfortable. 3. As well as the regular thorough clean, we now disinfect surfaces, door handles, and light switches before you arrive. We will start with the cabin as this is probably where you will spend most of your time while here. The cabin can be arranged with a king-size double bed or with twin beds - if you could let us know your preference that would be appreciated. We can also provide a floor mattress and a baby’s cot with bassinet and changing table. This makes the space suitable for a couple, a single person, a family of four or three adults sharing. There is provision for hanging and storing your clothes and a tea bar with a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, herb teas, and long-life milk. There is also a mini-fridge that can store a small bottle of milk or a couple of canned drinks, it does make a very slight buzzing noise so some people may choose not to use it. There are two rattan chairs and a coffee table; a downlighter for reading by; and a Wi-fi signal for streaming TV on your laptop. Please note that the mobile phone signal can vary according to supplier and in some cases may not be available in the cabin. A chemical toilet (non-smelly!) is tucked behind a screen in the corner in case you need a pee in the night. Umbrellas are provided in case it rains. The cabin is set in your own garden area separated from the house by a large Jasmine hedge. There is decking outside the cabin with a table and chairs. The garden is mainly laid to lawn with an apple tree in the middle and a flower bed. A few strawberry and raspberry plants can be picked for breakfast when in season. There are torches provided in the cabin and the kitchen but there will be sufficient lighting at all times in the night for finding your way between cabin and annex. Down a few shallow steps from this garden, past the hedge, is the patio at the rear of the main house. This is a space that we will use. There is a pond contained behind a wall, no fish but you may see frogs or newts. The kitchen in the annex has a worktop stove with oven, grill, and hob combined. There is also a microwave oven, fridge, toaster, kettle and all the usual kitchen pots pans and utensils. We will provide a small bottle of milk in the fridge and tea, coffee, sugar, herb teas, and various condiments. There is also a manual with instructions for use of all the various appliances. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the kitchen for your use but these are also used by us and for stays longer than three nights we may ask to arrange access for us at your convenience. The bathroom includes a toilet, a small sink, and a shower. We will provide soap, shampoo and conditioner, and hand and bath towels for each of you. The dining room includes a table and chairs, plates, bowls, cutlery, pepper, and salt. We can provide a booster seat for infants to sit at the table with a child's plate and cutlery. There is Wi-fi available. At the front of the house, there is off-street parking for one car with free parking elsewhere on the street. There is a key safe by your front door for self-check-in when needed, though often we will be here to welcome you and show you around. We wish your stay to be pleasant and comfortable. Please let us know if there is anything you need that we can help with.
We are in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Lewes. Access to the South Downs is a two to three-minute walk away. Lewes is a thriving, historical market town, popular with tourists, with small independent shops, restaurants, coffee houses, and supermarkets. The tidal River Ouse winds through the town. Brighton and the universities are easily accessible by car, bus or train. Rottingdean, Saltdean, Seaford, and Eastbourne are lovely coastal places to visit. Glyndebourne Opera House is close to Lewes. The Nevill Juvenile Bonfire parade passes right by the house with their firework display close by (for 2019 this will be on Saturday 16th November).

This is the one large bedroom/sittingroom. It looks over the Marina, to the horizon. There are windows to both sides, and lets plenty of light through early morning. Also, I am happy at times to put an extra single-bed in the room, if there is a group of 3 staying; it would not be a problem...
The house sits on the cliff, looking over Brighton-marina and the sea! It also looks over our large garden and patio, with the greenhouse sitting at the far end! There is one large bedroom upstairs(with its own sitting-room area adjoined. And the room has access to another sun-room which gives you panoramic views of the outside area. There are two single beds which can be put together as one full, but also I am happy to put another single mattress in the room if 3 people wanted to stay there. There is a bathroom at the end of the hallway...
The street is very quiet in the evening, once the day has come to an end, That's when the seagulls have there right of passage!

Here is a simple, bright, cosy, small double bedroom and a warm welcome awaits if you need to stay in Lewes for business or play. The room is basic - a double bed and storage space. (There is not much moving about space). I am a cook and can offer a home cooked meal - dinner, breakfast or packed lunch if desired. There are warm drinks to be made in your space and a bed that everybody says is so comfortable they don't want to leave it.
    Shared bathroom. Cat. Garden.
We live in the the centre of Lewes which is a very unique, beautiful, bohemian town in East Sussex. 20 mins from the sea and on the River Ouse with the downs on our doorstep for brisk walks with breathtaking views. Our home is in quite a built up residential area and considering this it is mostly very quiet day and night. It's a 10 minute walk into town and one of the best pubs for food, The Pelham Arms, is 5 minutes away. Lewes has great restaurants and pubs, an independent cinema and cafe, a new flotation spa, antique markets, a historical outdoor pool and is a short bus ride to Brighton and Hove.
  • Mieliśmy fantastyczny pobyt u Anny. Bardzo gościnny i przytulny, nieskazitelnie czysty i idealnie położony. Herbata i kawa dostarczane wraz z super smaczną bezglutenową granolą domowej roboty. Świetny pobyt - gorąco polecam.

  • Mieliśmy cudowny pobyt w miejscu Anny podczas naszej ostatniej wizyty w Lewes.

Our cool and comfortable garden cabin with ensuite shower and garden views has a truly relaxed feeling! It comfortably fits two and is a short hop from the centre of Brighton, being based in the suburb of Woodingdean. A self contained quiet space close to town, downs and the sea.
Come and stay in our lovely garden cabin. It can be configured to sleep 1 or 2 people and has a lovely little ensuite and views out on to the garden. There is a tv and wifi, fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities. Neutrally decorated in whites and blues it is a calm relaxed space where you can switch off and relax. Linen and towels provided. (We have put family friendly as you can fit a cot if you would like to. We lived in this cabin for six months with our then 2 year old while the house was refurbished! It depends how roomy you like your rooms to be! )
Woodingdean is just 3 miles from the centre of Brighton allowing amazing access in and out of city be it by car, bus, bike or even on foot. We are surrounded by the beautiful downs and are the highest point in the city so the views are stunning. Situated just past the Brighton race course and hovering up above the marina we really do have the best of both worlds, close enough to reach the bustle and hub of town easily but just out enough to enjoy the calm of the countryside. The walks across the downs are simply breathtaking and within minutes you are cut off from the streets - great for both running and walking. You can easily reach the pretty village of Rottingdean and once there enjoy the calmer beach than that of Brighton. Access out to Lewes and London couldn't be simpler with the Falmer road bypass taking you out on to the A27 and past Sussex and Brighton University. The new Amex falmer stadium is just up the road as is the Brighton race course in the opposite direction. We have good bus links with the bus stop being just outside our house. On average the ride in to town takes around 15 minutes. Woodingdean has a good selection of small shops, chemist, post office, two small supermarkets and a library as well as a Drs should you need one.

I have a lovely, first floor single room in my Edwardian house in the historic heart of Rottingdean. It is a quiet room with views of cottages and gardens. There is a very comfortable bed, original Edwardian wardrobe and restored antique drawers & desk. The room is tastfully decorated in a very peaceful colour scheme. There is a TV which offers bbc iplayer, Now TV and YouTube. Tea & coffee making facilities are provided. Along the landing there is a bathroom with a bath/shower & separate toilet.
Within a few minutes walk of my house you can see the beautiful St Margarets Church, the duck pond, the old village green and the picturesque Kipling Gardens. Also very close is the Grange art gallery & museum & the Windmill. The house is only 350 metres from the beach & seafront so perfect for an evening stroll before dinner. As my house is right in the centre of the village I don't offer breakfast. There are so many coffee shops and cafes that do a wonderful English Breakfast, Eggs Benedict or freshly baked croissants you won't go hungry. You will be spoilt for choice for traditional village pubs which offer a fantastic selection of local beers and gins and some offer live music. Only a 10-minute drive or bus ride to Brighton Marina and the cosmopolitan city centre, with numerous bars, live music, eateries, theatres, art galleries and antique shops. Enjoy shopping along The Lanes, saunter along the pier, visit the Royal Pavilion or ride the new i360. The glorious South Downs National Park with its excellent walks and cycle routes can be easily accessed from Rottingdean.
Rottingdean is often described as the hidden gem of Brighton. It has a special feel to it and although it is only 2 miles outside the city it retains all the characteristics of a village. It dates back to the Domesday book and has a Norman church and a pond and village green at it's heart. There are many pretty old cottages and historic houses in the village. The famous writer Rudyard Kipling, the Pre-Raphelite artist Edward Burne Jones and the artist William Nicholson all once resided in Rottingdean. There is a wonderful museum - The Grange with the most tranquil tea garden you can find. My house is right at the centre of village life so finding a place to have coffee is not difficult. There are many coffee shops and cafes (breakfast at the Sea Spray on the seafront is a must). Rottingdean boasts 5 pubs serving local ales and good food to suit all pockets. The seafront is a wonderful place whether in winter or summer.

Chciałbym zarezerwować ponownie podczas mojej następnej podróży do Rottingdean!
