We live in a typical cosy and charming small cornish village called Mitchell, very centrally located and near the A30. (You will not have any problems with road noise though in the accommodation). There is a brand new kids play field, ping pong tables and a football field in the village. Our studio is a 2 min walk from the Plume of Feathers, a highly rated pub/restaurant. The Plume of feathers is a dog and kids friendly place. Every Tuesday (except during the summer months) they organise a pub quiz. There is also a nice beer garden to enjoy a drink when the sun is out. There is a 'pick your own' fruit farm (strawberries, raspberries,...) at one end of the village (great fun for the kids) and a rose farm at the other end. We are only an 8 min drive away from the famous wedding venue Nancarrow farm. Every saturday there is a big car boot sale in the village. Mitchell is ideally located to explore cornwall. There is some much to see in Cornwall so our central location is absolutely perfect to visit the east, west, north and south of cornwall. We are right in the middle between Newquay and Truro.

Wysoce polecany!

    Gemma2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
Łóżka były wygodne, a grzejniki ścienne w każdym pokoju działały szybko później wieczorem, aby mieć to miejsce przytulny i ciepły.

  • Spędziliśmy cudowne 6 dni w Three Acres Farm w Truro.

Well presented cottage with traditional features in the heart of the village of Probus. The Cottage, No 1 Fore Street, is perfect for exploring Cornwall. If you prefer to stay in and relax, the decked garden is a sun trap.
Lots of space for you to enjoy whether it's in the lounge watching the TV or in the dining room having a coffee at the table (range cooker is decorative only). The garden is a lovely space to relax and has a gas barbecue for a sunny day. The bedrooms are light and airy with nice furnishings, the bathroom is spacious and functional and the kitchen provides what you need for your stay. The Cottage has some nice traditional features and little quirks in layout you would expect from an old place.

Welcome to the Shabby Shack. The Shabby Shack wasn't always shabby it was once a wagon unloved and lost to the Cornish undergrowth. It hadn't been used for 30 years and was falling to bits, slowly. However, after a year of painting, sawing, polishing and wiring, the wagon has had a new lease of life and has been up-cycled to the Shabbiest Chichiest Shack in Cornwall. Come and enjoy staying in Shabby as much as we loved up-cycling him
The shabby shack is completely off grid all electricity comes from solar panels. There is absolutely no hidden gas bottles powering anything. This mean you have one of the most environmentally friendly holidays in Cornwall. A week here and you ll be Smug in the knowledge that your Carbon foot print was ant sized. If the sun does nt shine a day or so lighting the wood burner provides a source of heat and cooking ; the wood is from the surrounding farmland so you can be snug but also still smug in the knowledge that no fracking or drilling has occurred to heat or feed you. The location is ideal for getting that much craved for peace and tranquility.
The odd bird may peer at you, a butter fly may flutter by. I would watch out for the local Owl who may swoop over you at night and give you a hoot.

Little Carwinnick is a beautifully converted barn and is superbly presented by the owners. It is a truly superb place to stay, being centrally heated and double glazed, yet retaining its undoubted character, with oak timber floors and exposed stonework, a newly fitted kitchen and bathroom. Located in a peaceful, yet extremely convenient location at the north end of the Roseland Peninsula. Carwinnick is superbly positioned for those wanting to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan or the Eden Project, both of which are less than 20 minutes drive away. The barn benefits from a sizeable living space with comfortable sofas, a flat screen TV and a fully fitted modern kitchen. There is access onto the patio area with its tables and chairs, ideal for al fresco dining. The property stands in gardens and grounds extending to around 2 acres. The majority is grassed, making it an ideal area for children to play and explore. There is a small copse where bluebells flower in the spring. In addition the Owners have set over 3,000 daffodil bulbs since the development was completed! The village of Tregony (3.5 miles away) in Cornwall is often referrred to as the 'gateway to the Roseland'. The exceptionally wide Fore Street is a relic from the days when this was a busy port and market town with considerable traffic. The port has long since silted up due in part to china clay workings up stream, but Tregony has retained its charm. Tregony has an unusual clock tower on Fore Street and the seventeenth century almshouses which boast an unusual wooden gallery. The site of a twelfth century Norman castle known as ‘Treg-ney’ from which the village got its name is situated on Tregony Hill. Tregony has a good local convenience store, plus a Post Office and good village pub in the Kings Arms. For really good food, we recommend the Kings Head at Ruan Lanihorne, only a short drive away. The city of Truro (10 miles away) with it's great shopping including a Tesco, Sainsburys & Marks & Spencers, is within a 15 minute drive of Tregony. St Austell (5 miles away) was once the major producer of the worlds China Clay, now with cheaper foreign imports the industry is in decline but The Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum set in two former working pits depicts the countryside in years gone by. Wet weather activities could include the visitor centre at St Austell Brewery, sampling beers and ales made on the premises. The brewery has recently started exporting their products across the Tamar River to England, so you may just find where your favourite brew is made. With large attractions such as the Eden Project on the outskirts of St Austell, The Lost Gardens of Heligan a 20 minute drive towards Mevagissey, and Charlestown mere minutes away it provides an ideal base for your travels. The coastal town of Fowey is a simple 20 minutes drive past the China Clay port of Par, offering fabulous restaurants, galleries and gift shops. A short car ferry across the river takes you on to Polruan. Daphne du Maurier spent her later years in properties in and around Fowey, a festival of her works takes place each May.

A Wooden studio chalet right on the edge of the Tresillian river. Inside there is a small kitchenette area allowing the freedom to cook, a table and chairs by the window enabling eating with a view, a bathroom with a shower and a large kingsize bed with a memory foam mattress for your comfort. Upstairs there is an extra lounge area with TV. Outside is your own private courtyard with heated seating area undercover right by the river. There are additional lounging seats to enjoy our summers.
Your space is right beside the river therefore you are welcome to bring your paddle boards or kayaks with you and enjoy the river. Please be aware the river is tidal and not in all day. We also have a covered area suitable for storing bikes during your stay, this is open and not lockable. You can fish in the river as long as you hold a UK river licence. This can be purchased at the post office right next door. Please note these activities are not covered as part of your stay and will be undertaken entirely with your own equipment and at your own risk. We do not provide activities and are not covered for them by insurance.
We are two and a half miles from Truro city centre but once you come into our driveway it can feel as if you are miles from the city. Opposite the rive, it is treelined and there is lots of wildlife to see, from birds to deer. You can Kayak on the river as long as you are happy to work with the tide as the river is tidal. We are on the main road through Tresillian next to the petrol station, this also has a shop and post office to offer services close by. There is a village pub within walking distance and a pasty shop for an easy lunch. Waitrose is a mile up the road to enable more food shopping and there is a good selection of main stream and individual shops in Truro. There is a bus stop approximately 200 yards from the property on a main bus route which serves all of Cornwall and beyond. There is a train station in Truro and an airport 16 miles away near Newquay.

Our Barn is at the end of a bumpy farm lane, deep in the Cornish countryside, peaceful and tranquil. We have a light and spacious spare room with a comfy double bed (and single sofa-bed or mattress for children). There is a large garden and countryside footpaths start outside the gate. Centrally located and handy for major A30 and A390 roads, we are ideally placed to access north and south coasts, the towns of Truro, St Austell and Newquay and attractions like Eden, Heligan and Bodmin Moor.
Our farm is in a beautiful valley at the end of a lane. We are peacefully isolated but a five minute walk up the lane leads to the village with a good shop and bus links. Even in mid-summer when Cornwall is busy, the farm is an oasis of tranquillity. Our water comes from a bore hole and is heated by solar panels.
Our little village has a good local shop, an excellent artisan bakery for breakfast goodies and the best pasties in Cornwall (in my opinion!) are made nearby - perfect to take with you for picnic lunch. You can walk across the fields to the next village and drop into the pub for excellent food before wandering home again. Neighbouring villages boast an excellent fish and chip shop or Chinese restaurant offering takeaway. Truro and St Austell, with many excellent pubs and eateries, are only eight miles away. 15 miles to Eden, 11 miles to the nearby Roseland Peninsula, beautiful gardens and woodland walks, surfing on the north coast - there's plenty to do within easy driving distance.

Nasz mały chłopiec uwielbiał karmić ptaki i zwiedzać ogrody. Polecimy ten mały klejnot naszym przyjaciołom i wrócimy!

Chris and David warmly welcome you to our quality B&B in a unique and listed Cornish cottage dating from the late 1600’s. North and south coastlines are within easy reach by car. The Rooms: We have three double letting rooms, all en suite with great showers! Room two is our small double with 4'6" bed. The Breakfast: Where possible, we source breakfast ingredients locally and make the most of some fantastic Cornish produce – sausages and bacon from the village farm shop and free range eggs from ‘Cracking Eggs’ of Probus. We offer a hearty cooked breakfast and also lighter alternatives, including home-made American style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit and various vegetarian options, all served at a time of your choosing. Accessibility: Narrow stairs and sloping floors, whilst being characterful and quirky, may, unfortunately, make our accommodation unsuitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
