“Take a step into the past as you enter North Creek’s restored 1872 Adirondack/D&H Railroad Depot. Saved from the brink of demolition, the North Creek Railroad Station now serves as a Museum (with a fabulous diorama), heritage center, as well as a cultural and economic hub in Historic North Creek. ”

“ How Plattsburgh’s Only Historic House Museum Came To Be. When Fannie Hall died on October 4, 1913, it was the end of the Delord family. In her will, she left her “historic relics” to a museum. Fannie also left the house to the Physicians Hospital. For the next ten years, her faithful servant Catherine Dowling served as caretaker of the house, protecting and preserving not only the house but also Fannie’s historic relics. Today the Museum is filled with portraits, furniture, dinnerware, books, letters and personal items owned by three generations of the Delord family. Stop by the Museum and see what we are all about!”

“Heavily steeped in history, the 35 acre park with scene of warfare between the Algonquin and Iroquois Indian tribes, and between Indian and American colonies during the revolution. Be sure to see these historic monuments: statue of father Isaac Jogues, the first white man to have seen lake George; bronze sculpture of the Indian; the fugures of General William Johnson and King Hendrick of the Mohawks. Also are the remains of the southwest Bastions of the old Fort George stone fortress. Enjoy a beautiful picnic setting of trees with fireplaces, picnic tables, pavilion, water and sanitary facilities. Sits across the lake. Small parking fee.”
