Thank you, Cristian, for your lovely comments and all the stars. I'm very appreciative.
Yes, guests who stay with me do need to travel here by car as you did. I want to re-confirm that there is no public transportation into/out of this very private, quiet, wooded-suburban area.
Most of the people who stay with me are professionals coming in to work at local corporations, office parks, hospitals, and universities. That's because this home is just 1.1 miles/3 minutes to Route 15/Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway in one direction -- and it's only 1.8 miles/4 minutes to Route 34 in the other. Route 1/Boston Post Road is about 10 minutes away.
And you're right. We don't seem to have quaint coffee shops, the kind with with outdoor tables and umbrellas. For the business traveler, however, there's a popular diner just 2.4 miles away on Route 34 that opens at 6 a.m. Within approx. 400 to 1,000 feet of it, there are six, nationally-known chains (with drive thrus), including Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts. Over on the Boston Post Road/Route 1), there are many, many similar opportunities. There's a Dunkin' Donut at the Orange Service Plaza of Merritt/Wilbur Cross Pkway that's 1.4 miles/4 minutes from here.
Of course, regarding meals, guests are most welcome to keep food in my kitchen cabinets and refrigerator -- and to use the cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and utensils.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. You were a wonderful, wonderful guest. I very much enjoyed having you stay with me. With great appreciation, P
