This ''Maison de Maître'' was built in the 17th century. It has authentic elements like stone and wooden staircases and floors, royal entries, several chimneys, 3 meter high ceilings etc.
This house has a courtyard and garden and is surrounded by a stonebuilt wall. This garden is open for the guests, which are staying in the cottage.
The cottage has an equiped kitchen, with oven, micro-wave, 4pl.electric cooker, washingmachine, fridge and coffee-machine. The kitchen and living-area is one open space.
The living-area has a (sleeping)couch, television, radio and cd.player. The stonebuilt staircase leads you to the large sleeping-room, with one 2personsbed and one 1 persoonsbed and to the bathroom with shower, handwashbassin, bidet and toilet.
The mainhouse house has 3 rooms,( each: one 2 pers.bed ) 2 bathrooms ( each: shower,handwashbassin and toilet ), a large diningroom , livingroom and kitchen. Is a little village on the river the Auvézère and is situated at 20km from Périgueux, the capital of the Dordogne.
You can swim in the river, the Auvézère and there is a little beach.
You can hire a canoe, or the tenniscourt, go fishing and biking, just around the corner.
In the village you will find a backery, a boutcher, a grocery, a hairdresser, a bar, a doctor, a pharmacist and fysotherapist.
On friday morning there is a local market to buy the products of the region.
