'The Cottage' is an officially accredited 3.5 star two bedroom, fully equipped, self-catering residence at The Bryn at Tilba. It is separate from the owners' residence and 'The Bryn' (B&B) and caters for families with up to two children or 3 adults.
The Cottage is a small, separate residence that comfortably accommodates a family with two children or 3 adults providing all guests are prepared to share one (large) bathroom. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table for 4, a spacious light filled living room with a wood combustion fire and gas space heater, floor fan, one large bathroom with toilet, separate bath/shower, heated towel rails and a built in laundry. Both the master bedroom (one queen size bed) and the small bunk room (2 single beds) have comfortable beds with beautiful Yves Delorme bed linen. There is free to air TV and DVD with abundant DVDs. The sunny wrap around verandah houses an excellent gas BBQ and has spectacular views to nearby Gulaga (Mount Dromedary) and a beautiful valley. All bed and bath linen is provided and new linen provided on the fourth day if guests are staying for more than 7 days. Coffee, tea and sugar are also provided. Free Wi-Fi access (on fair usage basis). Wi Fi codes are available in the information booklet in The Cottage. Free undercover parking (carport) for one car is available just outside The Cottage.
As a paying guest you have the exclusive use of The Cottage amenities, its verandah and in general, the grounds of The Bryn at Tilba. You may not access the owners' private residence or gardens (unless invited) or the verandah and rooms of 'The Bryn' (B&B) as this is a private space for guests staying in the B&B.

Sharon and Peter (owners) welcome you upon arrival and provide an orientation to your accommodation and the overall property. We are very happy to share information on local sight seeing opportunities and activities. We're also available to assist you during your stay if the need arises and may be contacted on the landline or mobile phones - our phone numbers are published on the information booklet in each room. Note: Room servicing is not provided for residents in The Cottage.

A minimum two night stay applies at all times. Reception hours are 7.30am to 7.30pm. Check in is from 2pm - 7.30pm. If arriving later than 7.30pm you are asked to ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) to advise your expected time of arrival. Check out is by 10am.
Our driveway is well lit to help you find the way to your accommodation.
As Tilba is a high rainfall area, our grounds can be often quite boggy. You are are asked to stay on the 'cobbled road' when driving to avoid being bogged as well as to protect our grounds.
The Bryn at Tilba is a rural property and hazards such as steep slopes, rocky outcrops, holes and sticks exist. Please exercise caution when out and about on the property and to use a torch if walking at night.
Snakes, ticks, spiders and other insects pose a potential hazard and you are advised to wear sturdy shoes if out and about on the property.
Mosquitoes are abundant in warmer months. Personal insect repellant is provided and is located under the sink in the kitchen.
A first aid kit is available in the drawer in the bathroom.
Filtered tank water is used for drinking as well as kitchen, laundry and bathroom purposes.
The Bryn at Tilba has three residences, all in close promixity.
You are asked to respect and uphold the right of all guests (and owners) on the property to enjoy a safe, relaxing and enjoyable stay.
A NON-SMOKING policy applies to all internal areas and the verandah of The Cottage.
Pets are NOT allowed in The Cottage or on the entire property.
Please seek permission from the owners' if you would like to bring visitors to the property.
All of our amenities are for the exclusive use of paying guests. You will need to negotiate with owners if you would like to entertain visitors at The Cottage. Additional charges may apply for use by visitors of our amenities.
You are asked to:
* keep all noise at a reasonable level
* keep The Cottage and surrounding area clean and tidy throughout your stay
* return borrowed items (books, games etc) to their appropriate location after use
* clean up after tea/coffee and meals other than breakfast
* clean the BBQ after each use
Please help us keep OUR SEPTIC SYSTEM functional by:
* not flushing anything other than toilet paper in toilets
* scraping any food scraps, creamy or greasy substances into bins before washing up
Please turn off appliances - lights, heaters, TVs etc prior to going out
Please turn off the gas space heater in living room and external lights before going to bed.
Please use screen doors to avoid insects and wild life during the day and close entry door at night.

Sharon Perkins (and partner Peter Hopkins) own and manage - The Bryn at Tilba, an officially accredited 4.5 Star Bed and Breakfast just out of Central Tilba on the South Coast of NSW. Our property comprises - 'The Bryn' (B&B) - an elegant, country house and 'The Cottage' - a two bedroom, self catering residence. Both residences have recently been renovated to a very high standard and are separate to the owners' home - 'Morilla'. Our property is set on 8 acres of tranquil park-like grounds in a magical rural-coastal setting. We are a short walk to historic Central Tilba village, just around the corner from esteemed neighbour - River Cottage Australia; and only a few minutes drive to pristine, uncrowded beaches and walking trails. Charming nearby coastal towns - Bermagui and Narooma, are popular tourist destinations and provide a range of dining options. Tilba Region is home to much loved tourist destinations including Gulaga National Park and Montague Is.
