A renovated stone farmhouse in a tiny village that's 10 min. from the sea. Owned by the co-author of the Bradt Travel Guide to Istria, Thammy Evans, and her husband Vic, the home sleeps 8-12, has a private pool, fireplaces, and all the amenities.
Although the house comprises three spaces, we rent it out as one space. The space sleeps 10, and even 12 or 14 if you don't mind a pull-out sofa. The prices on AirBNB assume 8-10 guests - so we adjust it up or down if you are more or less guests than that - - except during peak season (July - August) where the prices are fixed irrespective of the number of guests.
Before joining AirBNB, we had created a web site with information about the area and pictures of the house - although all of those pictures are now here. The house is called Ty Istra if you want to find it on the web. If you don't find answers to your questions here (or there) - don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks for looking!
Pool, parking, kitchen, (fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and a clothes washer), Sat TV, DVD players, loads of books. Guests have access to and exclusive use of the entire house (all 3 living spaces)
Kontakt z gośćmi
Depending on when you book, we may or may not be there (in separate space). We are available by phone/email 24 hours and do not mind being contacted. We have a colleague that arranges for any repairs, missing items, etc. in our absence, so do not hesitate to bring such things to our attention.
Inne ważne rzeczy
There are loads of things to do in the area, including, of course heading to the seaside, but also water parks, beautiful hilltop towns with cobblestone streets, fantastic food and wine, biking, sailing, diving, boat rides - to mention a few of the most popular. We are happy to recommend many other things 'off the beaten path' to our guests.
A couple of other things to note. The house sits next to a narrow, paved road, which isn't used much. The occasional tractor, a few vehicles from the neighbourhood, deliveries, that's about it. A neighbor parks his car along the road. Also, the yard area next to the house measures about 25 sq. meters. Similarly, in the back by the pool there is limited space around. We have a few sunbeds on one side, as you can see in the pictures.
We hope our guests will simply relax and enjoy the rural Istrian experience - which generally means sunshine, sea, seafood and wine. We would appreciate it if guests treated the house as if it was their own. Use what is there in terms of food stuffs, but if you finish something, pls replace it. Dogs are allowed, but of course we'd like to keep things clean/tidy. Smoking is only allowed outside.
Just a guy.
